I knew about it, but thought it got cancelled after that 1st terrible season. Netflix is stupid. Paramount + too as that abomination of a Halo show is getting a 2nd season. Why...
Lots of childrens stories have violence, death and unpleasant things in them. As for targeted audience I think late pre-teen and early teen.@@FUCKCENSORSHIP747
He was always the _hit one of Jay and Silent Bob. He should of stayed SILENT. Then again. I never thought either one was cool. their "cool" seemed always forced upon the public. It's no surprising they are...
It legit didn't make any sense. After getting his son back, and reuniting with his wife (because of course they had to break up), he CHOOSES to die?? To leave his son and wife? And now, if the show continues, and they plan to introduce She-ra, she's not gonna know her father? Because...Men/ fathers don't matter. This was trash.
King Leonidas, Alexander The Great, Julius Caesar, Tiberius, Vespasian, Titus, Trajan, Hadrian, Marcus Aurelius, Constantine, nearly every medieval European king, Saladin, Genghis Khan, Henry VIII, Peter the Great, Louis XIV, Charles XII of Sweden, Frederic The Great, Napoleon Bonaparte. . . to name a few.
I love Hollywood's continued nonsense narrative that being a king is automatically bad, or having a king to be abdicate their thrown to someone else for no reason. They don't even make it a plot point or break down why monarchies are automatically bad, they just are and democracy is always good because reasons
@Gruntvc he already put a mentally unstable T person in his new OD movie game. He really loves putting C list celebrities in his games despite a lot of them not having a talent for games.
They tried to spoil his show. Fuck them and the entitled fan base that's too retarded to realize how well made the second season is. The first season was not bad either.
Kevin “I Cry at A Moment’s Notice” Smith made He-Man a crying, effeminate, indecisive, incompetent, emotional wreck? My levels of Not Surprise are over 9000!
@@557deadpool a bit of a weird assumption/reach in your view of things, it seemed like he was saying this reviewer has similar tastes as him & he can predict if he'll like something based on this reviewers taste/opinion, i dont have great english but am confused how being incapable of thinking was brought up
I mean can it be called He-man if he's not in it? It was basically a fanfic about two lesbians fighting over who is more strong and independent while skeletor cried in a corner
Shows like He-Man make me feel better about not having a thousand different streaming subscriptions. I'd be hard-pressed to find someone that actually likes (or even loves) this show.
There’s a lot of contrivances in this season and asspulls, but the undercurrent of bitterness that the writers put in that is directed at their critics is clear with the tones and precise words being put forwards. It’s a Kevin Smith production, what can you do?
I didn't even know this existed much like most of the remakes of my childhood that get ruined. Keep up the work letting us know so we don't have to watch the trash
I am reminded of the GOOD He-Man remake they made along with the good thundercats remake. Both ended prematurely and on a cliffhanger, but unlike this, people wanted to see what happened next. I heard nothing about a second season of this and my response is the same to the new starwars movies, shows and games as from the better movie Fugitive: "I don't care."
@@jeremybrimmer1990So can we expect the Christ vs Satan death-match soon? I mean, they’ve only been promoting it for something like 6000+ years. I’m beginning to think the whole promotion was just a Fyre Festival scam. When they steppin’ in the cage? I wanna see some god-tier MMA between the Son and the Fallen Son.
i dont understand why people think they can take a famous IP with an already existing fan base and then just "tell their own story" with it.... like grow the fuck up people. If you wanna tell your own story? then INVENT UR OWN CHARACTERS AND STORIES.
If Kevin Smith put as much effort into his writing as he did into trying to stat relevant he MIGHT actually be good and what the fuck is up with people like him and James Gunn constantly going back and contradicting themselves
Not finished yet, but I’m hoping Lazlo shows up at the very end again to declare that “it was a piece of sh*t” 😂😂 he just gets me lol Edit: Yay, he did! 🎉
Kevin's snarky and condescending attitude toward He-Man fans during his first season was enough to make me not want to watch the show. I'm glad I didn't watch it because I saw how terrible it was in the reviews.
Oh shit, that female Hordak is definely Adora, is based on a comic book (which was kindaaaaa decent) that probably was the last time Adora and Shera where used before Netflix did the animated show (which also took some inspirations from that comic)......I hope to god they cancel this show now, the LAST thing, I want to see is Kevin Smith version of Adora and She-Ra.
I actually didn’t mind this season that much I thought it was a huge improvement (in terms of a cartoon) but yeah you are spot on about most of it just being them struggling to recover from the litany of mistakes made in revelations.
In the original Adam would PRETEND to be weak and a crybaby, but never went there completely. It was all an act. Smith here seems to want to play Adam/He Man as Jekyll and Hyde when he transforms instead of how it was originally, with the same character merely gaining powers when transformed and not becoming a different person.
The only reason I enjoy these types of shows being made is to showcase the humiliation kink the producers have and the dunking videos like this. But as far as anyone watching this and enjoying it and accidentally thinking Kevin has any sort of talent? Nah 😂
Whenever i see Cringer or Oko tell Teela how "awesome" she is or pander to some make believe strength she has. i just hear Kevin Smiths voice. most unsettling!
The way Keldor places the mind control chips onto the tongue of his unsuspecting victims resembles how a priest hands out the communion wafer during mass… is this a reference to Triclop’s techno-cult?
Kevin Smith tweeted in 2010 that he was never a He-Man fan, when the Revelation backlash waves starts getting to him he mocked people saying that it doesn't matter if fans hate it because the boss of Mattel loved it.
Hey Reaper, love your content. Do you think you could review Mr. Robot? Its a really cool tv series that is actually really good and flew under the radar because of all the 2016 election bullshit.
95.5% of what you said was correct, and most of revolution was just trying to fix/put out the dumpster fire that was revelation but the quality bar is so low that fans are willing to take anything heck i still don't know what was worst revelation or cgi new diet heman heck all i can hope for is better content later or just back to watching 200X he man
Yep even at the start when Adam lifts the sword and says those words it was like a teenage girl and those words felt terribly powerless, and then facing a truly bad threat he’s got this goofy smile on his face 🤦♂️ I knew within 30 seconds of watching this it was written by a 12 year old girl who has no idea of male masculinity and what a warrior would be like when confronted by death. In the 80’s version we had He-man lifting that sword and it would give you the serious feels that shit was about to get real.
Glad to see I am not the only one to find this underwhelming. It was not as rage-inducing as Revelation, because they thankfully toned down Teela and Andra is so insignificant she might not even exist in the show at all. But the whole Keldor thing was only a surprise twist to babies, given that 2002 and 2021 MOTU already did this backstory, Hordak was a red herring who got done away in one episode, with the rest of the Horde not getting any lines and Motherboard killed off-screen, Scare Glow was easily beaten in the opening, and we are back again with dumb Skeletor trying yet another power play despite him having literal unlimited power last season... It was boring. Oh and Kevin sure has some blackmail material over Star Trek people, not sure how else he got John DeLancie, William Shatner, Gates MacFadden and Jeffery Combs to all appear in this. And Randor's death has to be the stupidest one ever. "I know the all powerful goddess living next door can cure me, but nah, I'd rather die and then go to limbo because Heaven happens to not exist anymore!"
If Tila has all the power and no restrictions as told to us by Masters of the universe :revelation, every moment Skeletor and his allies are alive is her fault and every death by their and by extension their minions hand is all Tula's fault From the logic of that show tila killing Skeleror and the main antagonist of this season would take as equal effort as us ordering our morning coffee
