Twittard users have long since left this realm of existence. There isn't a single thing they can say now that won't be out of this world wacky and insane.
@MikuFangirl290-oz7bz Ding ding yep you got it. That's what I meant in my comment. They treat fictional characters like real people and real people like fictional characters is so stupid it's unreal.
Think about all those kids in school having a crush on someone, and they imagine themselves together with them. Now they're called a creep because the imagination didn't consent.
Even the fictional characters in your own head now "can't consent" apparently. So you can't even imagine yourself with a character you made up in your head or you're a "creep". Lmao Leftism is a mental disease.
@@ryonalionthunderThis is why I'm worried when I see a lot of people who are seemingly on our side promoting Christianity as if it will save entertainment.
ive said this once and i'll say it again: "People who worry this much about consent have probably never made it far enough in a relationship where it would matter"
Or, they're likely behaving this way to hide the fact that they themselves won't consider consent when the power is in their hands in a relationship with someone else. I remember Hero Hei said this once: "virtue signaling is in it of itself false virtue", and boy is he correct. A lot of individuals who choose to be obnoxious activists and dictate the creative freedoms of what other artists are allowed to draw and share are very often people who are highly narcissistic, bigoted (ironically) and are somewhat mentally ill, but don't let that last one make you think they have no control of themselves and should be let off the hook.
"probably never made it far enough in a relationship where it would matter" Ah, that old feeling of being called out even though it wasn't directed at me. Oh well, at least I have my anime waifus
@@gsamov Violence won't make them change their minds. It will just feed into their victim/persecution complex. They need to be put into an inpatient mental health program, preferably one not covered by their insurance. That will give them a REAL reality check.
Apparently, someone once complained about people using s*x toys because objects can't consent. (Heard someone say that they heard that rather than seeing the source for myself, so make of that what you will.)
@@lilpipps167 Prisoner: "I'm in here because I robbed multiple banks. What are you here for?" You: "I written a story of my fictional character getting killed."
Remember. The same people that get mad at characters being sexualized like cammy from street fighter, praised a video game for letting you sleep with a bear
@@ZeldaGuy12345 gay sex? That has nothing to do with it lol they literally praised a game for letting you have sex with a bear but get mad over a fake character
Dear twitter freaks: Fictional characters can't consent because they're fictional and don't actually exist. Did your favorite artist give their consent to letting you listen to a piece of music that they produced that you like? No they did not.
@@ComposedSage75 And they are forgetting that those fictional boundaries can be broken if it's done in real life as opposite to fiction. For example wise: Cat drinking milk is only a fictional rule, if it's done in real life, The cat will get instantaneous diarrhea.
3rd world problems: Im scared because my children and I might starve to death 1st world problems: Im mad because fictional characters are drawn in a sexual way
@@ComposedSage75 And yet, somehow, they still manage it but completely backwards. They act like fictional characters need to be protected the same way children do, but will also tell real people to die over something stupid and petty.
Fictional characters does have feelings... But their feelings are only relevant to the world they belong to, not the real world. That's how suspension of disbelief works. The problem with X-freaks is that they aren't able to suspend their disbelief when consuming fictional content, because they lack the maturity to do so. There are a number of reasons for this, but I think the main one is bad parenting, which makes sense, because we are talking about people that experiences reality mostly through the screen of a smartphone, computer or television.
Agreed. Spending almost every 24 hours on social media is our main concern. Therefore, this can lead to sudden development of mental health disorders, like Schizophrenia, ASPD, pathological paranoia etc. It's quite obvious that they never find true happiness in Cyberspace, instead of going outside to catch a breath of fresh air.
They did this with Batman right? An also, a cat drinking milk is only a fictional rule, if it's done in real life, The cat will get instantaneous diarrhea.
@@Just_a_random_who_likes_stuffAnd so as a dog drinking milk. (those are explicitly fictional boundaries. One done in real life, you're constantly penalizing yourself. Just like when a cat consumes milk irl, it's constant diarrhea. But in the fictional spectrum, there's no dire consequences.)
Let's just tell all those "pictures-can't-consent-to-be-drawn"-people that food can't consent to be eaten, hopefully then the problem will sort itself out after a month or so.
