Got me a 2014 Z28 and I love it!!! Follow me on Instagram @TheCamaroMan_96 Shout out to RedLine Performance Group in Douglasville GA for hooking me up with this car! #Z28 #LS7 #Chevy
The subtle wide-body of the Z28 gets me every time, appearance wise… I know the OEM parts are kinda hard to find, but I guess if you want to drive and enjoy the car to your heart’s content, then they still have some aftermarket replacement parts options out there.. The OEM 5th gen Camaro Z28 wheels and rear exhaust diffuser are so sought after, most people with the 14-15 SS 1LE (either 1SS or 2SS) love the rear bumper valence/trim and the quad exit exhaust. The vented hood on the 14-15 SS 1LE, as well as the front bumper splitter and rear trunk spoiler (with wicker bill), is what I’d love to eventually put together on my 2010 2SS (unless I manage to get ahold of a 2013 or 2014-15).
Nice Z and congrats. Good luck finding anything OEM on the Z. Somebody is hoarding them parts. Front splitter, carbon rotors, brake pads, whicker bill, rims, intake covers, list goes on and on. Enjoy the ride dude!
I haven’t looked it up, but isn’t there some way you can downgrade the pads and rotors on the stock Z28 brake calipers? I know the OEM brake parts are some super pricey 2-pc GM Performance rotors, and some kind of GM Performance or Brembo OEM pads; but there has to be some kind of alternative, I’m sure… You might not be able to get it back to 100% OEM shape for the specific stuff, like the wide-body or carbon fiber body parts; but the other non-discontinued parts usually have some form of replica aftermarket replacements.
Nice new car, I feel sad about your project car because it was almost ready to go. I have a personal appreciation because I've been working on my firebird for 25 years hahaha and I bought the same stuff as you except Holley EFI I think you've helped me with mine. I did mine before I watched your channel so it made me confident, oh I have the torquehead
The head's on the Z28 are different than the ones that came with the C6 ZO6. Also, the lifter problem on the 427s did not span all years that the ZO6 was in production.
I worked for a chevy dealer in 2014-2015 drove a blacked out z28 and have never wanted to take a car home so bad. Besides my uncles 70 Z28 this is my number 2 dream car.
I have a 5th gen 2011 base model SS, that did not come with the factory four gauge pack, but it was pre-wired for it, and was an easy plug and play retrofit.
Should be a mode button on the turn signal switch that you can push until you get to performance mode and it will show you the oil pressure and a few other things
@@Devon_Lewis no offense but this color is too boring 😴 You should wrap it "Flash Green" Check out this beautiful Flash Green Camaro to see what I'm talking about.. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GR2YtY-TtgY.html
Either it was a clone, or someone swapped out the brakes. Which I never understood that if you buy the car it’s for the performance of the car and the brakes on the z28 is one of the key performance parts of the car! They also should last the life of the car unless you’re tracking it all the time lol
I lived in Florida and I drove by 85. Deepwater didn’t realize that the check for the bottom of the car and start it water in the engine so I had to have the injury face so stay out of the water was your Camaro where is the Zimmerman
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-B23BrEwhx9Y.html 40 seconds in the guy shows how to install the gauges. There’s a link where to get them from too!
What kind of deal did you get with how many miles??? You can add in the factory 4 pack gauge cluster in the console for like 150 bucks I am pretty sure… I can help with that instead of trying to add on other aftermarket stuff you can get the direct gm stuff pretty cheap, it’s the cable plus the gauge cluster that’s all, secondly why didn’t you go with a ZL1 of this era? Only because you wanted the bigger motor? I’m interested to hear this one, I think ole mr pitts has been paying you too well lmao, I’m only kidding bro…
I’ll look into the cluster! Also I forgot they even made these 😂 but come to find out they only made about 500 of the 14 models! Also I love being different and I know not a lot of people have the Z28! Also I’m from way back in the boonies where it’s all curves and back roads so I wanted something that could hang a curve!
Plus the z28 comes standard with gm direct cold air intake, the wires could be there for fog lights maybe since they got deleted on those, I mean the options are limitless with this but if you got it outright that’s one thing but if it’s on a loan that’s another you can’t change a whole lot, just basics but I’m pretty sure you know that already, bro I’ll do anything to help ya out just because a friend of robs is a friend of mine and you can guarantee I can put you in the right direction on how you wanna do some things, like why not get the LED brake lights instead of the halogen ones??? They look ten times better and better then the aftermarket ones that have the 6th gen look but have a delay on the electrical system… I’m a wealth of knowledge when it comes to these cars and I wanna help ya out as much as possible
Thanks man! Ya I’ve been looking at tail lights and stuff all day 😂 there is so many options! I’m not used to this, because everything custom on my 93 I had to hand make. Everything I want for this car is already available!
@@Devon_Lewis no nothing bad lol. Just how did you swing that that's awesome! I'm just a tad envious, just been struggling lately and comparing myself to other people don't mind me! Car is badass man
