This is a method of cooking rice over an open flame. I am using a replica of German army mess kit. Cook with the top lid of the German army cooker replica. Japanese rice is best cooked over an open fire.
The wood stove I use is a Kelly Kettle hobo stove. The shape is similar to a rocket stove, so it is strong against wind. This type of wood stove uses small fuel such as twigs, so it is not recommended for those who do not like the preparation work.
Anyway, let the rice soak up the water. Bring to a boil over high heat. After boiling, reduce the heat and cook until the water is gone, and the cooking will be successful.

直火での飯盒炊爨、飯盒でお米を炊く方法です。ドイツ軍飯盒のレプリカを使用しています。お米1合なので上蓋で炊飯します。ドイツ軍飯盒タイプは、中蓋にあたるコンテナを使用したお米1合の水蒸気炊飯が有名ですが、日本のお米は直火炊きが一番美味しいですね。
慣れてしまえば、直火炊飯の飯盒炊爨は簡単ですが、直火なので煤があったり火加減の調整があったりと、面倒なのが嫌な方は避けたほうがいいと思います。無理してもいいことありません。はい。
使用している焚き火台は、ケリーケトル（Kelly kettle）のホーボーストーブです。形状がロケットストーブに似ているので割りと風に強いです。この手の焚き火台は、小枝等の小さい燃料を使うので、これまた面倒なのが嫌な方にはおすすめしません。小枝を折る分にはまだいいのですが、切ったりするので面倒くさいです。そもそも、フィールドに都合よく小枝なんてありません。薪もそうですが。
とにかく、お米にしっかりと吸水させたあと火にかけ、強火で沸騰させて、沸騰したら火を弱めて水分が無くなるまで炊く、と覚えておけば、まず、成功します。
