It’s crazy that you’ve been on this job for one day and it looks considerably better , all the cuts are pulled so much sharper and everything just looks more uniform. Chris , I know the bad weather hits you in the wallet but maybe you can take a day or two off and share a order of tater rounds with Winston?
That is a pretty good sized house, I would bet when the pond is done and full and finished off ( slicked up) that the house/ pond combination is going to make that an awesome piece of property. I think this one would worth a revisit in a year or so. Thanks for the ride along sir.
Chris I’m praying for all y’all to be safe during the hurricane🙏🙏🙏 Nice pond project with a beautiful home to overlook it when it’s perfectly completed by the dream team!!
Go figure that you and John have to fix some else’s mess . But the owner has the right crew on the job now . When y’all are it will be a master piece of course .
You are so much like my dad was, you can take a blank canvas and turn it in to a work of art. My dad was a artist 🎨 he painted landscapes and portraits. Keep up the great work that you are doing.
Chris it doesn't take you long to clean the area and make it look like a pond. Spruce up the wooded areas and prepare the pond for a hurricane. And it looks really nice. Way to go. Praying for just some rain no hurricane.
That's gonna be a really nice pond for them to enjoy and fish once it's done a filled. The owner can walk out his backdoor go over and catch his dinner any old time he wants and swim with his kids other times. We've been getting his with feeder bands fron Ian since yesterday. Lots of wind, rain here just above the Florida Keys and some tornados up in Broward county. We'll make sure the Bealy Good pond gets lots of water to fill it up. Thanks Chris for the afternoon entertainment and good luck with the hurricane.
Such a beautiful pond you are making Chris!! It's just amazing watching you move such massive amounts of dirt and plucking trees from the ground like weeds!! Stay safe and hopefully get some much deserved rest!
Already you & John have made a big difference to this site. That’s a lovely home that has been built & a pond will make it even better😊 Take care & cheers 🐨🦘🥰
These projects always seem to be difficult to work. You really never what the other contractor did or thought. Time to fill up the ponds you did this year!! Stay safe.
Chris, I have lived on the Southeast Coast in the paths of hurricanes my whole life. As such, I have come to understand that like all of nature, Hurricanes do both good and bad, depending on the circumstances. (i.e.) The Ian Hurricane has devastated the center of Florida from the Gulf Coast to the Atlantic Ocean, which is the bad of nature. But, for others, the rain from Ian which will be a Tropical Storm as it travels near your neck of the woods, will be a blessing for people like you and Beasly. You will get the needed rain to wet the forest so that you can burn the piles of debris and your Home Farm and those at the Horse Farm while Beasly will get the water he needs to fill his huge 5-acre pond. That is the Good of the storm. But you will also get the Bad as well, on projects that you are currently working on becoming a muddy mess which either prevents you from working or will make your life miserable while you try to work. Just a thought from a fan of many years.
Bealygood does a post or short most everything day. Well drilling started today. The conduit for the island is in and Goeff has started to plant trees. It's worth following their channel as well.
One day , perhaps in the winter when it is too wet to move dirt, it would be nice to see all the ponds you created in the last year or so in their finished state and full of water. Perhaps if you have recordings of the sites before work started it would be very interesting to see ' before and after'. Also to hear from you about soil/dirt qualities you require to make pond or lakes containment reasonably water tight and the grading of materials/dirt for berms, banks and pond/reservoir floors. Shortage of clay in some parts of the UK obliges farmers to use butyl sheeting to line artificial irrigation lakes in an area which may not have more that 12 ins of rain annually yet expects good yields from potatoes, sugar beet and some vegetables. Grain/cereal crops are seldom irrigated. Your drone sequences are marvellous for orientation of the larger sites.
Watching this while waiting for my power to go out tonight as Ian moves very slowly across Florida. Glad you are so busy, but pretty sure we could put you to work down here next week and for a long time! However, sounds like the storm is going to just come to you, make a mess and give you a lot of work without leaving home! Stay safe, and I'll just enjoy watching you work!
@@victorhorace8467 Thank you. It was a devastating storm, I just got lucky. Lots of people need help, please keep them in your prayers and start praying for those still in the path of Ian. He's a nasty one and he will have a chance to refuel before he hits land again.
