Your views on motherhood align with mine so much. I ended up going back to work a couple of days a week to “fill my cup” so to speak. The adult interactions and also the small accomplishments l have at work really make a huge difference to me (not saying it’s for everyone) if the rest of the week goes to 💩! On the topic of daycare a couple of days a week - I have my daughter in daycare while l am working, however l know of a couple of mums who are SAHM and when baby number 2 came along they decided to put their toddler into daycare around two days a week. They said this helped their toddler with social interactions, she felt their toddlers cup was being filled AND she was able to have that one-on-one time with her newborn that she otherwise probably wouldn’t have been able to have. Nowhere near as much 1-on-1 time as baby number 1 BUT still a couple of days a week where she was able to really connect with and soak in the newborn 😊 just wanted to share that as another perspective on daycare 😊

We didn't find out the sex the first time and it was beautiful. We found out this time because my sister was very ill and we wanted her to know. I have no regrets in doing so because she passed away weeks later but I have to say, having experienced both paths, finding out the day of birth is by far the most magical. A truly wonderful surprise to what is already such an amazing expirence

Use your bugaboo stardust for bassinet/second crib I bought one after you mentioned it in a vlog love it way better then even a normal bassinet and my daughter has been in it since 3 months now 13 months and still sleeping in it

My partner and I are planning to start trying for baby number 2 in the next three or so months. Our kids will also be room sharing, and I'd definitely love to hear how it goes for you. Re; giving birth in Canada. I missed not having my mom with me for my son's birth (October 2020), but actually loved not having visitors since I had a lot of tests being done (slight concerns/complications), and was in and out of my room. I also spent the majority of the time just in the hospital gown with my boobs hanging out, so loved not having to worry about people just popping in (plus I could nap without worrying someone was going to show up). I'm hopeful I'll be able to have both my mom and my partner with me next time, but I still won't be wanting visitors aside from them afterwards, so that I can just nap and relax with the new baby and my partner (my in laws will likely be watching our son). I think it would be nice to have someone bring my son along afterwards, but at the same time I feel like having him meet the baby at home would be such a special moment that we can share with my in laws and my mom as well (the hospital rooms at my hospital are very small and it would be uncomfortable to have that many people there at once).

What books/materials did you use for gentle sleep training? I’m very interested in trying that the second time around. My first is not the best sleeper and I hope to not make the same mistakes with baby number 2. Thanks!

Boy names are so hard!! I do agree that you need to plan how siblings names sound together. I have 3 sisters and all our names start with K. It’s kinda cool but not great. My dad struggles with names a little bit. But he did this to himself.

I have a very opposite situation! I've been so mentally ready to get pregnant with my second, my daughter is 18 months, but my life is not ready for that 🙃 we have a roudy 1 yr old big dog, and I have been severely underweight since giving birth and can't seem to get healthy. It's so crazy how we are all in such different phases of life, but yet I can relate to you sooo much!

Look for day cares that offer half days (three hours long).

If you can put a crib in the bedroom instead of a bassinet, I would do that! Especially if the prices are similar!

Hello! I’ve been searching for your podcast on several platforms for a while now, and I haven’t had success finding it. Where can I find it? Thanks.
