HIGHLIGHTS: Boris Johnson absolutely terrorised at first Covid Inquiry appearance Subscribe to our new podcast now, or you're a silly goose: linktr.ee/pubcast
Jail him, and the rest of them. No other outcome is good enough. Jail him, sunak, hancock and every single other MP that had anything to do with it. Send them to prison.
Because there’s no evidence of him doing wrong. It’s always the others but not him. He’s been doing this for his en life. You can’t accuse him of lying if he so convinced that he never lies. He has a higher chance to convince you that you are liar, than you can convince him that he is a liar. That’s why he always gets away with everything. He knows how to play with fools.
He made the excuse that we are a crowded country. Japan has nearly twice the population with the same land mass. We had 3 times the death rate of Japan - and their population is more aged than ours. It comes down to incompetence, and an inability by the government to take responsibility.
He also mentioned co-morbidities, the Japanese are not an obese nation. They also eat Nattokinase which is recommended for combatting the harms of spike protein.
Criminal Incompetence and a total disregard for the problems of the British people, is probably the root cause of the Covid debacle, and many other UK problems.
January 2020 after Thailand. The country announced its first case on January 16, our government began to respond in March 3 months later with a clueless team of unqualified and non experienced people in the most top jobs in the county
Yea he excudes evil even through video and tv seen it years ago.knew exactly what he was.I aree lots of contemp for it but as far as im concerned, cant be human along with its cronie,s
I do not hate him, but I don't think he should he anywhere near politics or power. He is essentially a head case that thinks, speaks and acts only in his own self interest. He is a spectacle. The political figures in the UK who are truly hatable and detestable in my opinion are the string of sociopathic home secretaries specifically hellbent on causing as much human misery as possible, who have been emabled by incompetent and apathetic higher ups to actively push legislation to lock-in human suffering on an institutional level.
I cannot understand how anyone likes him. He has the charisma of a slug. He is utterly repulsive. I met him once, I felt like I needed to count my fingers after.
1. Why don't you think it's important to learn any lessons so that we can be better in the future? 2. What crime do you think has been committed. Being incompetent isn't a crime.
@@davegaskell7680this isn't incompetence this was arrogance and lack of any respect. The science was there and it went unused instead we followed people like rishi with his stupid eat out to help out. That isn't incompetence thats selfishness that money was more important than lives.
0:53 This “apology” makes me sick to my stomach. The man is a psychopathic opportunist and will do and say anything to get himself out of a hole. I have nothing but a seething hatred for him.
Boris Johnson never took the job as PM too seriously. That's where the main problems with his premiership lay. He couldn't comprehend the grave consequences his decisions would have on people. Personally, I believe that he lacks the empathy to do so.
Yes this is true. That is why serial lying is so destructive not only to the liar's victims but to the liar themselves because the cognitive strain of creating fake realities means at many points the liar gaslights themselves so completely that they too lose a grip on what is real.
@@rodbenson5879I have always based my reality on this sage lesson: There are three people in one's self, the person you think you are, the person other people think you are, and the person you really are. The closer one keeps them together the easier life is. Boris clearly missed this lesson.
Some of Those who supported him at his political career must be similar people? People like this once you give them 1 single chance they will do it again.
Of course he deleted whatsapp messages..All Government messages are property of the state and thus if erased are and should be deemed as a crimimal offence....
@@odinallfarther6038 But the inquiry isn't about punishing anyone.....it's about learning lessons. There are already people that have given evidence whose reputation has been damaged. That is paying a consequence of sorts.
@@williamrobinson1453 YOU MUST BE A STARMER MAN THEN IF YOU DIDN'T VOTE FOR BORIS IN 2019 WITH HIS BIG MAJORITY FOR PM. WAIT IF STARMER GETS IN YOU WILL DEFINATELY SEE WHO IS LYING THEN, HE CHANGES HIS MIND EVERY OTHER DAY ON ANYTHING HE PROMISES, THE JOKE WILL BE ON YOU THEN.
They destroyed the human genome of the world. We dont know whats in store for humanity in generations to come. Those not vaccinated will be mixed into the general populations in decades to come.
Him and his rubbish government damaged our mental health and couldn't strike a balance between all aspects of health and confucing us with their stupid corrupt communication and decision making 😡
He and Handcock should both be in prison for their decision to leave care homes so vulnerable and causing so many deaths . He should never have been PM as everyone knew he was a liar. I am beyond angry with this shambles of a man for his lies ans seeing him smirk his way through PMQs .
