Afraid to say that's nardole, you can literally see his mouth move as he says it and he does the exact same thing in 'Oxygen' , but it would be a nice thought!

That wasn't a deleted scene, that was just Tennant screwing around knowing that they just needed footage of him talking to speed up

@@hexogramd8430 no, the specific scene we're talking about where tennant is wearing a mask and says "are you my mummy" was improvised by tennant when he forgot his line. It wasnt in the script.

@@jacobhogan3208 To be fair, filming for the special is probably still 2.5 years away, I imagine Capaldi would be willing to come back by then. I'm more curious if Jodie Whittaker (Assuming she'd have left not long prior) or Jo Martin will be involved.

@@Deathlygunn For all we know Jodie could be the current Doctor during the 60th. It really depends. I just hope it isn't a five doctors situation where it just turns into 10, 11, and 13. Which could very well be possible.

Don't want to be a pessimist but the S12 advert is directly next to this video for me. Maybe he didn't recognise who she was until the episode but I highly doubt he didn't know that the Doctor would become a woman.

@@benjiboodleoo He's been using Daily Motion based on the video player that comes up when he pauses sometimes, so he wouldn't see that. But even so, places like Amazon show the thumbnail for the season you're currently watching.

the animated version exists and its quite good, it also reconstructs the regeneration quite faithfully, but I am happy that precious first regeneration is still here

No offence to Segun, who is fantastic in his own right, but I feel like losing Murray was the biggest change that negatively affected the show. It's not Segun's fault because he's presumably been asked to do it like that but the score just doesn't feel the same show any more.

I have no friends but I hear people talk about 12.....he was a great fucking doctor. One of the best

@@zachariousmccool5768 yep he was an awesome Dr. The only problem I have with the new Dr is the sex change thing. But I actually thought her performance was better than people say.. And I thought her finale was ambitious and quite good. But rather than change the Doctors sex I think they should have just introduced her as a time lady and Not the actual doctor. It would have stopped all the division.

Or did you miss the entire point of everything who has said (its ok to be yourself) It's IN UNIVERSe that timelords change sexes because of our human brains. Is Jodie my favorite doctor?? Hell no!!....Is she a bad Doctor again Hell no. It was the stories that made people have such issue with it they just weren't as good as previous lines but hey I guess that means a man in the role would of made the stories somehow better!!????

Totally agree. The others had maybe one good X-mas episode apiece. Capaldi had four great ones.

@@theabomination5894 It was Smith's best one. The Snowman was pretty good. Time of the Doctor SUCKS except the regeneration.

@@theabomination5894 That one got the edge for me, too. Smith was the only one, that fit the fairytale vibe of the episode, they really nailed the re-interpretation of the three ghosts, Dumbledore was amazing, and Abigail's Song is up there with my favorite music pieces of the show. We had a lot of episodes happening on Christmas, but ACC excels at getting you in the mood for the holidays :)

And s11 and 12 in general, I'm very excited for some episodes!

@Gues Who im certainly not sticking around, maybe for the first ep or 2, but it never changes its just bad all the way, then of course falls of a cliff in that final episode

Can't wait for him to react to series 11 there are some great episodes coming up and then it gets even better in series 12.

I REALLY do not like season 11 and 12

He was definitely not underrated. In fact I hardly saw any hate towards capaldi during his run. Most people when a doctor regenerates hate that doctor until the end.

He was very much THEE doctor, he fit the doctor role so well, instantly you could see he was the doctor in tone and the calibre of actor to both classic and modern who... But his issues were in story, they just didn't work out script wise (with a few exceptions) and it impacts his portrayal in long term.. but cos he is such a good actor he pushed alot of bad scripts along and made what he could work.. however contrast this with current who, we are seeing a perfect storm of bad everything, Jodie doesn't fit the role, very mis casted, no real depth, very agenda driven and eye rolling, she can't carry the bad stories like capaldi, and the series is suffering as a result.. plus the really bad direction it is going in.. I miss the days of season 4/season 5.. brilliant / creative and relevant..

I like Jodie and the crew, but I really don't like the writing of the latest seasons, and I wish they had earned the moniker of family first like the ponds and 11

I liked Jodie as the doctor but the writing is some desperate hellspawn.

You could have the best actor/actress in the world and Chibnall will still manage to make them look terrible.

Nick Barnes chibnall is all grand ideas, incredibly bad execution and jodies seasons deserve a rewrite from someone better.

I don't think the show will make it to an anniversary with the way she screwed it up there is nowhere to go. Only hope is a retcon and Capaldi regenerates again with a new show runner.

I like how there's always supplemental material to cover up the bad writing of the show, kinda like in Star Wars.

metalmugen I wouldn’t call it supplemental it is literal the episode in a novel format, like Rose or Day of The Doctor. The only difference is you get to see what goes on in the characters head more, because that is the point of books, character > plot, I wouldn’t call it bad writing, then again I never minded the comments because honestly without watching much old who it’s kinda what most shows show you when there set in the 1960’s (I’m not sure when the first Doctor was on air), especially to do with time travel. Plus build just going, “yeah, me too.” Was too good with their faces
