Personally I have never seen nor heard of a Skyactiv failing in such a spectacular manner as this ZF. There is a lot of aluminum inside the ZF that we see clutch failures related to. All the important load bearing parts inside the Sky are steel. If you were to compare size of pinions and planets to the ZF the Skys are bigger (I do have some direct comparisons), granted this is a lower end power rated ZF I would place the internals to the Sky closer to the size of an 8HP70
