I have a 1978 Penn Yan boat that has a Chrysler 318 motor in it right now and it’s no good due to a cracked block that the place I took it to didn’t winterized it properly. I bought a 1980’s early Volvo 5.0 to put in my boat. My boat has the velvet drive transmission in it now. What do need to do to put this motor in my boat. I’m trying to do it myself due to wanting it in right away and not waiting 2 months before I can get it done by a boat place. I watch your videos when I can and thought I would ask you this question. That would be a lot of work. I couldn’t speak on this because I would have no idea what all would need changed. I know the motor mounts would definitely be different. Also, you’re probably a RH rotation and the Volvo would be a LH rotation engine. I’d stick with a Chrysler.
