I can't wait to try this recipe Julian, thank you, it sounds lovely. How would you suggest making a smaller amount of base gravy, should I just reduce the quantities? and how long would it keep for in a fridge?

Can pop a couple of ladles into freezer bags and make sure you remove the air out before freezing flat.

Do you leave the base gravy ticking over on a low heat? I keep my base gravy in the freezer and when I need a portion I put it in a pan and gently heat it, but by the time I need it it’s quite thick! But I’m afraid to dilute it! Any tips? Great video, I may well try this tomorrow 👌🏻👍🏻

Just add a bit of hot water from the kettle when making the final dish. That way you add small amounts so you don't overdo it

From previous videos with Ade, the onions have fine diced peppers and methi (fenugreek) leaves in also. I made Ades mixed balti, and it’s a reall showstopper!
