We live in Axminster and Axminster power tools is still a very well respected family run business here in the town. From very humble beginnings to the powerhouse it is today, built on blood, sweat and tears! Great to see their tools helping Dan to realise his dream, it's awesome.

The roof is a thing of beauty. That carrier for the OSB is simple but great. I’m excited to see the tool unveiling. The tools are beautiful too. I worked in a cabinet shop and we had a giant belt sander to sand the whole frames with. Congrats on the tools. I am a woman but I absolutely love tools and hardware.

My husband uses a small Woodburner in his workshop, off cuts of wood add a bit of warmth. There really is something so special about this chateau, really can see its potential in every bit you do, really enjoy watching your journey and what a place for a view of those stars. Xx

Hey, just for the record, some women get excited to see such awesome machines. We like our shiny tools too! (don't go there, lads!) My fav is my cordless mini circular saw. (In fairness, I was taught metal work machining, so it could just be me.) Keep up the good work! Hopefully get that second roof and main roof done more quickly now.

Good job on the roof. It look's really good. I like how people can take a old house or building that I would look at and say their no way some one could rebuild that house. Then someone buys that house and rebuild it like you did. I love that. It nice to see how people rebuild thing that don't look like it could be rebuild. ❤

Get Axeminster representative to help organize and put the workshop together telling the watching public exactly what the tools are and how they are used.

With the workshop getting set up and the mill that has been discussed, this Chateau is almost self sufficient! Will the authorities let him join the electrical grid now, or are there more steps for that? How about “mains plumbing”? Or will he need to build a septic system. These are not glamorous topics, but need to be fit in somewhere. Nice to see the clean up of the various floors! Is this Phase II of the build? Exciting stuff!

I don't envy you when it comes to tax reporting time. These beautiful tools are going to make the tax office alarmed. Such a very kind, generous donation from Axminster. I love your work. Thanks for all these years of posts.

Getting security cameras in your workshop and a solid door and windows secure the tools that Axminister has so wonderfully supplied. Keep the boxes too they may come of use. Great tools too will make this chateau come together a lot faster. Did you have to do training for use of them I would imagine you know how to use them.

Fantastic to be helped with this huge project. I think it’s happening because of your gentle personality. You just seem to come across as just the nicest joe one could ever know. These tool guys will have seen this!

That is a lot of very pretty cast iron, I have no doubt you will enjoy using these tools. May I suggest that when you assemble and set up the tools, put a layer of paste wax on the cast iron surfaces. It will protect against rust and allows material to slide easily. Happy building 🔨

Wood flooring, wood doors and windows, beautifully designed and created paneling, a huge dining table with automatic leaves, wood kitchen cabinets... it going to be beautiful!

As Tim the Tolman TAYLOR on American television, some years ago would have said “Argh, Argh, Argh” if he had seen the major machines being extracted from the packing cases. The use of these key pieces of machinery will I trust simplify the repeating of repetitive work that you’re going to have to do in the other two main towers of the château.
