A prank: Showing up dressed as the killer, saying "BOO!" then taking the mask off for a laugh. A crime: Showing up dressed as the killer, with a weapon in hand, then chasing people around like you're actually trying to kill them to cause a panic and potentially causing irreversible actions executed in the mindset of survival and self-defense.
"It's just high school." I don't think colleges will look too favorably upon a student who sent a false mass-email about a serial killer on campus, especially right after the actual murder of a fellow student. Owen's dad is the smartest person in this movie, he knew to keep his screen time to the minimum. I also guess there's no security in boarding schools, especially after a murder. Owen must think Bon Jovi is able to teleport if he's able to kill all his friends and dump the outfit in his office within minutes. Hey, that girl with the glasses is from Flight 29 Down!
So dodger's master plan was relying on bad writting to inact her needlessly complicated revenge scheme, i've seen scooby doo plots that were more grounded in reality then this crap
+ColeVecsion If anything I would say that "Scooby Doo" was a secret commentary on the state of the elderly in the time it was made. They were always about old man so and so going to great lengths to steal a 100 worth of old coins or something. They must have been really hard up for cash. :)
Randy Williams What's really funny is, even for the time it came out, I don't know if the amounts of money involved were really equal to all the trouble they went to get it. :) I remember "Robot Chicken" actually made a joke about that when they had them go up against Jason and it was all for a few thousand dollars worth of Spanish coins.
About the lights in the library: That's a real thing. Most classrooms have some form of light where if there's no movement for a while, the lights turn off, and turn back on when you enter the room. My dad used to work as a custodian in an elementary school, so I would hang out there during the summer while he did maintenance. My favorite room to hang out in was the library, because it had books (clearly) as well as pretty much all the Magic Schoolbus movies. Anyways, I'd often be curled up with a book in one of the reading areas, and the lights would go out. It'd be really annoying since I'd have to stop reading, get up, and wave my arms around. So yeah, that's a real thing in school libraries. A stupid thing, but real.
It's in offices too. When I stayed in late for work, the lights started to just one by one turn off, and because I was the last one to activate them when going out to the kitchen, they turned off in reverse order towards me... spooky!
It's not an alternate dimension, Phelous... Let's see, autumn everywhere, oranges, browns... He's in WONDERLAND! It's no wonder (Ha... ha...) that all that tomfoolery took place. After all... ANYTHING GOES IN WONDERLAND!
"It's like you're all playing checkers, and I'm playing chess" Oh, she's like the chessmaster then! How clever! Because she's like the evil mastermind! Clever foreshadowing... not. This movie is so dumb, and it's one of my favorite reviews of yours. Films like this want to be clever, but they rarely are because the concepts are beyond their ability to write properly. The worst part is Dodger suggesting the very thing that Owen later repeats to her and then her saying "You've already lost me." It's like they didn't read their own script for continuity errors. Thats when you know this movie is gonna suck. Nothing's for real!
The final plot twist and the entire premise reveal to this film is equally stupid as was the 1997 movie "The Game" (starring Michael Douglas), where the plot twist was that everything the protagonist had to go through was an elaborate BIRTHDAY PRANK for the man who's a banker. One simple deviation from the entire thorough, detailed plan could have easily caused serious harm to the participants of this scheme or to the main protagonist had he gone down the bad lane, for there were no proper protocols to keep him safe. And if not that, then the character would at least be in for years to come in therapy for having massive trauma and trust issues to his friends, family and acquaintances. Perhaps I'm an idiot who likes plots where things are simple and straightforward, but going for complicated schemes which are based on pure idiotic luck where common sense is thrown out of the window because "who needs them anyways?" are some of the worst movies I can think of.
I actually liked the game......at least the organization that gives rich people these "experiences," in the movie actually has the money and resources to railroad their participants down the right and safe course of action.......
@@megatron6713 That's true. Also if I recall, wasn't *'The Game'* ultimately set up by that guy's brother all along? like he was working alongside the business he had hired to ensure things went according to plan or something along those lines(?) . I didn't like the film for other reasons (Pacing) but the premise wasn't as unreasonable as the first guy seems to think.
***** Didn't even know that one existed. Ackles has a movie called "Devour" I think that's a pretty awful horror movie. He's actually kind of Sam-like in that one which might be why they had him audition for Sam originally.
