@Daddy deepdic Thanks! Nerd is another word for being smart. I don't know why you would believe being stupid is a good thing. IQ is what separates us from animals. But, I guess you prefer to live in huts and to live like an animal. 😆
@@russs7574 - The 80s NBA is credited with saving the league after the 70s drug scandals. Bird, MJ, Hakeem, Magic, the Mailmain, etc., did most of the heavy lifting and transitioned into the 90s.I lost interest after the Dream Teamers started to retire. I do enjoy watching the old clips of Celtics, Knicks, Pistons, Pacers, with all the excellent passing and assists.
Barkley was one of the few power forwards who Dennis didn't play with. Dennis wasn't afraid of anyone but he knew that Barkley was just as emotionally unstable as he was and Barkley was known for hitting first.
Charles Barkley was great because he never backed down from anyone. Dennis Rodman knew that and got him to react. The Worm did that against greats like him, Oakley, Malone and Davis every season. The 90s NBA was one of its greatest decades and watching clips of games I used to watch on tv is a real treat.👍🏾
he never backed down from nobody lmao why would a bully back down if he is the one looking for trouble no rodman never backed down thats what made him great
Golden era of NBA. All these amazing athletes are in their prime. Rodman, Jordan, Barkley, AC Green, Kevin Johnson, Finley, Danny Manning. What a team btw
If you get fired up by this, see if you can find some video of Wilt Chamberlain and Bill Russell playing against each other....it was a guaranteed blood bath. And the thing about those games is the refs let them play, so neither would foul out, and they both pretty much played all 48 minutes. Celtics vs. Sixers from back then is still one of the best sports rivalries ever.
Charles Barkley always said if you want Dennis Rodman to not bother you is to hit him as hard as you can at the beginning of the game and he'll leave you alone.
@Grim Reefer Actually it did because Barkley still put up decent numbers against the Bad Boys. And when they did try to intimidate Barkley they found out the hard way Barkley was no wimp.
i don't think he was acting. Try getting an elbow to the kidney from Barkley and see how good it feels. If anything I think Rodman took it pretty well. Wouldn't be surprised if he pissed blood a couple days after that game.
@@allanhouston6759 They did have lots of talent, not a good year here though at all, they finished 41-41 and Barkley was headed to Houston the year after this.
@@artaxerxes2363 don't overlook the Pistons Just because they were too physical. That team was good. Rodman wasn't the only former bad boy playing for the Bullls, there was John Salley and James Edwards as well
@@armyvet8279 same ammount than Allen Iverson, Chris Mullin, Tracey McGrady, Dominique Wilkins, Patrick Ewing, Steve Nash, Karl Malone, John Stockton, Chris Paul, all weak players, right?
If you’ve ever played 2k u know Rodman is not even a Center. He’s not even a PF, he’s basically as big as a SF! For him to play that position against the biggest guys and be as dominant as he was is insane and a work of art of him. The mind games, defense and ballerina foot work that he had out there was unmatched.
@@zhawn4894 what’re you some sort of Rodman hater? Lmao what did he do to you? MJ literally said Dennis is the smartest player he’s played with. MJ said that. And many more Legends have said his basketball IQ was ridiculously high
Seemed like Rodman was doing shady/dirty fouls for so long, that by the time he got to the Bulls in 95 he was alot more nonchalant and slick about it. He was fun to watch, but it must have been annoying to play against him. Alot of guys went after him, but i find it incredible how Rodman never threw a punch. On a side note, Charles Barkley was virtually unpunkable
NBA: No Boys Allowed. As a kid it was scary how hard they would foul eachother. Small guys going for a layup would end up on their backs LOLnot getting up for 4-5min. And it would just be a regular foul. Now u step on somebody and it’s a foul, it’s a joke.
I still remember the year of Bulls 95 - 96 series. It was glories year for Bulls and I didn't miss any game of bulls. I think I remember of this game. . . ( I guess. . . )
@@denismarisimolde2716 what skills? Waiting for the ball so they can shoot the 3? Only a few in the NBA today have skills to post up and make their own shot.
@@denismarisimolde2716 man you're gonna need alot more skills to avoid and penetrate what's coming at you. In a soft game, you dont need much skills because you ain't gonna get hurt. They just drive and expect less resistance.
Baited? Charles dominated Worm over the entirety of their career matchups. Chuck was never on the Pistons but he WAS a Bad Boy and he let people know. Dennis never wanted the smoke
I know Dennis was an instigator. He was also a helluva force and had massive skill. A lot of fouls called on him were warranted, but he got a lot of shit calls too.
This is where the great ERA of basketball looks like and plays like. Real basketball as we say it. Now NBA is soft and it all started with the king of flop and king of complaint if he would miss the basket.
Yep, great era of basketball before all the flopping, no dense, super-teams, resting, "load management," flagrant fouls for everything, technical fouls for everything, buddy-buddy even if we are on different teams, recruiting stars to join up...sad
Personally I consider the 80's the best era of basketball. MJ carried the league in the 90's but you're right the nba was better back then than it is now with or without mj
@@ericmcgowan1993 It wasn’t better than it is now just because of some idiot refs making some idiot calls. The reason we have the different game now is not because of one man named Lebron. It’s because of on man named Ron Artest who decided he had enough of a fan who decided to be a dummy and dump a drink on him thinking Artest wouldn’t hit him back. That’s when the NBA starter to really change. Most of the greats played in the 90’s, but the 80s, with Dr J, and Larry Legend, those were the best years.
@@zaynes5094 nba is still entertaining. But the league is soft as cotton now. Barkley would rather watch hockey than the nba playoffs. He's not alone. I stand by my previous comments. When did I blame James?
Lots of people don't realize Rodman had a very respectable FG %. Career at .52. That was higher than Jordan and currently Labron. He didn't score much but when he did it more than not went in
Man, I miss basketball so much. I dont know what the NBA is now, but it ain't basketball. You breathe on a player and its a technical. Defense is a myth. Everyone's all hugging and crap on the floor - competition has become myth. If you can't beat a team, just join them. 4 years left on your contract, no big deal! Force a trade! The NBA sucks now.
