Great video Paul. Had a slight issue with my Apex this morning, called the office and spoke to Lee. Really helpful. Told me to do a full strip and clean. Whacked this on and followed along. Absolute doddle!

Having an old badger Patriot with the .5 needle I could relate to your cleaning and maintenance. 0.3 needle set on its way .... Love that yours doesn't have the blob at the back so you can pull the needle out through the front. Thank you for the video - very helpful.

Thanks Paul, great video. As you know I had a couple of issues with my Apex but that was entirely my fault. I thought I was cleaning properly until you "educated" me in the proper process. I'm now using the Apex regularly with no problems whatsoever. I will shortly buy another as the H & S's are going to take a back seat!

this airbrush is similar to budgers 155 but its a gravity feed. I wanted to find an airbrusth like this and now I have THANKS!

Very much the same way as I clean mine but very informative . The UMP apex is a wonderful airbrush is my main one now and never fails me . Excellent value for money compared to my h&s evolution .

Cheers mate, that is the Iwata cleaning kit have a google for it and you should find it although its not cheap

GSI Procon boy, similar to iwatas, have uber small nozzles. There was a time when fluff got into the nozzle and its a nightmare to get it out of that small aperture!

What's your opinion of using ultrasonic cleaner? I spray mostly tamiya acrylic and use the ultrasonic cleaner filled with Simple Green (USA) for deep cleaning of my iwata clones (royalmax)..

great vid, I'm really thinking of getting an apex, I have an iwata eclipse hp-cs 3-3.5mm......do you do the fitting if a customer wanted the Apex with the 2mm needle kit? Just be lazy tbh cheers love the vids

Great Video Paul, have to say I watched the older bits you did in other vids and learnt loads :-) I notice in this Vid you did not cover or mention the Needle seal O ring T814 or Needle seat adjuster screw T813.... Do you ever remove and clean / inspect these?

Paul What primer do you use with Splash and or Zero Paints?

I believe he uses the UMP Ultimate Primer, which I think is the same stuff as Badgers Stynylrez primer or he decants Tamiya Surface Primer

Yeah that's a good way to damage the seal with the sharp blunt edge of the back of the needle
