After you get it all back together, are there any certain requirements? I have a Kia 3.8 V6 and replaced the guides, tensioners, and chains. After put back together, I was thinking about pulling the fuse/relay disabling the fuel system and letting it crank for a minute or so to oil- prime the system? Any thoughts? thanks

Hey I'm watching your videos but I don't see the video for I got a 2016 Hyundai accent with 1.6 l inline 4 cylinder and it's got a timing chain and the water pump is connected to the timing chain cover plate and so I was just needing a little help with like setting the timing and making sure that I'm all set right before I but back up thank you

Interesting video thanks. Do you think if you are replacing the tensioner you should replace the chain as well? I have an i30 that sounds like it needs a new tensioner, about 130,000 miles, and I guess the labour is going to be expensive to get to the parts

Cold start are difficult in morning and evening,rpm gage doesn't register and slippery road icone light in dash, i let engine running 20 sec. Stop and restart engine ,every thing back to normal.i can ear timing chain slack beeing pickup when oil pressure rises in tensionner

i just did an 2017 elantra gt 2.0L timing job cause the tensioner failed. however i have a feeling the new tensioner failed. the problem i have is, when i rotate the engine 2x my marks line up but i get slack in the chain.. any idea why? is there a new chain design compared to the oem one?

Did you figure this out? I'm having the same issue, I've gotten 2 new tensioner under warranty but still getting slack.

Why was the oil pan pulled to do the timing? Can it be done without doing that?

Interesting video. Is that a petrol engine? I have CRDT 1.6 i guess the procedure is the same but rotating the crank will be difficult due to compression? Open the injectors a little? So to repace tensioner needs no special tools? What if the chain needs to be replaced? Local mechanics say chain and tensioer needs special tools? So they wont do the job😟 What do you think? My engine runs fine but it sounds like chain is loose.

Please my 16 elantra is driving me nuts I have done everything but the throttle body gasket and the intake and this stupid car shakes at every light stop sign drive through I will drive it to you I really just want the idle up and if I gotta buy a 1000$ scan tool ok but please tell me just how to turn the idle to about 800
