I just ordered one! I was sceptical about buying one since i use a miller all the time. I seen alot of reviews on how good it is so i bought me one. Can wait to try it
*I use 110v Dekopro 160A twice a week. Love it but nothing over 1/4" thick metal and E6013 is sweet spot rodwise. No aluminum, rusty metal, even 1/4 7018 rod is largely beyond it's capabilities, but great two minute setup welder but on 110v I can largely only get E6013 to burn right, I use Forney.*
I just bought one. It's a good little machine for 3/32nd rods. Like any stick welder it can only weld as good as you can. For a complete novice I'd point to the titanium flux 125 over at harbor freight.
I have one , it's a beast . Remember , it's not the machine it's the welder who makes the difference. Just buy good rodes , adjust the amps, and voila !!
I just got mine last week, having a hard time with my rods sticking, all I use is 3/32 6013, 6011. I’m using 95amps on the 6013, seems to run ok, but I feel like I need to tweek it a little, any advice
@@HillbillyOffroading wish I could show you the picture, if you go on the Dekopro features it shows it right there, “positive terminal connect to ground” negative terminal connect to electro holder” ??
I wouldn't use Harbor Freight 7018. Especially if the package was opened already. Their packaging already sucks, and leaves the electrodes exposed to the air, allowing them to become contaminated with atmospheric moisture. This makes them unsuitable for any welding that you might trust with your life or safety. At best, you might be able to re-bake them, but it's unlikely that this would restore them to full ratings.
That welder can run up to 1" thick steel with the same root stringer and cap welding process that pipe liners use if your planning on doing industrial welding with it it would work but remember you need to be confident in your ability as to the work your doing with the machine. The 1" will have to be ground down at a 90° angle for the bast result and your root pass should be done at around 80-90amps your stringers at 100 and your cap at 90-95 depending on your welder. And electrode size 1/8 should run well enough at those settings.