@@davegaskell7680Perhaps you are deaf dumb and blind. Try listening to the QC again. The Blonde Garden Bridge Pig got all the big calls wrong and let the bodies pile high.
@@davegaskell7680 If it were possible - which I know it's not - I too would love to see him locked up. . Reckless negligence. Genocide to be honest. Sending chronically sick people with highly infectious diseases to nursing homes? How many died through this act alone? Cmon. Even a moron knew what would happen. "let the bodies pile high" etc.
Back in 2019 I was made to look as an idiot by self-satisfied "friends" who boasted about Boris Johnson winning that election. I meekly (then) tried to say how clownish and devious he was. It fell on deaf ears. I cannot even be bothered saying "I told you so" to those people. From Brexit to partying he has made the country poorer, small-minded and frankly, infantile.
... Well, there's the easiest of calls for Labour to make. One of the many open goals they seem shy of taking a shot at. Day One - all gov coms, no matter how they are conducted must be backed up to secure servers. If ministers conduct discussions via personal devices then those communications must also be retained and available.
@t.p.mckenna absolutely! Unfortunately, I can see this whole inquiry ending with the phrase "lessons will be learned," when in reality, they should be prosecuted.
Absolutely. Whatsapp is for recipes and holiday snaps...not for running a country during a national emergency. Imagine if Churchill had sent all WW2 correspondence by 2nd class post with 'Too Secret' on the envelopes!
I think he'd actually like an apology from everyone for being so mistreated - you can't put on this kind of arrogance, it's pathological and completely bulletproof
it's literally a type of autism like psycopathy. a type 2 autism based on selfishness and an inability to empathise. narcissism. shouldn't be anywhere near power.
Agreed. Plus, the Churchill delusion must be unravelling right in front of him to be 'treated' this way. There must be a weird disconnect right now going on somewhere in that distorted screenplay of a mind he has cultivated since childhood. Blame the public school system, some messed up genetics or both?
I wonder if Johnson was in an actual real job, such as a GP. Would he be able to walk away from killing through neglect. Or is that just the way parliamentary privilege works?
BoJo 2007: _"It is time we had a grown-up discussion about the optimum quantity of human beings in this country and on this planet."_ Well he did something about it. His Dad, Stan, also is on record that something needed to be done.
I didn't believe one second he had the virus and he was on a ventilator. Patients in ICU don't spend only few days in there, doing cross words as he allegedly did.
Well one way or another he’s lying about this. If my memory serves me right, at the time he was supposed to have Covid, we were bringing told that he was only suffering from a mild case of the virus. In fact didn’t he go back to work within days? Then months later when he was looking for the ‘sympathy vote’ he had apparently been on deaths door. So which was it?
It was never reported that he was on a ventilator 🙄 We were told he was on self-adminstered oxygen 🤦♀️ I do not believe that he was ever ill, either; I think it more likely that he was taken to a warehouse and slapped about a bit to get him to play ball. And he was not allowed to get rid of that piece of work Handcock. Never liked BoJo the Evil Clown so I can't say I feel any sympathy to see him squirming like this. Any case, he will go home to his wealth and opulence after this little bit of embarrassment - he does not care what any of us plebs think of him.
He becomes very still when he thinks he might be about to be caught out lying. We are too polite, we allow people to spout utter lies because we're scared of being accused of being rude. He knows what he's doing, the KC knows what he's doing, everyone watching knows what he's doing - and yet he is able to continue. How can this be?
Exactly this. I agree 💯. We are too polite and accommodating in this country towards bad faith actors and corruption. They need to be called out. If there's one thing we can learn from Americans it is to get angry and fired up about the issues qe care about. Too much quiet deference in the UK
It is malignant nature in a physical abomination. Orating flatulence, and spewing hindsight is because it is a tumour that has been given many chances to do something to prove otherwise... yet utterly fails unfortunately at our expense.
i nearly veered off the road today listening to the radio when Boris said his home office was made up "of a fantastic array of talent" !!!! if so why the appalling way they have dealt with the asylum system process and how poorly their senior civil servants performed in front of the various parliamentary committee hearings...they were all embarrassing car crash interviews
.. because they are all there to undermine their country, they are doing a good job by that definition and are all very suited and talented to do that job. It always amazes me how naive people are, keep reading your mainstream media and you will never learn a thing, good day Sir
@@davegaskell7680: We knew that anyway. Have a look at Exercise Cygnus. Japan, for example, had the same timeframe to respond to the virus as the UK did - fortunately for them they had competent people at the helm. I'm sick and tired of the 'learning lessons' BS - it's a cop out.
