I think its also important to point out that brands that have lolita pieces and are considered "lolita" brands have carried non lolita pieces for ages! Even the "sacred" Japanese brands! (Ex: moi meme motie and atelier pirrot to name a few). I've had my eye on gloomth for a while now and I'm so jealous that I can't go there in person. After the loss of kuroshirokawaii here in texas, I miss shopping for alt fashion in person so much😭😭😭

Im visiting my partner who lives an hour outside of toronto this summer and I'm definitely going to go to doll funeral! We both love clowns and i wear lolita so it's something both of us will enjoy, I'm really glad you posted about it so I know about it and can make plans to go when I'm close to toronto (I live in the UK)

I was visiting Canada in early May and had to stop by Doll Funeral / Gloomth in Toronto. Taeden is an amazing person and I'm so happy you made a whole video about her work *_* I was travelling just with a handbag, so I only bought a tote bag; I hope I can order a dress from them soon!

I wanted to check out this shop but the directions to get there were always for the escalators and Toronto sucks accessibility wise so i had no clue if I could even go. So thank you thank you thank you for including elevator directions 😭 do you think the store/displays are spacious enough for a wheelchair to get around?

I believe the store should be spacious enough for a wheel chair during general hours. For events, with the extra racks perhaps not BUT I think the vibes of the community, people would definitely be willing to help. You may also be able to arrange a specific time to come when the volume of people there is lower again I’m just thinking it would be tricky for the events. On their website, there is more information about private shopping too, you can definitely direct specific questions there. They’d be able to give you more specifics💕

You should easily be able to navigate with a wheelchair in the space. Oh! I thought I'd included the elevators in my how to find us video, I will have to redo it because that's definitely important! :D And as Lor said you can for sure book a private shopping session with us anytime if you're worried about crowds/navigating in em.

just got my first dress from there not to long ago. loved there dresses for ever and it popped up in my feed that they had a physical store right before i was about to go downtown. they didn't have the size i needed in store sadly but trying on the 5x gave me confidence a 6x would fit fine and i ordered it online and i've been loving it so far been back to get more accessories for it 2. the stuff they carry from other artists are super cool as well. i have really bad anxiety as well and at least normally it's not to busy and the staff have all been super nice

I bought a dress from them. While it's pretty, it was so expensive for the problem I had to deal with. This dress showed sweat stains like crazy. I was so mad when I realized it, but knew that I couldn't return it.

Many of their dresses are lolita dresses. Dauphine OP and Ghost Queen OP are perfect for lolita. I love their leggings for the ol razzle dazzle. And I bought the Doll Funeral bunny shirt to wear with a punk inspired coord. Give this company money. It's good stuff.

The price includes tracked shipping in North America (and Canada Post suuuuucks for shipping costs), that's why it's higher. :) But I fully get it.
