JB4 vs BOOTMOD3 

You forgot the biggest difference is with bootmod3 its doesn't affect daily drive ability. It's a flash so it uses all the parameters necessary to make your car run better/ squeeze more out of it. The jb4 is just tricking your ecu into boosting more. Much more limited with the control and adjustments on the user and on the program side of things. Bm3 is just safer alternative imo.

Interesting, ive got an f56 s with the same engine just dialled back a bit as standard but with its stage 1 with supporting mods it’s a little animal and with the bms intake the induction noises are so much more pronounced than the bmw models. But yeah gr8 video guys👍🏻👍🏻

N55 here, JB4 is aight, it'll miscalculate once in a while, specially at higher altitudes. I often go from 11k ft to 5k ft, so I'll always get a check engine light mid way if I'm on map 1, map 5 was ok the one time I tried it. Went to 500ft above sea level once, and because my ECU was used to high altitude, when I enabled map 1, I got a crazy ass launch like I've never felt before on this car, but I did get a check engine light for the chassis. which JB cleared and never came back after a few launches. I just recently did an e85 mix, and kind of miscalculated it, had a quarter, added 8 gallons, thinking the rest would be around 4 gallons, but it ended up being 6. Anyways, went for a few pulls, and man, gotta love it! It definitely feels faster, specially on higher speeds, and it also keeps the engine way cooler, on normal driving, it'd be at half the gauge, but it's now at a quarter! Any ways, I may part ways with the JB4 and get a custom MHD tune with xHP in the future, but for now, I want MHD on my X5 as it's my daily lol

Got BM3 6 months ago and love it no issues

I think you guys failed to mention that Jb4 engine light popped up every time you drive the car with warning: Catless+downpipe air mass plausibility turner code, electric wastegate, stop learning, etc. I am running in JB4 for awhile and getting very tired of the warnings. I am considering Bootmod3. I have an F32. I have contacted Burger Tuning various time to get these issues fix. But I think it is mandated

Do the tunes on both the jb4 and bootmod3 affect afr’s as I believe factory is too lean. Do you have control over your afr’s with a custom tune on bootmod3?

Basically if you don’t want to void your warranty get the jb4 but if you don’t care bm3

Where did your boy get that cold air intake to go behind grille?

I’m currently running stage 1 BM3, I’m looking to switch to stage 2. so far I have AFE cold intake ER charge pipe ER catless downpipe MST turbo inlet an Remus axle back exhaust. Will I be able to switch to stage 2 from these mods or is an intercooler highly required?

Don’t do this unless you know what you’re doing. If you want a fast car get a 335-340 not a 328 gas saver. Not saying you can’t have fun in it, do your homework
