What an amazing juror! He’s proof that our jury system works. He was fair and thoughtful and dedicated. Nate, you conducted an excellent interview, asking all the questions I’d been wondering about. Thanks for all your hard work.
IKR? This gentleman, judging from this interview, is as close as one could come to a 'perfect juror '. He's so very thoughtful, curious, engaged, intelligent and highly perceptive. This was an enlightening perspective.
This juror was everything we could have asked for! He's smart, he thought each detail thru & took the job very seriously!!! Thank goodness for Americans like this!! Bravo! Great job!
Incredible interview Nate!! Saul, if you or your family happen to read these comments, I just want to say "Thank You" for demonstrating the highest level of integrity, professionalism, impartiality, and respect for our judicial system in your role as a juror. Whether you realize it or not, the mindset and commitment with which you approached your civic duty, set an excellent example for your fellow Americans who may one day find themselves impaneled on a jury. Our justice system relies on the integrity of people like you! I know this trial forced you to go through the horrific details of these heinous crimes and you are exhausted. I pray you get the rest you need and take good care of yourself moving forward, as you begin to process all the emotionally traumatizing information from the trial. You said you saw "The Face of Evil" in Lori and that's a lot to digest. Use the court resources afforded to jurors if needed please! God Bless you and yours~~
Amen 🙏🏻 very well said, he was a very respectful juror, I really respected they way they came to a conclusion not rushing and giving Lori her rights, (the monster of evil) as she deserved under the constitution. Unfortunately when you commit evil horrible acts then there is a price to pay, you don’t get to live your life dancing on a beach in Hawaii!
Thank you for expressing this so eloquently. Saul and any other jurors (including alternates) who may see this, thank you SO much for your time, attention, integrity, and diligence. We truly appreciate your service 👍💐
This is the 2nd juror we’ve heard from and both were stellar jurors. They really took their duty seriously & proved that the system works. We applaud all of them, appreciate what they’ve done and how much they sacrificed to bring justice to Charles, Tammy, Tylee & JJ.
Why am I emotional watching this? It’s so touching to see our Justice system actually protecting the victims!! This Juror represents the majority of us. It’s good to see!
For me, watching jurors makes me see the truth that the rest of the media doesn’t show us - that as a whole, we are good people. As a group, Americans can come together to thoughtfully attempt to impose justice. Jurors of different ethnicities, genders, religions and political backgrounds can work together and find agreement. The internet and the news (other than Nate) will tell us we can’t do that, but we can. ❤🇺🇸
Lisa, me, too. And I’m not sure why, either. This entire saga has been draining. Perhaps, with her guilty verdicts, we are relaxing our emotions a little, and crying is just cleansing the soul. ❤ The sound of the juror’s voice is quite nice, too. Two deeply-good men, we watched.
@@saltcitysunshine well said! you are so right! It’s not just the media but those in power and politics who want we the people, the public, the working class, to fight among each other so they can distract us from what they are doing, planning and plotting. There is power in numbers and they don’t want the American people to be United because we would be unstoppable against injustice!
From one Hernandez to another, thank you for helping to put this psychopath behind bars. So much respect. I know it was inconvenient to your life but you made a huge difference on that day that will never be forgotten.
We’re a blessed country to have citizens like this juror! Thank you for your willingness to serve for Justice. Job well done. Thank you Nate! Great interview
With Lori and Chad’s blatant disregard for the law of the land and basic humanity, I’m so impressed with the dedication and respect for her rights the jury gave. Such an intelligent and articulate person. I believe she received a fair trial. Thanks Nate!
By their diligence and respect for the laws and fairness, it will most definitely guarantee she will not get a retrial or a reversal. Just as the judge decided against TV in the court, it was truly smart, Lori can't play up to the TV and the attorneys can't claim a mistrial or anything else
She got a fair trial. This interview was very enlightening. Thank you, Juror #8 for sharing your perspectives! Thanks, Nate for more fantastic journalism... as usual! 🎉
This man impressed me. To be so thoughtful and open minded under such conditions. We are lucky to have a judicial system that allows us to be judged by our peers -especially peers like this gentleman.
Isn’t it odd, but after following this case since the children were missing, and having to face real evil, I come through this now feeling more optimistic and positive about humanity in general. I think the people like Nate and the jurors are the heart of humanity and the evil is still newsworthy because it isn’t the norm.
