HOW IS THIS REAL? HOME FREE - MAN OF CONSTANT SORROW ( REACTION ) 

You know these music reactions are a dime a dozen. It's the reactor that makes or breaks it. Some of them just have a special something and....you got it girl!

Hey girlfriend! This is a vocal group that started in Minnesota. The beatboxer and his brother (Adam and Chris Rupp) started the group (both from Mankato Minnesota). They played a lot of fairs and small shows. The next current member they added was one of the tenors (Rob) from Minneapolis. That bass (Tim) is known in the a cappella community (small community but maybe not as small as some might think). Their bass at the time had family issues on one tour so they asked that gentleman to help out. When their bass left to do more family stuff they asked Tim to join and, eventually, he did. While playing on a cruise ship they met the other tenor (Austin) and Austin made it known he'd love to join. They did not have room at the time but just a bit later, another member left to be with family more and they gave Austin a call. Right after that they got on the show The Sing Off (I can't remember the season... 4 or 5... but the season right after Pentatonix won). They crushed it and took the title that season winning a Sony contract and tour. A few years later, Chris Rupp left to pursue his solo career and the group added another Adam (chance this time and he is usually called Chance and not Adam to eliminate confusion). The have bought out their Sony contract and are under their own label (Orchard Music I believe). The split time between Minneapolis and Nashville mostly. Rob and Adam still live in Minneapolis as does their producer. Tim is from Texas but moved to Nashville. Austin is a Georgia boy but also moved to Nashville. Chance is from Alabama but lives in LA currently. They put out about 50-50 covers and originals and went crazy during the C19 lockdowns, releasing many videos. When not in lockdown, they tour all over the world. Catching a live show is SOOOOOO worth it. In other words, they are a group with Minnesota roots but southern flair and have BTS videos and journey videos as well as a host of music videos on their YT channel. Yes, welcome to Home Free, all acapella, no instruments at all. Masters of all musical genres. They won the 4th season of the Sing Off in 2013. Their covers are upgrades, their medleys are brilliant, their collaborations with the original artists are inspirational, and their original songs are masterpieces. Within this 5 man vocal band you have 5 tenors, 5 beat boxers, and 2 bass-baritones. All of them can sing lead and they choose depending on whose voice best fits the song. They can do just about anything and they continue to grow and improve, yet they remain so humble. When they have featured guest artist, they support and allow their featured artists to shine. Several of them have their own channels and do some solo work. And just for fun Rob and Austin sing Opera. What else can I say? Their catalogue of work is quite large and continues to grow. You are in for an exciting journey and the Home Fries will be there for you all the way.

Best a cappella group out there. Five insanely talented guys whose voices blend perfectly. Since you really seem to like Austin Brown, I suggest their cover of When A Man Loves A Woman next.

You have just been introduced to the best a cappella group out there. These guys are all so talented. They lean towards country but they can do any genre. They all can take the lead depending on whos voice is best for the song. They are known for their tight harmonies. Tim Foust is one of the best bass singers out there with a 5 octave range & their beatboxer vocal percussionist Adam Rupp can simulate any sound. This song is very old & is done in the bluegrass country style. It was used in the movie "Oh Brother Where Art Thou" starring George Clooney.

If you enjoy this style (gospel/blues/jazz from the early 1900s), you should check out the movie "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" It's hilarious. Based off the classic Odyssey, look for the "sirens" and the "cyclops." They play this song, but not by Home Free. Another song from the era you might know is "You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make me happy when skies are gray..." Great movie, great songs.

Yes, I think it was in S. Alabama. The boys won the 4th season (2013) of the NBC show the Sing Off and have been going strong ever since. They can all sing and all take the lead depending on the song. They are a cappella so no instruments. Adam is their beatboxer and he is amazing. They are all talented. You like the lead singer in this, Austin. He is the high tenor and phenomenal. Tim, the bass, has a 5 octave range and can sing super low and then sing high. They sing all genres of music and tour around the world. Also they love being goofy and bring us lots of joy. Try End of the Road, Can’t Stop the Feeling, Die a Happy Man, Yours. 😍😄

Though published in 1913 by Dick Burnett, who did not compose it, this song is an old American Folk Song. The original composer(s) is unknown. It was old when published - he just put it to paper - which then enabled him to earn from its use. Prior to that it was learned "by ear" having originated in & around Kentucky, Tennessee and thereabouts.
