I had the pleasure of changing a compressor on a cummins truck engine--found out real quick about the devil bolt!! Priced out the "special wrench" then made my own.
Facts but on behalf of all the 91Bs Fuck that if he thinks that things breaks a lot wait until he gets a lmtv or a hemmet OR a hett xD keep up the good vids buddy
I think you can make a half a dozen vids featuring this 6X6. I learned to drive one in Germany in 1990. They are amazing---and beautiful beasts. And yes, you can go places where a lot of other off-roaders can't. P.S. I was born on Ft. Riley.
Ya’all know that rubber wheel liner lifts out don’t ya. Makes working on the side of the engine a lot more comfortable and the front tire turns in to a seat.
I remember driving those in the Army they're almost as fun as driving one of the old military Jeeps M151A2. Great video keep on doing what you do. Stay safe and healthy. Rick
New to the channel, awesome to see this truck running. There are still a few 5ton work horses still in active duty. Have one from my last unit built in 1985 and still running. Fixing the mechanical fuel pump on these things is hell! Trying to get all the air out of each valve and the timing just right is my personal purgatory!
During World War II Holden was making the 6x6 Blitz, and back in the 1960’s/70’s there were some of them left in North Queensland used by logging contractors. A friend of mine’s family owned one and I remember a drunken night finding out just how steep an incline it could get up. I have never since seen any vehicle that could climb seemingly impossible slopes like that old blitz could. 6x6 is awesome.
I can confidently say since the day I discovered this channel I have watch every video up on till now. Westen can't wait for more content. You are going to go far with this channel
I ran across your videos this week and have watched a few and your interactions with the camera and your crew crack me the hell up. I subscribed, looking forward to what else you're working on!
I enjoy being entertained and I enjoy learning something. A lot of your content you tackle bigger projects or different projects than I have. I was a bit disappointed you didn't show your compressor change.
I served on a rural fire department in Arizona that had an old 1970 Kaiser M44 tanker deuce converted to a water tender firetruck. It would do 45 mph down the road and 45 mph across the open desert with 2000 gallons of water on the back!!! Had a call for a fire out in the desert many miles from the end of the pavement. I was blasting through the desert just as fast as we went down the highway. LOVED that truck!!!
