No xps 8300 unfortunately, but the card is 11 inches long and 4 wide, so just take ruler and measure the inside of the 8300 case and you should be able to find out if it can fit inside.

Thanks for the reply. I'm more concerned about the DELL BIOS in my 8300 supporting the card. I think I'll be OK but it's always nice to be sure ahead of time. lol, fwiw, for a while I had the HIS IceQ HD 7950 in my case. A truly big card! And now I see an 8300 owner who's having a problem fitting in an MSI 1070. It comes down to the location of the power connectors I think. I had a HIS HD 7950 that was a tight fit but it was actually bigger than the MISI card. I cannot speak for a dell 8300, but the dell 8700 with i7 4790 and the 460watt psu with 2 6 pin connectors has had zero issues whatsoever for me.

No, a GTX 1070 will not require a PSU upgrade, but a 1080 does require a nice PSU..

chasewalters1 yes you can just make sure the card is 7inches or less

the Fe edition is a blower design, meaning the air is sucked in thru the card and blown out the back of the card where your display cord is attached. This is useful for a dell since we dont have a custom fan and case for optimal air flow. But the other cards are good as well, they can be faster as well as cheaper and still cool the card very well.

It is not far less, go check it out. The site it self says you can do the 1070 with no need to upgrade PSU as stock is 460 watt

yes it will, the 8700 can even fit a 30% larger graphic card than the gtx 1080

But you will need to upgrade your PSU at that point as the 1080 does require a lot of power.

I'm running his exact setup. Bought my gtx 1070 and using the 460w power supply from dell. No issues.