It’s the tiny fine as hair roots that supply water and nutrients to the tree. These are mostly close to the surface. Smother them and the tree dies. The big deep roots are to anchor and support it.
Great video. All the rain is going to be filling up all kinds of ponds and stuff , goodness 😳 . Was bound to happen sooner or later. Enjoyed watching 😎 👍.
You are right, what a mess. Total confidence that with ur expertise, u will have it designed and perfectly functional. Luv the house and landscape to come. Loved the video. Praying for all in way of the hurricane. May God bless u and keep u safe!!!
Piling up Dirt around the Trees that killed them - take them down ! Florida just got Pummeled with that Hurricane ! Starting to Fix someones Abandoned Project - well - You are the Man ! Hey - some Progress already - Major Work after the Hurricane ! Many Cheers from us in Australia !!!!
The difference between a master craftsman and journeyman can be seen without saying a word. I was embarrassed for your client at the unsophisticated mess left there before you showed up. Fine work sir. Be safe when that awful storm rears it’s head.
That home owner has to be shaking his head going why did we wait so long. One day and these guys cleaned up a mess and they will have it done in no time. Can you imagine the mud holes and mosquitoes they have put up with for how long now??? Great day guys.
I'm near Daytona Beach, Florida. They are saying that I could get a foot of rain in the next 24 hours. That would fill all the ponds you built this year!
This is a classic reason for looking for a contractor know what their history of doing jobs before accepting a bid. It is more than the least expensive bid to get a successful completion on the task at hand. Chris is an excellent example of getting a contractor who knows how to be successful.
Another mess by a previous contractor. Word of advise… if you don’t know what your doing then get someone that does to help you or don’t do it at all. Costing the customers more money because of your lack of knowledge/skill guarantees your customer basis will diminish. Wonder if this same person built the minnow pond
Here in the upstate of SC we've been downgraded to the 4 - 6 inch predicted rainfall range. Hope it doesn't get too bad for ya'll, but you'll probably have lots of work after the storm. Good luck and stay safe.
I suspect after just this day,,,,, you have a client for life!! Next will be full site grading, topsoil, then once all the equipment has beat the road in to death, the final grading and gravel on the roadway/parking area!! Haha. I’m not saying you have it now!! I am saying I look forward to seeing the videos on the work mentioned, “when” you do it!! 😂😂😂 I know if you were in my area and I was planning the pond build I just finished etc, your number would be on speed dial,,,, either just Chris or the family business. Either one would be just fine,,,,,!!
It amazes me how you start with a complete mess and before long you end up with a plan and it beginning to look like something great 👍content nicely filmed thank you
Hey Chris we’re here in Hampton South Carolina and we’re pretty sure hurricane Ian is gonna make a mess here. Too bad y’all couldn’t use the pending rain to fill that job y’all fixin up. Always enjoy your work. Be safe out there!
Oh yeah, nice house, now they will have a letsdig18 pond. Hope Ivan doesn't give you a lot of grief, man the wind is howling here FL and the rain coming down a lot.
Nice McMansion Many Happy Meals Chris 😂 You do know how to prioritize these jobs, nice hustle to get to it before those rains hit. Have to hand it to ya Chris!
You need to show the 5 acre pond after the hurricane so we can see how much it filled. I bet it's at least half full if not more. Also show your area to see the aftermath. Stay Safe, Good Luck.
Chris if they want it done right call the best that would be you. Chris you and John have changed the looks of that pond 100% in only half a day great job 👏 great videos
Hey Chris, I've been watching a long time now. I moved to 200 acres earlier this year and I'm having 160 cleared. I've got a lot of white oak stumps to get rid of now and land to clear as the loggers don't exactly leave "cleared" land. What size excavator would you recommend? 200 or 300 or as much as I can afford? The pine stumps won't be an issue. It's the Oak stumps that are going to be a challenge. I appreciate any knowledge you can convey.
I know it's frustrating for you to clean up other peoples messes and I'm sure the owners are frustrated too, but knowing how great it will be when you get finished will be awesome for you and the owner.
Owners sometime direct their frustration with the original contractor at the guy doing the cleanup. I found it helpful to sort that out in plain language before starting work.
