In this yoga for anxiety video you'll be introduced to a meditation technique called labelling.
This is my go-to meditation when I'm struggling with anxiety or when my mind just won't be quiet. Here, I'll introduce you to the beginner-friendly meditation technique, give you a little bit of time to practice on your own then give you some tips on how you can develop the technique further.
This meditation for anxiety technique helps us become more aware of our thoughts, notice thought patterns and encourages us to keep bringing our attention back to the present moment.
Once you're comfortable with the skill of labelling your thoughts using the work 'thinking' you can develop it further by choosing different words to label your thoughts, like 'past' or 'future' for example.
No need to rush into this though - by taking the time to develop the initial skill (labelling your thoughts as 'thinking') you might start to notice thought patterns that naturally introduce different labels.
Let me know in the comments how you got on!
