This week I'll be showing you how to make a delicious homemade Apple Crumble (aka Apple Crisp). Apple season has begun so it is time to start baking some of those classic apple desserts that we all love and Apple Crumble has to be one of my favourite fall desserts. It is a super easy recipe, perfect for a beginner baker. Packed with tart apples, sweet cinnamon and topped with a buttery crumble, this dessert is going to quickly become a family favourite.
*This recipe can be made into a vegan dessert by replacing the butter with melted coconut oil or dairy-free butter. This is a nut-free dessert but one can easily add nuts if desired.

Apple Filling:
2 pounds (1 kg) of apples
2 tbsp of all_purpose flour
1/2 cup of granulated sugar
1/2 tsp of cinnamon
2 tbsp of lemon juice
Crumble:
1 cup of old fashioned rolled oats
1 cup of brown sugar
1/2 cup of all-purpose flour (or almond flour)
1 tsp of cinnamon
1 tsp of baking powder
1 tsp of kosher salt
1/2 cup (1 stick) of unsalted butter, melted (*or coconut oil)
1/2 cup of chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