@@murphy1011I hear that too, even from a family member. "Whats this world coming to!?!" It's been full of these bad people forever but we didn't always have cell phones and 24 hour coverage g news
@@murphy1011 I believe that before instant, world wide news, people heard more local news. I think that empowers people more because you can make a dinner, or rebuild a house, or hold a hand or babysit or do something real to really help. When what you hear is across the world you feel powerless even if you are not.
So true. I've lived in 5 countries and the majority of people from different cultures and religious beliefs are decent and want the same for their families as any of us.
What a decent, DECENT human being this juror guy is! Someone raised him right! Thank you for your willingness and graciousness! May your family hold on tight to you in love and thankfulness!
Imagine sitting as a juror in a case such as this. Witnessing horrific evidence and yet unable to discuss how much of an impact this had on you. Unbearable I think
Oh wow. This juror got a great read on Lori and she didn’t even take the stand. I don’t think all jurors are of this caliber. I thank him for his service.
I have served on several juries over the years and I always say that the process is a very positive experience and gives you confidence in our fellow citizens who all work hard to do the right thing and take their responsibility very seriously. This juror is a great example and gives an articulate description of the process. Thank you for this interview!
I am very impressed with the thoughtful manner that this juror took in his words, not wanting to be offensive to family, but yet at the same time express how seriously he took his duty and the case, and all the evidence the jurors were presented with. I appreciate the articulate manner in which he talks, knowing that no matter what they decide, people are going to suffer loss, and are going to be hurt because they still love their family member. Truly must have been difficult to do, however we're so lucky to have folks like this young man who step up and do what must be done. Thank you sir, for your service to your community and our democracy.
That was a masterful and comprehensive interview Nate. Thank you! The juror is erudite, thoughtful and respectful of all parties and the justice system. Kudos to you both. I appreciated the juror's description of Lori as the face of true evil too. That's exactly what I thought throughout the trial.
what a thoughtful, intelligent, fair-minded individual Saul is. . And I'm so impressed by the interview itself - how things were worded, not sensationalized but respectful and that's why I keep tuning back in.
So honored to hear this jurors thought process . Such an intelligent thoughtful deep thinking human and I feel he was a perfect choice for a juror. Fair no matter what the charges were, he really gave her a fair shot. Thank you for your service. We all appreciate you so much
Nate is such a great reporter! He always comes prepared with thoughtful questions and not just fluff like some others. A true class act! And this juror is great- I’m always so nervous when cases I’ve been following go to trial and you KNOW in your soul they are guilty but you know the jury won’t get to see everything we’ve seen and there are always some people that just look at things differently and can be stubborn or want to be different, but this guy is great. Thoughtful, intelligent, respectful of our legal system and wanted to do the right thing.
Such an Articulate, intelligent Juror. He took his responsibilities very seriously. This is the second Juror that I have heard speak and it gives you the faith that they all came to the same conclusion, which brought about the Guilty Verdict. Thanks Nate for bringing us this Interview. For all of your hard work during this trial. We Thankyou.
I want to say a special thanks to Saul, for giving us an idea of what happened during the deliberations. He did an excellent job giving us a look behind the scenes….I’ve often said, if I could only be a fly 🪰 on the wall in the deliberation room and I feel as though I got an idea of what went on. I’ve followed this case from the beginning, I’ve read blogs about the case, watched numerous RU-vid videos and documentaries and of course, followed Nate’s reporting with East Idaho News. I will continue to follow the other trials involving Lori and Chad. I also have to say, I do hope that one day, the co-conspirators like Melanie Gibb, David (Melanie G’s husband), Melanie P., Zulema, Audrey, etc, will one day end up next to Lori, in their own cell. A big thank you to Nate, as always, you did an excellent job with this interview! I was surprised to hear from Saul that this is his 3rd time being selected for a jury. One interesting thing I heard was the description of Lori given by Saul….. ”She’s the face of evil”.
Thank you sir for your service...we are very proud of you and your fellow jurors...May God bless and help each one of you heal from what all y'all saw .. and heard ...such a horrible case
Oh this juror read her like a book and it’s almost exactly how I see things and feel. I have always said Lori believes she really is a goddess , a powerful being better than the rest of us.
It will take her years to move out of t hat delusion if she ever does. Death will be a huge shock to her, huge shock! Especially if she continues in her belief.
The main thing about jury duty that needs to change is the state or county needs to pay the salaries these jurors are forfeiting by taking time off work. Many people can't afford to do this and my job wouldn't cover my wages.
You are amazing and so skilled at your art! The whole interview gave me chills!! I want to thank the juror and jury! What a way to wrap the whole process! Also thank you Nate and East Idaho News!
