Your channel has really grown on me thank you. What l have noticed after 3 years of owning an EV is how efficiency can vary depending on tempreture,wind direction, rain etc etc and by quite a lot! So comparing vehicles can only really be done in identical conditions, ie the way you did it.

How long is the course, what are some of its features (longest straightaway, turns, elevation, etc) and do you have a PHEV/BEV leaderboard for lap times?

Max regen power depends on state of charge. You should have done that test last with ~25% charge.

I thought the Bolt’s turn signals were in the tailgate mounted lights... until you opened the trunk, then they would go down to the lower bumper lights? Did they change that feature?

And the Bolt is even more if you pull and release and pull and release and pull and hold.

I would say one major issue is that at least for right now you can actually buy a Chevrolet Bolt EV, and they're pretty reasonably priced with the discounts. Versus the Kona or Niro EV which are both almost impossible to find new or used unless you're in California. One thing too I think the kona's interior is overall more comfortable and nicer, but the bolt definitely gives you more valuable information in the instrument cluster, and the backseat is actually surprisingly roomy with excellent legroom, more than even a model 3. Kona definitely has more nice tech on the interior radar cruise control etc. But you can pick up a bolt for pretty cheap net right now. The prices are beginning to rise now but I saw a brand new 2020, for $20,000.. And you can pretty regularly find them for $23k to $25k currently. That's a lot of bang for the buck.

You mean "economy" test as you're not testing energy input vs. Output. Just FYI :)

The Model Y speed in reverse is software limited. So if Police needed a faster reverse Tesla could increase the speed.

Why didn't you put better tires on the KONA ?

You can't test the Bolt at 55%, it's down 30-40hp at that.

Msrp starting range is roughly 12k difference, Kona is cheaper. Bolt is roughly same as base M3 ($38k) price.