Here's my take on the ridiculous idea that since a drawing cannot concent, it is disgusting/immoral/criminal to sexualize it or be sexual aroused by it: Dildos, flesh lights, and sex dolls ALSO do not have the ability to consent. You don't hear about Adam and Eve's adult toys website being accuse of human trafficking.
I just saw someone say there's no difference between real-life murder and killing characters in video games so the level of insanity these days is really something special. Oddly enough, the people championing the rights of pixels and ink allow for a lot of messed up real life sht. It's the most curious thing.
@@josueveguilla9069 The Holocaust where they incinerated the jews which happens simultaneously during the WWII, then there's segregation involved happend in the 60s, which led a lot of civil war.
Fictional characters are treated BETTER than real people. These Twitterites will scream about "MAP rights" but then claim that 17-year old anime girls must be banned. They're completely fine with underage stuff, as long as it happens in real life.
Marques: You disrespect the characters feelings by sexualizing them! Me: But what if they want to be sexualized? Marques: *screech like a Twitter demon*
The comparison doesn't even make much sense. Since it's a deepfake. The acts aren't done by the person. The name itself is admitting that. Chun Li is not real at all.
@@FloraDArtCat From Google Dictionary: "a video of a person in which their face or body has been digitally altered so that they appear to be someone else, typically used maliciously or to spread false information." Can be used for anything, but commonly to make fake porn images and videos.
@@FloraDArtCat essentially, its an AI program designed to imitate the facial features of people, both real and imagined. It's very uncanny how accurate it gets.
by that logic, making a fictional character doing anything is assault because they don't consent to fighting or walking to the store or eating a ham sandwich
Alright, so then I guess "sexualized" women cannot exist in media anymore, full stop, mods aside. Bayonetta? Get rid of her, because her 'character' cannot possibly have "consented" to wearing what she wears, and her _female_ designer who made her that way should feel very ashamed of herself for violating her own character's nonexistent autonomy. God, I sure am glad I wasn't born a clinically insane person like 90% of Twitter users.
Twatter weirdos think anything remotely attractive in any way is seen as a problem. They glorify the most unappealing and unattractive characters to promote the fantasies in their heads.
Reminds me of when Zero Suit Samus was made separate from Samus for Sm4sh, she was given two alternate costumes that were more casual but showed more skin, as presented in the endings of the various Metroid games. It was a surprise for Sakurai and was the work of a woman.
look how I twist that logic: women IRL should never wear skimpy clothes because it's obvious that sexualizes them and appeal to *desgoosthang* patriarchal rules. Even if the woman in question wishes to wear skimpy clothes of her own volition, she will never be able to consent to every dude, since she can't always know who might see her that kind of BS reasoning is easy to break, you just think about it a little more and it all comes appart
Yeah and characters are also fictional it's like getting upset at me when I start pelvic thrusting the air saying,"the air doesn't consent and you're sexually harassing the air"
It's sad to see when people can't separate fiction and reality. On another note Baldur's Gate 3 has been really good so far. If you do end up getting it and have never played D&D 5e I'd recommend watching a video about how 5e mechanics work while it's downloading. It helped me understand how it plays and I've been having fun.
@@ZeldaGuy12345 I'm just laughing at the true statement you made lol no need to get so pressed At least it has bi rep - we don't get that enough Besides Hero Hei only got famous from talking shit - he's entertaining but he's never confronted anyone in real life that much I can tell "Woke" is a pejorative at this point anyways - "socially aware" would be a more accurate term since it represents certain people in various positions a lot better - more "true to life" as they'd say
Don't know about the fanart, but if I remember correctly, RE:Creators had some fictional characters kidnap their creators to write a better ending for them...
It’s sucks how the people who say they’re up to debating or discussing subjects online are so close minded.A lot of those who say something like “prove me wrong and I’ll admit I was” can’t accept that when they receive the facts that contradict whatever they believe. In person they’d crumble but behind a screen they can just dismiss what you said and do some mental gymnastics to explain how they’re still right. 🤦🏾♂️
This has utterly broke my brain. Why are people worried about the emotions of fake people that don't exist, but are so quick to disregard a person's right to live if they disagree on something as petty as pizza toppings or TV shows? I sincerely hope Twitter goes down, at least for a few days. Then maybe people can learn to vet their own thoughts again instead of just spewing out whatever diarrhea their brain comes up with in an out of touch stream of consciousness. Seriously, people will post every few minutes for 16 hours a day sometimes. Don't they have literally anything else to do?
