@@SwissMarksman they weren´t there at night. The photos at night are definitely not made by the girls. They were seen at about 3 o´clock in the afternoon by a guy who owns a local store there exhausted and heading towards Boquete. So either they started the hike on the Pianista much earlier or they didn´t even start it at all and the photos are all fake. Furthermore they were seen taking another trail before, but cancelling it after only 30 minutes. And it was said that Lisanne was ill (cold). What you don´t see at any Pianista photo. Whatever happend there. They definitely did not just get lost at the Pianista.

Thanks for making these videos it is so interesting to see what the entire trail is like. I've read the info on the website about the expedition but seeing a video of the trail is incredible. It really does make me wonder what was making them push on so far past the Mirador.
@polarvortex3294
@polarvortex3294 5 месяцев назад
If they thought the trail did a grand loop (as many nature trails do), then they may have pushed on, thinking that they would see some new scenery that they wouldn't see if they boringly doubled back, and also that once the trail fully looped they'd be getting closer to home with every step. Indeed this may have even caused them to rush a bit. There's also the theory they were looking for a waterfall somewhere on the other side of the mountain. May have taken quite a while for them to realize that they'd made a big mistake. Fact is, I myself, after reading and watching quite a bit about this story don't know if the waterfall exists or not! By the time they'd wised up, realizing that they couldn't make it back even to the Mirador before night overtook them, they may have pushed even further on while the light lasted, hoping to find a house or some civilization that would allow them to avoid spending the night out in the wilderness -- which would be understandable, I guess. I mean, just like in a plane crash or many other disasters, mistake often follows mistake, and stress usually makes things worse...

@SYSCOM821 4 месяца назад
@@polarvortex3294 Yes, as you say. The enthusiasm (which you can see from the photos) sent them into a kind of euphoria. In the euphoria, they switched off their minds and went very deep into the jungle trails. Possibly up to three and a half hours before the injury occurred. It was impossible to return with the injury. They had hiking trails from Western Europe in mind, which have a starting point and an end point. Possibly with markings.

14:00 another person is on the trail. this is very likely the scenario with the 2 girls. First of all, they were wearing light clothes and certainly didn't intend to go far. So it was impossible they simply veered off course to explore the forest, as some people suggest. Either they were followed or they encountered people with bad intentions. They were then taken to a remote area, but managed to hide their phones - that's why they still managed to try to call emergency a few times, but not too many times.

Who were those people near the river where the last photo Kris was taken.(Prada?) Your video's shows there are a lot of pleaces after the mirador that you can fall down. But it also looks like a clear path on some occasions. The last part before the mirador looks quit simular like the part after the mirador. Therefore I think it's quite logical those girls walked on...and on. Great video's and thanks you so much for sharing. Do you have more video's come up? When and where can I find Your pictures?

Thanks! Yes, more videos to come of the trail at least. Actually, I would like to publish a complete walkthrough to the first monkey-bridge so there might be like 8 parts to that serie of videos. However, I have some videos that seems to miss in the files. So I might have 9 minutes, or more, of videos missing but I will see if that's the case when I reach that point during the editing. For the pictures, I plan to use some for an article in the future. Yes, it looks like the path just before the Mirador but I would say that this path is much steeper. The place is interesting, so I'm not surprised people would go there. About falling, I kind of disagree. I mean for the slopes next to the trail. You could slip, but you won't go very far and you can climb with not much issue. I climbed a worse slope in that area and it was fine (of course I wasn't injured but the girls were together, so if one of them was injured, the other one could help her).

