What are good jump ropes that are untangleable? My rope is always tangled and always hits me in the foot when jumping rope
@Jump15official
@Jump15official 2 года назад
Check out the description area in my videos. I love Crossrope as they don't tangle, are durable, and you can change rope weight. I also link Elite SRS as they provide a lot of good ropes at a very affordable price point.

I started jumping rope to condition for BMT. I leave April 9th. I only do Tuesday and Thursday for about 15-25 minutes. I just started last week. I noticed a slight achey/ soreness after yesterday’s session. It mostly went away by the next day. Is that normal or a shin splint? I can probably update in a few days about pain. It isn’t a bad pain, just like hitting chest at the gym and your chest and triceps are slightly sore for a few days.
@Jump15official
@Jump15official 4 месяца назад
Where is the soreness at? Rest, ice, stretch (when warm) and see how it goes. If it's just muscle soreness it will be gone in a day or so. If it re-aggravates after your next session give it a few days to a week to rest up and repair before testing again.

hi, I have just started skipping. Just wondering if you have any strengthening and healing exercises for intermetatarsal neuroma that I have between my 3rd and 4th toe. Really interested in increasing my skipping time, currently skipping every other day for 10 min. Many thanks
@Jump15official
@Jump15official 2 года назад
Try some toe spreaders. They are relatively inexpensive and can stretch out your foot ligaments and help promote healing.
@chooihuangtan1230
@chooihuangtan1230 2 года назад
@@Jump15official thanks very much for your response. Do you know generally how long it takes to heal using toe spreaders?
@Jump15official
@Jump15official 2 года назад
@@chooihuangtan1230 not sure. I would imagine it can differ based on the individual problem and what else you are doing to help (rest, ice, etc). You should see a podiatrist if there is no change in a week or two.

I've been doing jump rope for 30 min with 30 sec work and 10 sec rest of 3 sets with 1 min break between each set for the past 2 days with a 1 pound rooe. But today (3rd day) I have pain under my foot just within 5 min of workout. Is it normal? I have switched shoes but the pain still remains. I have never seen anyone complain of this during jump rope so far.
@Jump15official
@Jump15official 3 месяца назад
When starting out you have to start slow (5-10minute sessions) and build up gradually. I would rest your feet for a week and then revisit to see how it feels. If pain continues, I would see a doctor. Until then try to find a workout that doesn't bother your foot so you can keep moving forward. Hope you heal up fast! 🤙

do I do this exercise before jumping rope?
@Jump15official
@Jump15official 4 месяца назад
Stretching is always best done post workout when your muscles are warm. The tib raises can be done whenever, but probably best done post as well since you'll be working that muscle more.

i just stared rope jumping and my right foot and the very right side feels dislocated, it is not but the pain is strong when walking and doing activities, my calves are burning in pain i can barely walk, going down the stairs is a impossible task, today i decided to rest but 2 days ago i was just learning skip rhythm and all, day ago i did about 30-40 min just skipping over and over It was so addictive and wanted to learn it so fast, I actually managed to skip it for 2 min straight on my 2nd day of learning, today i decided to take a rest day... do you reccomend going back at it tomorrow or take a 2 3 days more rest, and how should approach this so I can lets say do this every other day for 2 weeks to not have pain in feet and calves, I want to be able to do it 5 -6 times a week for about 3min 15 rounds
@Jump15official
@Jump15official Год назад
Take a break, you're hitting it too hard too fast and it is a perfect recipe for injury. When you start up again in a few days set a timer for 10-15 minutes and stop at that point. Do that for a few sessions with at least a day rest between and then add 5 minutes and see how that goes. I know it's addicting. I made the same mistake when I started and had horrible shin splints 3 different times which held me back even longer. So take the short breaks now and gradually increase to slowly develop the stamina of jumping.🤙

@@Jump15official Thank you for response! Just to see if I get it: for example monday, I jump rope for 3 minutes, rest 1-2 minutes, repeat, and last session do a 4 minute skipping and that should be 10 minutes daily, one day rest in between, then repeat the same next day and so on for about 2 weeks, then slowly increase minutes and days until I'm able to do it 4-5 even 6 times a week
@Jump15official
@Jump15official Год назад
@@oldschoolbasketball8462 That's one way. I would actually recommend doing intervals. Grab a timer app like GymNext and do a traditional 20 seconds exercise/10 second rest Tabatas (8 rounds = 4 minutes) or 30/10 or 30/15. Then you have some short built in rests. Do 3-4 of these for a workout and even throw in bodyweight exercises to mix it up. You could also just do a 30/10 split for a total of 10 minutes. That app will help you break it out in different ways to change it up.if you download it let me know and I can share a timer with you to get you started 🤙

@@Jump15official Thank you so much! I will get it started wednesday, as I'm taking one more rest day tomorrow. Yes I usually do only calisthenics because as a former boxer gym weight training is taboo amongst us haha. I will do casually my pull up, push ups and other kinds od workouts routines, and throw in jump rope at the very end. I even heard as a beginner I should be doing it for only 3-5 minutes a day with 1 day rest, but I will go with your advice and furthermore just listen to my body and not overtrain. For your timer I'll hit you up as soon as I'm back on the track 🤙

You may just need to take a week off or so to let your body rest. You have to build up to jumping more. In the mean time if you can walk without discomfort stick to that and try to get 10-12000 steps in a day. If the pain persists I would see a doctor to make sure everything is ok. Hope you heal up fast my man🤜