Such an incredible man! Thank you, Saul for serving YET AGAIN on a jury and especially for the professionalism and hard work you put into this particular case. Thank you for being the voice of Justice for Tylee, JJ and Tammy. Great video, Nate, thank you!
I’m so impressed with this guy. I could tell he really wanted to give Lori a chance to prove she didn’t do these crimes. I wonder if she was always so emotionally cold. It’s like both jurors that I saw interviewed, just wanted to see some emotion from her. And there was nothing. Like he said, he saw real evil for the first time. Chilling. Thanks, Nate, for the great reporting. I’m a lifetime subscriber now!
_Lori's cousin told in an interview how Lori, when she was about 15, was driving at night with a boyfriend of hers and a cat was walking across the street...the boyfiend said to Lori he is going to try and run the cat over...which he proceeded to do. The cousin said Lori was NOT FASED AT ALL and continued to laugh and chat as if nothing had happened. We all know the first sign of being a psychopath as a child is cruelty to animals. I rest my case._
When I heard her cousin tell this story about their double date, I knew then that she was a psychopath and it was only a matter of time before she killed.
I respect Nate so much. He asks a question and allows the person to answer fully before responding, without interruption. Oprah could learn something from Nate.
Thank you Saul for giving us your prospective on being a juror in this case! Your service on this case was much appreciated & I am thankful you were open & honest about your thoughts/opinions & the process to come to a conclusion!
This juror is a sharp cookie. Very impressed with his articulation and his processing of evidence. I have the utmost respect for him and the responsibility he took to the job at hand.
I clicked so fast can't wait to watch! Wow! This was so good. Nate you are so talented at interviewing, your natural curiosity of people really lends itself to allowing the interviewed to answer open and honestly. I was hanging on to every word this juror said. When he said he saw true evil for the first time my jaw hit the ground...I can't imagine sitting there across from her as I learn the full picture of what she was involved in. The other interesting thing he said was about the Phoenix police and how they missed so many red flags before the murder and after,I have wondered about that same thing many times.
I’ve now listened to 2 jurors. I applaud them for their intelligence and careful consideration of the evidence. I’m very impressed with Idaho citizens. This does not give me faith in juries in other states. Looking at you Florida. 🥺
Are you talking shit about Casey Anthony jurors...I used to be like you back in the day. Mad that the jury didnt vote guilty like the public demanded they do. But then I realized, in that trial, there was SOO much doubt introduced...there were so many lies, especially all the lies George Anthony told...that made the jurors stop and say "WAIT...why IS George lying so much? could it possibly be true that Caylee drowned and George helped get rid of her?" And the jurors did the right thing legally, if there is doubt beyond the reasonable threshold, you CANNOT say guilty. This case is nothing like Casey Anthony case at all. There is no doubt whatsoever in this one. Don't compare different trials with this one.
Nate, thank you for all of your amazing coverage and continued coverage after the verdict! It's all just been so fascinating and I really appreciate you filling in the holes and gaps where we have questions! Amazing job you have done through this whole trial, thank you again so very very much it is very appreciated all of your hard work!! 🙌👌👍👏
This juror is so well spoken regarding his observations. He used his sensible reasoning while processing so much information presented during the case. His community is lucky to have him serve. And this is his third time! 👏 👏
Saul is an impressive man. I appreciate what he put into the process and his commitment to the seriousness of it. I am a judicial assistant and work with jurors all the time. Most people that are selected feel exactly the same as him. In the beginning you dread it but before too long you realize the importance and you accept it and do a great job. Every juror I've ever spoken to says they are glad they did it. Cheers to Saul for giving us some insight!
The one time I sat of a jury, one just kept saying "Can we just hurry up, I have to be to work in the morning." I just kept thinking, what if this was one of your family members trying to get a fair trial. He is a great example of what a jury should be.
Oh that ain’t good a jury member not invested, here in the uk if you are called for jury duty your work place is obliged to give you that time off with full pay
R.I P Tammy,Tylee and J.J 😢 Great interview and thank you for speaking about and sharing what it was like to be on the jury for such a huge case !! Great insight . Nate u rock .....Philly Pa, here 😎.
I, too, have listened to 2 jurors now and am so impressed and proud of how they have represented the public in the justice system. Nate, you have got to be the most personable journalist I have ever seen! This interview felt like friends chatting, where the other juror interview I watched was just that, an interview. I greatly appreciate your style! Keep up the great work!