Its just amazing how detailed you are documenting all of this. It literally has forensic quality i would say. In my opinion the location of foto 508 would be very important. Because i am sure: that not long after 508 the girls went lost. The reason why i think that: on their whole trip on 1th April, the biggest timegap between 2 fotos was around 40 minutes. As far i know Image 508 was taken 1:54pm. That means for me, at least around 2:30 pm they should have make another foto of interest. But they didnt. There is two explainations for that in my opinion 1) they felt lost already at 2:30 pm , and therefore they didnt found any reason to make fotos anymore ... 2) at 2:30 pm they both tried to head back again, and didnt noticed that they were lost until around 4:40 pm when they made their first emergency call. Regardless whats the case - one thing is for sure: at least around 2:30 pm the sightseeing-trip was over, and they didnt found any reason to make fotos. Now, if we assume that the image 508 was taken at the "last known location" , that location is only around 30-40 minutes away from the paddocks (which are definetely worth to fotograf, comparing what other unimportant fotos they made that day) . The fact that they didnt made fotos from the paddock means: that they were on a different trail. Most people think that the location of 508 is known ... but i dont think so. The one thing which is sure is: the river. But i am sure, they crossed that river on a different spot. Whenever i saw video footage about the 508 location, not one single stone resembles the stones of 508. Now i know, that the common saying is : that in the rain season, the riverbed changes, and also stones getting washed away, etc... Sure i can imagine that for smaller stones, but few of those stones are 200 kilograms and more and are quiet deep in that soil. Sorry, but no - that heavy stones i dont believe water can wash away that easy. At least few stones should stay in place .. but none of those stones in the video footages (yours included) resembling the 508 image stones. Your video footage is very important nevertheless! Because ruling out spots of image 508 is also very important. Also if we can accept that image 508 is already taken more downstream, or upstream that river , we also would better understand, why it could have been much harder to find the trail back to El Mirador! To find the exact location of image 508 is key, in my opinion. I even think, from all the information we have meanwhile, its could be possible to find the area where the nightshots were taken. Because we know were Kris Jeans was found. Therefore the spot were Kris died only can be more upstream. And because the nightshots are indicating, that the girls didnt want, or cant move anymore (you only make a SOS-sign out of paper if you are not going to leave that place anymore), we can safely say: that the spot were the nightshot was is very likely upstream the spot were Kris Jeans was found. My gutfeeling is saying, the 508 image is already a bit more downhill from the spot where you was in this video. And between that point , downhill, and Kris Jeans, there have to be the spot of the nightshots somewere. Fortunately the stones of the nightshots are also quiet big , and we know their shape. Its hard, but not impossible to spot them, i think. Maybe we find the spot in 10 years, or so. But its possible to find. And i think there are still remains of Lisanne and Kris there (Metal earrings for instance doesnt get washed away by water). So there is a chance that even after all these years, with a metal detector some remains could be found of that incident. Sure, the probability is almost zero.. but its not impossible. Your video footages are extremely important, in my opinion. And you deserve much more subscribers! Unlike other people, who are relying on inventing new informations by concluding new information out of old information, you are generating new information with real efford - camera footage, drone footage etc.. Those are very small informations, and mostly they seem to prove: that they werent there... but its still important informations , because they are real informations, not made up things. I salute you for your efford!

Look photo attentively! It is not SOS-sign. Возможно, буква "S" стоит в последнем положении (last position) - [anything letter]-S. 1) K-[anything]-S; 2) R-[anything]-S; 3) X-[anything]-S. Буква между буквами (letter between letters) , которую закрывает лямка (strap), возможно (probably) "I" letter. Тогда (then) получается: 1) K-I-S; 2) R-I-S; 3) X-I-S. Буква (letter) "K", судя по всему была изготовлена из двух красных пакетов (two red packets) и ветки (a branch).

The sad thing is: there´s no 911 in Panama. The number was adopted for ambulance services to make believe when they were trying to sell the idea as something bigger. Basically lying. It is not by any means a real 911 system with the structure to provide Fire/Police, caller ID, etc.. To do that, it would require total restructuring of the phone company and street nomenclature, which at the time nobody cares. It´s only a regular land line. So they died dialing a fake number

Did you come across any man made looking cave like the picture that one of the girls is standing in front of leaned over(kris) ? I think that that’s the most erie picture for me and it seems things stop shortly after that. I also wonder if it was on the trail or off the trail because to me for something to be man made like a hang out spot wouldn’t be on the trail itself. Thanks for the videos, it gives a perspective on what their hike looked like.

Thank you very much for this video! Here I look at the stream and there is a strong feeling that this is not the right crossing. I understand that many years have passed, but the main terrain cannot change like that. The girls in the photo have a large height difference, water pours from a hill. And here the stream just turns sharply from left to right. It seems to me that Chris and Lisanne were not on the main path. With gratitude from Russia.