It's sad to see people can't differentiate between real and fictional characters. When I was 5 playing grand theft auto my brother asked me: Do you think the people you are killing are real? And I simply responded with: No of course not this is a game they don't exist.
He's putting way too much effort into arguing with people who disagree with him for me to believe he's a troll... which is scary because that means he genuinely believes in what he's saying.
The guy could have easily had a somewhat reasonable point if Capcom used the likeness of real people as face models for SF6 (they might have, I don't know) and that might also be why Capcom is against nude mods in Resident Evil since they do kinda need to tell their face models "Modders likely will make a nude mod of this character with your face," which could impact their potential partners. Instead he went for the craziest take.
Because he just wants to virtue signal over nothing. Since you spoke about the nude mods, that makes sense not just because of the likeness of the actors, there was an actual issue with Resident Evil 2 remake having nude mods of Sherry who was a kid at the time
@@Ramsey276one Certainly true but it should probably be something that is discussed in the talent-seeking process. If, for nothing else, legal protections. There likely is a case to be made if someone is doing a project with your likeness in it and does not say that the project might lead to breaches in privacy akin to Blender porn that the actor could litigate against the company. It's just best practice to account for that, but being explicit about it might actually turn some people away from the contract. Just because seeing it in writing makes it more tangible than just knowing it's likely to happen.
You know what's funny these people are the same people that believe that their husbando and waifus are real and should be treated as such and they are even worse than those people
as an artist, i have every right over the "consent" of my original characters (OC) which i do not need permission for because they're mine to begin with. additionally western poison has no right to tell us what we can or cannot do when they dont even know the legalities or culture behind H and why fan-art and doujinshi's are perfectly allowed in every part of japans culture.
Well I guess if fictional characters can’t consent then it’s completely legal to use force. Finally someone validated my bondage and forced pleasure art collection.
You'd think that ability to distinguish fiction and reality is something common that you learn about the age 3 or 4. But looking at modern day... I get the impression that this is indeed an incredibly rare skill that basically equates to super-power at this stage.
Ok i know there was an issue with companies when rule34 artists where just ripping the characters code from the game itself. Which i kinda get. That being said the only thing, even those artists/modders agree on, is not to use the voice actors actual voice in it.
Reminds me of a reply to the idea the "stuffed in the fridge" trope. No matter if it's Gwen Stacy or Bruce Wayne's parents, these characters can be killed if the writer wants that. These things are concepts, not real people. You can't bring them down by objectifying them, because that is all they are at best.
As much as I really really want to think this is just trolling (although these days it really is becoming harder and harder to tell the difference between that and a real opinion.) I have to say if this is even slightly real and slightly genuine these are the people that will totally screw us by believing that AI deserves autonomy and personhood. These people would doom the entire human race in an instant just to be morally right on a platform that has shown more times than not nothing could be further from the truth.
Remember when suspension of disbelief was a thing? Fiction is not require to adhere to the real world. In fact, the purpose of fiction is get around the rules of the real world.
I support debating different opinions, it's just that, people really have to stop struggling to argue against ridiculous speeches like that lmao Like, you don't need to make an effort to argue against it, the speech itself already argues against itself as ridiculous as it is. Just make fun of this kind of people, save your energy to discuss and argue against important things.
I mention this before that I remember I had somewhat of a similar argument with somebody when I didn't agree to view fictional characters like they do, and I told them that I'll care when they proved that fictional characters are sentient. And, in order to win the argument, he straight up told me that they were. I just moved on from that because if someone is willing to believe that fictional characters have sentience then there's no real argument to have, because these people either have some serious mental problems or it's so important to "own" someone in an argument that they have to pretend to be clinically insane. They literally sound just like the politicians and media talkin about violent video games just to drum up attention or get you to care about their personal feelings. Oh and FYI, that image you scroll down to was an old h-game called Rapelay. It was the only h-game that I know of that was literally banned in some countries for living up to its namesake. I played it before and it was interesting, but there are far more h games out there with worst themes than that so it's mild in comparison. To all those reading this, you're welcome.
