you made a good point about the echoing of ‘want’ echoing the never ending wants that we chase. I had caught the cave echoing spin on it, but not the deeper meaning of it. also, at the end, when you said it’s about more than lowering your expectations, it’s about being the person you wanna find, that’s a really interesting take. personally I’ve always seen it as, don’t look for shallow traits in someone you want a deeper relationship from, look for the things you need from them to balance each other out and forgive the rest. maybe both takes are true, idk.

Late to the party, but I figured I'd leave my thoughts here anyway. There is an old saying of which I can't remember for the life of me where it originally is from. But it still is pretty spot on, and that is "Love will find you when you stop actively looking for it". I also believe you hit the nail on the head with the comment "Be the person whom you'd love". Because that is pretty true. If you can't love yourself, how do you expect being able to love someone else. Happyness attract happyness.

Yes! I loved your last point, "be the person you want to find"! There's so many men and women out there that are good looking (or not) that have zero interesting hobbies or skills or personality, do nothing to improve their own skills or enrich their own lives, then complain that they can't find a partner. A friend of mine paints dungeon and dragon figures and he was worried about mentioning it on his online dating profile. I told him it's way more interesting to talk to a guy with an actual hobby than it is to talk to some random dude who's hobbies include drinking and...movies, or something? Haha

I would love for your thoughts on his “Repeat Stuff” and “Oh Bo”! They both point out flaws in the music industry similar to “Country Song”. Also I’m sure this has been said already but to really see how he’s grown as a comedian and musician, I would go back to his older stuff too!! Rant, Words Words Words, Nerds, Love Is….. he’s come out and said now he finds most of his older stuff cringey and it’s interesting I get those same opinions from people I show his older stuff. But me, having watched Bo since he first uploaded to RU-vid, I’ve always loved his stuff even from the beginning. It’s just super interesting.

Hello, IDK if you will see this comment since the video is so old, but i am at 1:38 and the thing you said about the endless want was really interesting and a unique take I have never heard from the other 20 people I have watched react to bo, and this is the exact reason i love watching bo burnham reactions, because everyone kind of gets their own version of his meanings.

Another awesome reaction man! I love your breakdowns and it’s really cool watching you tease out the deeper meanings now that you know what to look for! Early congrats on the 14 years!!! What you said is very true. I’ve been with my wife for 6 years now and we knew each other for a decade before getting together. It worked out pretty much exactly as you described it. We both had this idea of what the perfect other half was supposed to be and spent 10 years chasing this and that before bumping back into each other and just letting it happen naturally. She didn’t hit half of the check marks on my list, but that list drastically changed once I got of taste of what I needed rather than what I thought I wanted. It’s a beautiful thing! Keep ‘em coming! Can’t wait for the next Bo reaction!

I certainly appreciate you mentioning that yeah, not everyone is even looking for a partner and that is completely valid. As someone who is under the aromantic umbrella, romance is a weird subject for me. I would be fine without a romantic partner if I couldn't find one, but I have learned that I'm not happy with just a pet for company either. I would be just as happy with just a friend to share a home with, but I know even that can be hard to find lol

Love the vids, keep up the great work. Also as a fellow Dave, we have the best name don't we? Lastly, some other comedians you might want to check out: Daniel Sloss, Jack Whitehall, Bert Kreischer's Russian Mafia story....and i am also a fan of Stephen Hughes. All good suff. I love that the man he described women wanting is basically imaginary, but the woman described for the man is actually not as far-fetched based on the qualities in the song, but of course she just died.
