"Manokan" means chicken place. It usually refers to chicken farm but since there's grille at the end, then it's a restaurant instead. She's right though nothing beats non GMO meats lol
Don't worry Chrissy, there's a lot of Filipino stores in Southern California and our rice here is really good. We have a lot of Filipino restaurants. Watching from Northridge California.

Don't worry about coming to the US Chrissy. You can find rice and most foods you're used to in the US. Our rice in Hawaii is not as hard as the rice in the Philippines. There are always Asian markets. If you ever come to Hawaii, especially Oahu, you will not miss the Philippines at all. Every Grocery store has an Asian section and there are tons of Filipino restaurants. There are a lot of Filipino clubs too. Hawaii has a lot of Filipino people here. The foods are all the same as what you have in the Philippines. People have boodle fights when they have parties too. No matter where in the US or even in the world you are, there are always Filipino people and Filipino clubs. You will be fine.
