@Harshvardhana Sahay Not true. There is a 1660 ti version that was released last month (I'm typing on it now), and there are RTX 2060 versions popping up in different markets around the world currently.

@@JacobGeorgeElamthottam ofcourse taxes are a big issue here, plus the companies still sell it at a higher price point, since they believe that they anyway wouldn't sell a lot of laptops. So they try to make the most of the few they sell.

Great review as always and loved the FPS joke. Is this laptop currently available in Australia? In Aus, we seem to be very limited by good options around the $2-2.5k AUD mark like the RP-15. Are you able to recommend a ryzen laptop in this price range available in Aus? Thanks mate!

Yep same in Australia not officially available and shop now listing was pulled from HP Australia was listed at 2699 aud so 1957.58 USD so feel your pain.

If you need to have it sooner than later get it when you can. But if you need to wait until August or later in 2021 maybe they will offer laptops with nvidia 3000 series gpus. There's just no current information to go off of for the new nvidia cards for laptops. We just know they are coming.

Go for the omen 15, you will be able to stream on your cpu (bcz of more cores in R7) which will give you more gaming performance as you would be streaming on your cpu and not on gpu. Also you will get more battery life on omen as it has a larger battery and amd processors (4000 series) are more efficient in light tasks due to their 7nm architecture. Cpu performance on ryzen is more powerful which will aid in video production also

Can you turn off the dedicated gpu to boost battery life? I'm concerned about how it always pulls 80w in all the power mode, must drain the battery a lot.

The ryzen 4800H has an integrated Vega 7 GPU which it uses when you're not gaming. In nvidia control panel, you can configure AMD GPU to be default for all cases and only switch on the Nvidia GPU for specific applications but you won't have to do this since the automatic switching works quite well. Also he mentioned 8 hours battery life which wouldn't be possible if nvidia GPU was kept on even at idle. Lastly the power consumption of CPU and GPU depends on load

I checked out a display model at best buy and wow does that thing have the smoothest lightest hinge on it ever. I checked out the screen flex too which didn't seem like it would be a problem at all. The new omen's are super nice. A rtx 2070 model with the 300hz display would make an amazing laptop.

Trust me ,You wouldn't be getting any good laptop for ₹50k in India (according to your stated usage,just forget portability point, it wouldn't be helpful either ). Instead invest & go for an AMD PC build , you'll be getting far more vfm ,power & upgradibility from it than buying some lower cheap end Laptop for ₹50k. Rest is upto you.

Will with future updates in next 2-3 years will we see games using multi core use for gaming rather then the old single core? I know its sounds funny but with proper software and... I believe it can be achived which will boost laptop performance also high.

I have the Intel i7-10750h + RTX 2070 Super edition and just loving this laptop very much. Super happy with my decision on going with this HP Omen 2020. Thermals are amazing!!!
