The majority of the equation is consistency and progress. Your split doest really matter

Great advice 👍. The same advice has been given since the early 1900’s, but for some reason people want to listen to a scientific study instead of their own bodies. There’s no such thing as one best way to train and it will be different for everybody base on their ability to recover from the stress they put on their body.

Programming is an art form and something to be enjoyed. Learning the principles, being able to justify why you're doing something or things a particular way at that moment in time, and knowing when to stick or twist - all hugely rewarding imo.

You all are so close to 100 K! I've been hanging around 3D since like 14 when I was in college. It's awesome seeing how far you guys have gotten!

Now the question remains, why stop at 2 per session, why not spread it out as the first and only exercise per body part per day on a full body split?

If we are being real this might be the best split for most.

Is there a good video on building your own split ?

Based on John Meadows videos I had an idea about picking 2 maybe 3 exercises for each body part and training that body part as soon as when it's recovered from the last session. That would create some sort of split naturally, more accustumed to my recovery right? I often felt I could hit some muscles already but it was a leg day so I couldn't do arms or chest day but my traps were recovered etc Thanks for the video!

I considered the idea in principle, but it would be hard considering the overlap that might occur, e.g. you train triceps one day, next day your chest is recovered, now you gotta train bench with sore tris. And also requires you to be very flexible with when you attend the gym, and if 2 muscle groups recover the same day you still need to decide which one gets trained first, and if they are overlapping with one another. At that point you might just design a more rigid program that accounts for all of that beforehand

@@meos7574 It would make programming really hard, but mostly because of tricep and bicep overlapping with chest and back respectively, and only if you train them the day before, because there's zero problem with doing bicep the day after back or tricep the day after chest (unless you do a ton of presses on that day). Most bodybuilders have shifted to do Back with Hamstrings and Quads with Biceps for example, and that probably aligns better with the recovery of specific bodyparts, but it's true that you can't go without a plan and this requires the same amount of programming or even more than a PPL.

I've done this with calves and abs as they have little to no interference with other exercises.

who the heck cares which split you have... for real. you can get gains with a bro split or you can get gains with a upper lower or full body or chest back shoulders arms and no legs... it doesnt freaking matter. what matters is a reasonable amount of volume, progressive overload and most important NEVER CHANGE THE DAMN EXERCISES AND GET STRONG ON YOUR MAIN LIFTS... dont swap exercises and just stay on a few compounds and get strong at them. getting stronger is the most important thing...

Exactly. Think about running or doing a backflip. If you want to be the most efficient you can while running or doing backflips you just don't change to walking or doing frontflips all of a sudden. People just don't think logically. It's simple when you just use common sense and think about it for a while.

@@Borderbeach true!! How the heck can i measure progress if i dont stick to one damn plan for some longer time… atleast 8-10 months. Progress measurement is so important. All these videos are to confuse people. All splits work just do progress in exercises… like diet. All kinds of diet work just do a damn calorie deficit

You are absolutely ok. Things are simpler that people think. I only add the factor of time at the equation.
