It’s time for a workout video! In this video, I share with you a brutal beginner bodyweight HIIT workout! This beginner bodyweight HIIT workout is tabata-style with a lower body focus, NO EQUIPMENT necessary! HIIT routines are a great way to increase your heart health, build endurance, and burn fat quickly due to the minimal rest that you get between exercises. If you’re looking for an at home workout, an exercise routine you can do quickly, and a workout that requires zero equipment, this tabata-style HIIT routine is just for you! Enjoy!

✨ EXERCISE ROUTINE ✨
5 Sets of 10 Different exercises
20 seconds of [Exercise A], followed by 10 seconds rest, then immediately jumping into 20 seconds of [Exercise B]. [Set] is completed when you repeat [Exercise A] and [Exercise B] twice, in the pattern of A - B - A - B. Move on to the next [Set] and repeat.
1. A) Squats → B) High Knees
2. A) Lying Leg Lift → B) Jumping Jacks
3. A) Reverse Lunge → B) Mountain Climbers
4. A) Squat Jump → B) Burpee
5. A) Squat Side Kick → B) Pop Squat
BONUS : For an extra burn (and what I accidentally ended up doing for this video), repeat this entire routine for a total of 2 times through.

SO I've discovered several things when it comes to filming workout routines... *First,* apparently my brain goes to complete mush, and even when I have the routine written out right next to me, I still mess it up. This entire workout, I ended up doing AA-BB-AA-BB, essentially doubling the entire routine I had written out. The version you're seeing here is how I wrote the routine out, NOT how I accidentally ended up doing it. ZERO idea why, but hey, nothing wrong with a longer workout haha. This is why I'm pretty much dying by the end of this video. *Second,* this is the first time I've actually filmed myself doing intensive cardio before and holy bad form toward the end there batman. 😂 Hey, this is how we learn. Let's get better together! (But try to do better than me if you can. Like with squats, tryyyy your hardest to hit parallel. Apparently, toward the end, my booty was just not dropping as low as it needed to. Now I know and I can work on correcting it!) As for workout videos in general... I asked over on twitter (twitter.com/caty135) what your favorite format was when it came to workout videos. Do you prefer silence in the background so you can listen to your own music? Voiceovers? Or like how I did here, with music and typed out exercises? Basically, let me know how I can improve these videos for you guys, and I'll try my hardest to accommodate! Great video as always,Id have to agree with the style you used in filming this video on the audio and such :) HIIT is awesome for working out its recently to what I've changed to only a longer more intense program..the insanity program from beach body its gnarly lol. but definitely seeing the results a lot faster. I will definitely try this one you did though on my rest day :P keep up the great vids :))

Caty, you killed me with this video 😂 in a good way. I definitely took more breaks than you one because my legs were just a little sore from my workout on Sunday and two because my one year old thought it would be fun for him to work out right next to me, lol! I used this as part of a warm up before a race and it worked well. Going to try and do it twice a week now as part of marathon training (not my first) to see if it helps.

Fantastic workout, first three rounds I was like " oh , it is kind of easy workout" but then the 4th round killed me, ( Squat jump and burpee is a killing combination :D ) , May be you could add a signal when rounds end, cause I am not always looking at you during workout. I am looking forward to the next orkout videos :) have a nice day

I also started feeling the burn during Set No. 4, an absolute killer! I also would really like a signal when a round ends and it would be nice to say what move is going to come next during the rest time so I can get into position. But otherwise, loved it! xx

nice work out some of the routine is also my routine as in for my warm up sessiona ya but quite quite interesting, and starjump is a complete work out too..cos when i was in e army for my nationak service, my starjump routine is made to jump higher to stretch not the numbers.

Couch to 5k is one of the best things I have encountered. Well.. considering that I have given running up for the winter...perhaps it is time to give it another go... thanks for sharing ^^ That belt is so cool!

By the end of this I could barely stand. I’m gonna be doing this another workout a stretch routine and a short muscle workout daily cause I’m tired of being depressed and seeing my sister getting stronger without me gonna see how this goes and wish me luck

Salut! Ce canal est définitivement opérationnel! J'ai juste pris une pause pendant le téléchargement pour traiter certaines choses personnelles (un déménagement, un nouvel emploi, etc.) mais je viens de filmer une nouvelle vidéo il y a quelques jours et j'espère que nous la téléchargerons dans la semaine prochaine! Pour ce qui est du français, je l’ai traduit pour aider les francophones, même si la vidéo est en anglais. Mon français n'est pas parfait, mais j'espère que c'est au moins compréhensible de vous aider. Faites moi savoir si vous avez des questions!

Thanks for the Video but please take more care of your back, when doing Squats. your back should be as straight as possible but yours looks not good :(

I need to work on the mobility in my ankles, but aside from that, things are all good! As long as you're not rounding your back and your going as low as you can go, there should be no issue, particularly with bodyweight exercises. Thank you for your concern! And I'm glad you enjoyed it regardless. :)
