Considering England have some key people injured I’d say they still put out an amazing performance. I wished Sam Underhills try was awarded but rules are rules. Great respects to the All Blacks though and a well fought win. Such an exciting team to watch.
Mad respect for England from an ABs supporter. ABs had twice as many caps on the park to be fair, so England played phenomenally well. This was arguably Englands B team but still managed to keep within 1 point. I know I speak on behalf of all Kiwi's when I say this but we wish we had more games against England. You guys might be sitting at 4th on the world rankings but we know it should be 2. In order for both our countries to remain the best we need to play each other more. We're sick of playing Australia and having a dead rubber by game 3 in a season. Would much rather see our ABs play NH sides more, especially Ireland too. We would all benefit greatly if we had more games together. Even if its a nations or championship competition every 2-3 years. Playing every 4 years isn't enough!
So sad that the IRB would allow such blantant "cheating" from the officials 15 players against 16 and one of the 16 is blowing the whistle. There is clearly no offside on England's last try
I am a huge rugby league fan and don't usually watch union but I really enjoyed this game and was so proud of the team for their immense efforts against the world ranked no.1, excited for the six nations!
Im gonna assume your not from England but he's an excellent player. Yeah he does need consistency with making tackles but considering All Blacks ran inside balls all 2nd half I'm not surprised.
@Liv N 😂 That's not it the man can hit, he put some good hits on Retallick and Crotty thing is, the more you run to someone eventually they'll miss. And no offence to England he's a class above that team.
Considering the southern hemisphere players traveling vast distances and different time zones between each other Argentina, Australia, Japan, New Zealand and South Africa for about 7 months a year is a good effort for the boys down south. Flying to different countries and spending many hours in the air does wear these boys down traveling north. I think this world cup next year is going to be absolutely spectacular next year. Eddie Jones made changes to the second half to see if the leadership was up to the task of making decisive decisions and they weren't. These boys will ponder and come out the better for it.
Wow that offside call was a 50/50 for me I keep replaying that moment at 2:13-2:16 and it’s really close. The ruck actually expands forward by the all black foot while perenara picks up the ball which in turn puts Lawes in what we would call an offside position but it happens so fast or simultaneously that for me personally the call could’ve went either way
As an Englishman, i have to admit the right & brave call was made by TMO. Though according to new ref protocols, ref needs to make a decision not the TMO. I was surprised England weren't called offside more often. I n their attempt to pressure Barrett they were offside more than once. It's karma, considering Owen Farell should've been penalised for shoulder charge against Sth Africa
It wasn't just England offside, New Zealand were to and it's not just this match, offside is slowly becoming what feeding in the scrums used to be. In general it's so easy to spot, I mean what else are the linesman doing at ruck time, but for some reason it consistently goes unpunished for most of the match. At kick off it's beyond a joke and it's so easily fixed. It makes it so infuriating when your team is called for offside because the other team are also doing it. Lawes may or may not have been offside but that's beside the point, the real problem is that for 99% of the match that charge down isn't even considered for offside. This then creates a situation where it's almost unfair when a team gets punished for being offside as its effectively being punished for just doing what everyone else is doing.
I thought we played well in patches and the addition of maybe two or three of the 14 missing players will make us a more competitive side. Either of the vunipola brothers, Dan Cole, Ellis Genge (beast), Joe Launchbury, Chris Robshaw, Nathan Hughes, JJ, any of those maybe Tom Curry, but as Underhill was so good he might struggle to get back in the side.
@@connorwhelan4360 I disagree, he is always quick to the breakdown, but I guess we will leave the final judgement to Eddie, he knows more than both of us put together.
Still have to give credit, he tied Barret in knots - completely turned him inside out and was awesome and gut wrenching to see at the same time. Then the TMO saved the day lol and I breathed a sigh of relief haha.
The Clover King true! All England needed to do though was take the penalty instead of kicking to the corner 2-3 times during the second half and coming away with nothing!
They're going to fuck it in the Semi's next year. Looked completely overwhelmed by England and it was out of their hands that they won the game. Very, very lucky.
so gutted we didn't go on to win after that blitz of a start. Robbed by the TMO but we still had other chances to win. Should have taken the 3 points earlier instead of going for another try. Lineout was terrible in the second half too. Jamie George is not good enough.
I'm from New Zealand and I'm gonna give you my 2cents😂 I actually think to go for the try was the right decision. That Owen Farrell you got, he's for real but i don't mean to disrespect England team but Farrell is a class above the team. I agree with Eddie Jones the skill level of the players will eventually come along so that when Farrell makes what I think is the right decision the team can execute it better it worked brilliantly in the 1st half. He didn't have his best game but his game management was elite.
England fans, let's not get in to all these what ifs. What if the try was given. Does that mean ABs wont score again. They have done it so many times in the last minute. What makes you think that ENG is so good that they won't. ENG was up 15 nil and AB cought up. What if Ardie scored. Sorry you tried you lost.
@Paulie G I understand your frustration that England had a sustained period of domination and New Zealand only managed to scrape their way back into the game from off-beat penalties and dodgy tmo decisions. When you have a team you consider to be the best in the world, it most be hard when another country shows equal or even superior skill. All I'll say is that I'm looking forward to the world cup 😉