Absolutely bollocks. Spent every news appearance & PMQ’s telling everyone how great he was doing whilst the conned public crowed that we should leave him alone, he’s doing his best.
Agreed. Plus the lying git sent out loads of his MPs to parrot the 'got the big calls right' ad nauseum. My blood pressure won't drop till he and his evil cronies are made to pay 😡
It would have helped if he bothered to attend the meetings. TV is now talking about compensation for families of Hillsborough victims and tainted blood scandal. What about compensation for all the families where people died because of that man and his gang
In a just world, he stepped out from the hearing, and was torn apart bodily by the angry mob, who then proceeded to burn the entrails in effigy. Unfortunately we live in this world, the one without justice, or flying cars.
Much as he's definitely at fault, what you describe doesn't sound like a world I'd like to live in. If that's the type of society you want perhaps you should go and live in the middle east....
3:07 RIP those who died as a result of the actions of these corrupt hedonistic hypocrites. A government’s primary duty is to protect the lives of its citizens, a useful performance parameter their effectiveness would be the number of excess deaths per million in responding to the covid pandemic. Using Worldometer data UK comes out at 3354 deaths per million. By comparison USA 3520 In Europe: France 2556 , Spain 2606, Germany 2101, Ireland 1851. Despite the horrors at the start of the pandemic, even Italy fared better than UK at 3184. On the island nations on the other side of the world where the implemented and enforced rigorous entry quarantine from the start: Australia 875 deaths per million and New Zealand 995 (Worldometer 12 10 2023 - 😡too furious to look up the latest but you can see the principle and extrapolate backwards or forwards) Notwithstanding the complaints about the effect on the economy and different geography etc. governments are aware of their local circumstances and the figures speak for themselves as to how effectively they prioritised to protect their citizens as opposed to the vested interests of lobby groups.
Well COVID obviously targeted gullible idiots. Vote Trump get plague. Vote Johnson get plague. It's not as if those two were proven liars and incompetents so they clearly can be trusted with public affairs...
What do you mean ,we are a very densely populated little island ,and brexiteers wanted to curb the influx and were promised that ,it’s just that the liars in government turned that into an influx of a different nature ,this cnut lied to get in government and he’s lying now the b@stard hould be locked up along with the rest of the cnuts in this sham government
@@clarecollins2547 no he didn’t Clare he was trying to be smart and suggesting that 18 million people who voted to leave the EU are dense ,of course this extremely clever individual is speaking with hindsight ,we wold all be as clever as him if we had his crystal ball 🔮
I'm pleased to see Boris taking this enquiry oh so seriously today, by clearly having his mop chopped & brushed before hand. Edit- All jokes aside; we must _never_ forget what an incompetent & compulsive liar this man truly is. The endless "mistakes" made by the Tories re the pandemic were disgusting & as ever they've been shown to only care about their own interests above saving the lives of everybody else.
"Incompetent and a compulsive liar," yes. But, please don't forget that he and his party are riddled with corruption. Incompetence may be pardoned (at a pinch); corruption should be punished.
Cameron wasn't strong enough to hold his Party together and thus he gave us the Brexit referendum and promptly resigned. Subsequent Tory Party leaders rewarded him with a life peerage in the Lords and a Ministerial position. Just like the 'VIP fast-track lane' for Covid PPE, it's graft, sleaze & corruption.
Knowing what we know about BJ, he definitely had his fingers (left hand) and toes crossed!! You can't believe a word that comes out of this sack of air!!
I think that response was rehearsed. When asked about the factory reset, his reply “factory reset?” Was designed to make us believe he couldn’t possibly have attempted such a thing on his phone, as he doesn’t know what one is!! What BS that is. Of course he knows what that is in tech speak!!
@@Askins.dt2001 yeah… could well be… I just don’t get the impression he can stick to a script… think he just wings it more. Every time he talks just sounds like a 10 year old kid that’s been caught…
@@Askins.dt2001 all responses rehearsed, of course. however much time he spent in this inquiry, he'll have spent 3x longer with lawyers to ensure he said the right things / didn't say the wrong things, repeating his reaction to direct accusations of incompetence until they were believable enough. It's all planned and there's not much the inquiry can do about it beyond stacking up all the evidence and pointing it at him. Him laughing off the suggestion that he wanted to keep Hancock as the fall guy despite increased deaths, and having "accidentally" deleted the most relevant 6 months' Whatsapp history, says it all.
