#enginefan #switch #overheating On this video I will show how I installed a manual fan switch in my truck. In the extreme heat I like to turn it on any my discretion.
Just did this install by watching this video using the same switch from fleet pride total cost $65.00 and that's because quarter inch air line was sold to me in bulk for about $15.00 if not it would've been cheaper.🤟
Mine was staying on. A/C over charged. I added some to tue system and found out later it was a chip bag blocking the return. Just having the single little gauge I didn’t know the accuracy plus head pressure so I over charged it. Just let some out until the suction line was cold and bam!! Air con working and fan is off. Awesome video thank you!
On a modern International (if you have access to the dealer software) all you have to do is order a switch, plug the switch into any blank slot where the other switches go, and change a parameter in the body control software. All done!
Hey man thanks for the help with the repair videos I had a question about your orange Columbia that’s a glider are you able to run paper logs on that since it has the 12.7 pre emission in it or how does that work? Thanks if you could make a video on gliders that would be cool thanks again for your help

I have a 2004 FL M2 106 & fan spins freely, even at 210f, does the '04 FL supply 12v to solenoid to turnON fan or turn OFF fan ? Could I mount simply dash switch to control 12v to solenoid instead of messing with air lines ?
@@DIYSEMI yea I agree I saw the video and did most of it but still stuck on on Replace all sensors, solenoid,I haven’t Done the A/C high pressure measurements yet Someone said it can be ECM Igor a 12.7 Detroit
There is a place in Glasgow KY that sells new ones. I personally don't recommend fitgerald. There is a dealer in the Midwest called Harrison....they are good
Excuse my stupid question. So this installation means that you no longer will depend on the solenoid to kick in when needed and there for you will need to watch it all time, correct
No sir...it will still be automatic...however you will be able to turn it on anytime you want rather than waiting for the truck to do it. Some trucks come with this switch factory installed. We are just adding it to a truck that doesn't have it.
@@DIYSEMI thanks for reply recently had fan going non stop replaced solenoid,ac switches, then mechanic told me it was the ecm sent it to ecm repair they said nouthing was wrong with it plugged it back in everything worked correctly a week long ordeal .guessing I had a bad connection on the ecm only thing I can figure.
It will function exactly like it did before with the switch off. When you flip the switch it locks it on....its not an on/off switch....it's an on/auto switch.