It's impossible to get lost on this pianist's trail, as most of the way is through a trench. At relatively short intervals, we always see other people using the trail, there are houses nearby, some places are pasture for cattle, where certainly the owners always go to pick up or leave their animals. If the girls had continued beyond photo locations 507 and 508, they would have continued taking pictures, and if they had gone back, they would have taken pictures as well. The fact that they didn't do this within 6 days of the disappearance, to me, is proof that the camera and cell phones were not under the control of the girls. Note: It is very likely that the place for the night photos is on the Quetzal Trail and not on the pianist's trail! Or they were made on some path that connects the Pianist Trail with the Quetzal Trail.
@march1326
@march1326 2 года назад
IF … the girls were on the trail, they got as far as the stream and then turned back. The photos as presented, are out of order. You can see that one carries the backpack up, while the other carries it on the way back. The same for their hair. It was down, on both girls on the way up. On the way down, the were hot, and their hair was pulled up to stay cool. The photos were heavily photoshopped. Juan proved that in his videos. The missing, tell tale photo was deleted. Probably showed that they had returned, or, my even have shown the perpetrators. This was, no doubt, a horrific crime! I pray for these girls every day. No one should have ever had to go through something so sinister! Most of the perpetrators are dead! Most! Vigilante justice?

@@march1326 I still haven't watched the video you talk about which is proof that the order of the photos has been changed. The perception I have is that the photos are in the correct order, but the moment of each photo (time) may have been tampered with. I also believe that photo 509 may have been deleted by the police themselves, as such a photo must deconstruct the idea of an accident. Discover something interesting in the night shots, but I'll argue that with Scarlet soon.

Thanks for posting the video Romain. So you passed two people already on the the trail? Hard to imagine Kris and Lisanne not passing anyone that day they disappeared especially it being a week day and good weather. The locals have work to do I think in Boquete, and use this trail often. So it makes me think they would have spotted the women or run into them at the very least as you do. I also noted that there seems quite a bit of overgrowth, the path looks more worn down and a lot of the rocks have been moved. I'm not surprised given how long it's been so I expect it to be very different. Kris and Lisanne had good weather and maybe their path was not as obstructed. At 38:28 I find it very difficult to imagine that if Kris and Lisanne did come to this point then they would not have taken a photo of this vista point. They had nice sunny weather too. They didn't make the best of photos, but Lisanne seemed keen on documenting her views. So I expected them to take a few more, like you may be doing not just for your research but you find something of interest here and there. Overall, this is the same path Kris and Lisanne took and made it to the first river without any problem. Not that difficult then or scary as everyone who hasn't gone there and hiked keeps telling me. 😉 Looking forward to your next segment of the trail. Good work Romain!

Thank you! Actually, that day I met 4 more people (but it was a family) and I heard something like a chainsaw. The locals don't live there, they work in their much further away or they come from Alto Romero to buy their food in Boquete (it's cheaper than in Chiriqui Grande). For 38:28, I totally agree. However, I'm not sure it was like that in 2014. I have been told it was cut a long time ago, but they couldn't tell me when. When I see a video of river 3 in 2014, it appears to me it might have been covered of vegetation. Locals clear some areas for the cattle.

I think that Lisanne broke her leg, twisting it on those uncomfortable stones, tried to walk on her own for a while, but her leg hurt more and more. They called the rescue service. All that was left was to go on our own. They knew that climbing the mirador was a very difficult path for a broken leg. We saw houses on the map and decided to continue our way down to the people for help. Perhaps, indeed, they spent the night in that abandoned hut.
@powerpixie2965
@powerpixie2965 2 года назад
@@user-xu9yb7op8y That's possible that Lisanne hurt her leg, and maybe they spent the night somewhere, but their phone logs do not indicate this sort of urgency of two inexperienced young women. And where exactly did Lisanne break her leg? And how far can one even walk with a broken leg? On this trail? I don't think so. It's also very easy to say they just spent the night somewhere, when everyone keeps saying how scary the "jungle" is during the day, so imagine what it would be like at night for these two young women?! I also think if Lisanne broke leg and they stayed overnight, they would not be too far from the trail. Kris would have been able to go for help back on the trail they came from, and we already seen Romain pass people by, just like many others like Victor Hugo and Kris's parents pass people and cattle. Someone would spot them or at least Kris if she went to get help.