@@TheWilderCat When Blip got bought up and then immediately shut down (probably by Google), forcing every reviewer to upload their reviews on youtube... and often, change the audio or recut it because of the stupid reporting algorithms.
Phelous: Wait was the mask supposed to be orange Officer Phelous: Black is the new orange (takes off sunglasses that shows another pair of sunglasses) which is the new black
We have a similar asinine lighting system in our library stacks to save energy. They turn on by motion and then turn off by a timer. It's just meant to be on long enough for those trying to find a book. but the desks and study areas are typically in another open part of the library.
+Wrath's Turntable Time Machine Rocksmash Attack (AKA The Mysterious Reuploader, Ace-edo Mask!) Dodger is the name she goes by (her real name is Brooke, iirc), and PressHeartToContinue is just her channel name.
It's easier to track someone irl with a name then a face. Also just an unrelated side note, Jacksepticeyes real name is Sean not Jack. Just another example I thought of.
To be fair, nothing i did in highschool applied to my life afterwards except for in therapy. The terrible mental anguish of highschool was the only lasting takeaway from it.
Sad fact: the director of this movie is still getting work. Last I heard, he's writing the script for a potential He-Man movie, one that might actually be automatically worse than the (admittedly not at all bad, but understandable as to why people hate it) Kevin Smith sequel series
No surprise that this would follow "The Ruins". You could copy and paste the description for that one into this one. Then again, you could do that for most of the movies you feature.
I've been waiting for the satisfaction of that music playing during the 'shot through the heart' scene since I first saw the movie. I am a complete person.
For the movie Cry Wolf, the killer Should look like a hairy yet muscular man. He has rabies, he has nails like claws, ripped jeans. Sharp canines, has a wolf fur jacket with the hood being a wolf head. His sleeves has knives on them to look like claws. Bearded man with a hair like a werewolf.
Actually my school library does have a system like that. I appreciate the attempt at Eco-friendly, but it does get annoying when you have to jump up every 15mins to turn the lights back on
Damn it, I love Jared Padalecki but he has the worst luck playing as characters in bad horror movies. He is so remembered more in the TV shows he does especially Supernautral.
Ohhhhhhhhhhhh. I get it now. The movie Smiley was a sequel to this. Either that or the writers of Smiley were dumb enough to think that this piece of insanity was high quality enough to imitate.
1. make everyone likable 2. dont attach your own e-mail and have the murder be a smart hacker that caught you 3. make them dumb college students that got drunk when they did it 4. make a student hold the fact a weapon was in his desk over your main lead and only have one person there 5. have no one try to fake murder people at partys or at all 6. have no one pull pranks and have real murders going on but replace them with look alikes (probably via makeup) that are master actors so the main is never believed making them think he just 'crys wolf' bodys are also dumped before found 7. their acting teacher (who pulled in the other actors) is the murderer and leader of the group who main kills along with the rest of the people and then gets arrested for all of the murders
rachael beth Exactly but still be original a jerk that is a jock in college or high school is so overused that it's a utterly unoriginal cliche. It be kickass and new to have a nerd or dork character is the jerkass.
+MLP Aqua-Marine UK Smiley was playing checkers while Cry_Wolf was playing chess. PS: Personally I found Smiley a lot more infuriating and annoying. I could at least finish this review.
+Brandon Roberts At least this movie previously established the elements of pranks. Smiley's ending is a pathetic bandit that downright suckerpunches you to the face and balls...and steals your $20.
If high school isn't for real, then those 5 years of my life in high school apparently NEVER HAPPEND. I think Jovi was in Ally Mcbeal....but due to only marathoning that show ONCE a few years ago my memory isn't perfect. at least according to this movie😆 these characters being high students is the only good joke of the movie! First seen 2.2.22
"Phelous Dork" has potential to be a good song, but it still needs A LOT of work. Maybe you can get Sad Panda to work on the instrumentals so it matches the singer better?
My version of the Wolf: A wild man with a wolf pelt with a wolf mask with a wolf fur coat with metal claws that would claw people and devour his prey. Hey, why not make him more wolf-like.
Voting against your girlfriend in a party game? Voting against your girlfriend in a party game?! Voting against your girlfriend in a party game! VOTING AGAINST YOUR GIRLFRIEND IN A PARTY GAME!!!!! 🤬😡🤬😡🤬😡🤬That's it! That is a line not even Wabuu would cross.
