No matter what anyone might think about Brock as an MMA fighter the fact that the Man won the UFC heavyweight title after just a couple MMA fights really is incredible
It is, but how many other inexperienced fighters get the title shot? how much of the top end of the game is watching previous fights, noticing patterns, and training to fight the fighter. Also GSP lost to Serra due to overconfidence.
proof that at a certain level genetics and athleticism can take you there. But the generation of heavyweights he beat would get folded by the heavyweight's of today.
@@lukepier9736 He fought Peak Cane Valsquez and no Miocic or Aspinal is beating that Cane. You can go watch Joe Rogan, You are kid. Only guy that is Overpowered is Jon Jones, brock loses to him
Lesnar spoke solely in sound bites this entire season. His favorite line "chicken salad out of chicken shit" is definitely a Vince McMahon-ism that rubbed off on him, lmao
At the NFL combine Brock ran a 4.7 second 40 yard dash. Which is absolutely ridiculous for his size. But definitely a lot faster than he ran in the coaches challenge.
@@goodkrypollo1706 Are you sure? Where is that stated? Because for his first mma fight he was 262. I know 285 is the college heavyweight limit, but that doesn't mean he actually weighed that much.
Brock's the kind of guy who doesn't apologize. If there's a problem with what he said, he just brings all the guys together and says the exact same thing again...problem solved.
If you watched this video and you came away thinking Brock portrays himself as an outgoing nice guy you have the social iq of a soggy Cheeto. He couldn’t muster a sentence that didn’t borderline insult his team, and he didn’t even realize he was doing it.
This was quite refreshing too watch, too see Tony's evolution from TUF days (also all finishes 4-0) and eventually becoming the interim champ but sad to see his declined over the past couple of years. He's still one of my favorite fighters all time! This season was fun to watch back then. Thanks for the upload!
@@GhastlyCretin85 if he wouldn't have lost a close decision to Michael Johnson then it would have been a 19 fight win streak 22 if you count the ultimate fighter exhibition bouts. Can take more punishment then any other fighter. The BOAT.
Imagine if Brock spent his childhood practicing MMA or had better coaches when he was younger. He could have been the absolute GOAT. Better than John Jones, Kabib, GSP, etc. Missed opportunity.
Poses an interesting question: would you rather be the GOAT of mma and make a few million or be a powerhouse in WWE who makes probably 5-10x that? Cause Brock said he got paid WAY more in WWE and probably should have been paid a lot more by Dana.
What??? He he was a famous millionaire before the UFC. Look at it this way, how many prospects can call Dana and tell him to send them an octogan to train in. You think he didn't have the best coaches???
@@KeylorSwift I'd agree with you as far as to say Rampage had the worst *results* from his fighters/picks as a coach. But that's because Rampage treated his season like highschool in June. I believe there are worse coaches that have appeared. As someone else pointed out, Ken Shamrock. But again, I don't believe Ken's poor results were because his heart wasn't in it or he didn't care, he just had absolutely zero resistance to going from 0-100 from the slightest taunt from Tito. His seething rage and fury blinded him from being the best MMA coach he could've been. Aside from being pretty consistent with his support and teaching, Bisping had some downright despicable moments as a coach.
Tony sounded a lot better back in the day. I don’t like thinking it’s because of all the damage he’s absorbed over the years, but that might be the case. I’m hoping he can turn back the clock against Bobby and retire with a victory.
You always wonder what Brock's career would've been like if he'd of gone straight into MMA instead of the WWE. And then also, if he never had issues with diverticulitis.
The dude grew up in the country and made his living in the pro wrestling business. Nobody who has life experience in either one of those is surprised at all lol
No shock we havent heard from lenny ever since lmfaoo. I feel cheated! I want my chance. Then they do the wild card meeting and hes like uhhh I mean I can fight blah sure if I have too🤣🤣
When they say brock blew a gasket and then the camera just shows him being disappointed lmao... I think brock lesnar blowing a gasket would have a lot more fireworks
This is why I respect Brock lesnar nobody gave him his respect in the UFC because of WWE he came in the UFC and took the respect and never made excuses cm punk try to do what Brock did and failed miserably.
31:03 - Brock is such a competitor, that the pop his team made learning they'd get $1500 each if Brock won turned up the heat and you could tell Brock felt the pressure/nerves to win for them and not fail for himself. The mention of the $10'000 for him and JDS didnt even move Brock at all.
Brock is an amazing fighter and an even better coach . Watching the old ultimate fighter season 5 and the immaturity they had vs the camp with Brock you can just tell how much more elite they are because of their coach . It goes such a long way to have the right ppl with you .
25:16 Well Dana even though this is a competition, maybe these two coaches really want what's best for their fighters, and that is why Brock is so hard on them for not "having that dog in them" mentality.
Love how Brock picked up on all his wrestling experience with the coaching style and what not as you can tell he’s following what he saw from his own coaches
It's crazy but Brock really was a great coach! Lol and I didn't see that coming cause of how mean and straight forward he usually is. I didn't see that teacher/student in him. Dude was probably one of the best coaches
I wish the new ultimate fighter seasons was like this, as in the Conor McGregor and chandler one for example . I don’t know why but to me it seems like the coaches are more into it when it comes to talking and being there for the fighters like the older seasons, they showed way more of them talking and it showed them giving way more speeches and just helping out ! nowadays it seems just about showing their life at home for 20 minutes a little bit of training and then the fight 😂 I don’t know it’s weird lol
Technically, I think that’d depend on how often you usually have chicken salad in your regular day to day life. Personally, I literally never have it, so the chances of that would be crazy. If you eat it all the time, not that crazy.
Matt Hughes: "If you've got a submission go for it, just don't try to take my arm off" *Right before Matt Hughes just pummels the hell out of everybody*