Anyone one else notice that Johnson would not say Dominic Cummings's name he named others around him and referred to "other" special advisors. Maybe Cummings is Johnson's Beetlejuice.
Bunter felt that Cummings would do all the governing whilst he (Bunter) would go to all the free meals, jollies and when shagging opportunities might be available.
We saw what was happening in Italy weeks before it hit the U.K., why did the government think it wouldn't affect us, they allowed people to travel here from all over, being an island gave us an advantage that others on the continent didn't have.
Yes, Italian doctors telling press that the elderly were dying in droves, and the media suppressed it. Could have closed our borders weeks before! As we now know, he wanted the elderly to die and needed time to set up fake companies for his mates.
Absolutely why , we had a much bigger death toll than Italy in the end , disgrace , but then we had to have the Cheltenham Festival , didn’t we , rich man’s sport .
@@debcrook9086 yes you are right I didn’t address that , don’t think we will ever know what the truth is with any of it . Don’t think anyone will be held to account .for there actions,or lack of action.
His apology about the circumstances isn't what's needed. That's like saying sorry for your loss. He should apologise for parties through lockdown, indecision and complete lack of leadership. He was very vague in saying that they may have made mistakes also; that's a half apology.
His apologies cost him nothing. Perhaps he should be forced to compensate his victims from his own personal funds, though I wouldn't argue against 20 years of hard labour.
Boris nor anyone in the PM office is a dictator. He was not an SS guard ordering people about nor is that expected of anyone in a democratic government. If that is what you want then move to North Korea.
Here in Czech Republic, we locked down immediately in March 2020. We looked on with confusion and growing horror as the UK dithered and delayed their lockdown, with the resultant increase in Covid cases and related deaths. We also delayed an August 2020 lockdown, but evenutally did one in September 2020. Again, we couldn't fathom why the UK kept delaying, even as the evidence from other countries should the effectiveness of lockdown measures. Johnson must take the majority of the blame for delaying lockdown as they focused on a) not giving credence to the evidence, and b) keeping the economy going. What a bunch of sociopathic numpties
We also locked down in March 2020, but the criticism of the Tories (& Boris) is that this was weeks upon weeks too late, even though they definitely knew how bad things were going in parts of Europe. They ignored the predictions (along with the science) in favour of keeping their money flowing. This lead to thousands of lives lost. This wasn't a mistake, it was a choice. Money over morals, as is always. They are disgusting.
No evidence that lockdowns achieved any benefit. Our government put covid cases in care homes where the most vulnerable people were. The death numbers were catastrophic. That policy alone wiped out any benefit of the lockdown.
This is exactly the debate they want. Discussion over the trivia whilst the elephant in the room is ignored. The questioning should have been on what science the decision to lockdown was based. Sweden, which effectively didn't lockdown had significantly better outcomes than both the UK and the Czech Republic.@@Melanie_Star
Most Brits were also confused and horrified, believe me. I knew it would be bad when Johnson skipped the first five cobra meetings. He just didn't give a flying f*ck.
@@notbloodylikely4817 I think any responsible cabinet would have collectively resigned after he missed the first 3. Or at least there should have been a significant number who either leaked the fact ( though being Cobra, I guess this might have been treasonous ), or ust resigned in protest.
As a minister of the crown he was responsible for all government data he uses while in office. It was government data and not his. If he deleted data or got someone else to do it for him it does not matter which. Johnson is responsible for it and is culpable for its loss/hiding it. He clearly committed perjury here. It does not matter if it was a committee or a court as he swore under oath in front of a legally competent person that he is telling the truth. That is the grounds for Perjury. He would have been better off not going under oath. Then he would just get yet another contempt of parliament charge slapped on him rather than a actual criminal offence.
Yep, I bet he is terrified after the consequences Tony Blair faced with the Iraq ones..... Boris could have got Tony to give the same answers with the same zero consequences once this inquiry is over ....why do these always feel like a tick box to be done. Strange but ......
So according to this , blojo has tried to reset his phone so his WhatsApp messages wouldn’t be visible on his phone. Making it harder to retrieve them due to encryption. If that doesn’t scream guilt I don’t know what does!!!
As someone who can't vote for a Conservative or Labour Government how did the people of England vote to visit this purveyor of terminological inexactitudes on us all?
