Players like Michael Jordan and Larry bird were phenomenal the way they could will themselves to play hurt or sick. Jordan had his flu game Larry bird had that shoot out with Wilkins while having bronchial pneumonia.another reason Michael Jordan and Larry bird are my all time favorites

Thats one thing people need to understand....basketball iq. Jordan had better iq than all the new players combined. Its such an overlooked skill in basketball. His basketball iq is out of this world. And to do it when being mugged at the rim 80% of the time is leaps and bounds above any newer players. There never was a debate about the best because Jordan IS the BEST.

Jordan literally had more offensive rebounds than LeBron up until a few months ago, not to mention Jordan recorded 100-167 offensive rebounds for 10 out of his 13 full seasons!

That's not gonna work? I've seen Bron being defended by little guards in the post and instead of being aggressive he waits for the double to kick out. In this case B-Russ had to help Hornacek in the paint against the taller Pippen so Stockton was the rotating head. John had a good contest but we are talking about Black Jesus.

He ordered pizza. When he answered the door. He said there was 4 guys at his hotel door.. they wanted to see him. He said he didn't let anyone eat his pizza either because he was really hungry. But the 4 guys to deliver the pizza made him think something could have been fishy. P.S. Byron Russell doin ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to stop Jordan, but Jordan allegedly pushed off. 😂😂😂😂

The 2 seasons that they lost to CHI in the Finals, they won 55 and 64 games, respectively. Teams that suck don't win their respective Conf AND make the finals 2 years in a row. They regularly beat and dismantled ALL of the more athletic, high-flying players/teams with their disciplined, methodical style of play. In the ‘98 playoffs alone they beat: *Duncan & Robinson (SAN)* *Hakeem, Barkley & Drexler (HOU)* *Shaq & Kobe (LAL)* ← LA had 4 All Stars that season Just to get to the finals 😐

Guys like Stockton, Isiah Thomas and Kevin Johnson were really good defenders, but they were short, so unless they are covering another short guard 1v1, their on ball defense won't be so impactful. However, they were great help defenders, also forced a lot of turnovers. That being said, Stockton shouldn't be covering Jordan 1v1 in a clutch situation like that. He only did so because of Russell's bad decision of double teaming Pippen and leaving Jordan open. Russell didn't have a great defensive IQ, but he was a decent defender, also because of his size and athleticism.

There was actually defense. Players got open by running actual offenses, like the triple post. Today they just run down and go to the corners while watching their so called star players shoot. How many times have you seen a point guard drive the ball down the court, not even look at his team mates and force up a shot? The game surely has changed, "playground," basketball at it's best! They might as well call "next," after every game!

The truth! Years ago the wifey and I drove from Phoenix, AZ to Huntington Beach, CA and on our way we stopped to have lunch at McDonalds in Quartzsite. We both had the same meal and had food poisoning. We were in bed soon as we got to our destination and stayed in bed till the following day.

Did you just say John Stockton Off the Bench just to let you know John Stockton has over 15,000 assists he's the all-time assist leader, and to say no defense,, your talking about the 90's when defense was actually stressed, No now the league there is soft defense,, you can't make statements about how good or vice-versa off of highlight videos, I get it your young ,,but if want to learn about how tough the NBA was at that time watch Pistons vs Lakers, or Pistons -bulls conference finals , not highlights but full games and I think your opinion will change, , but I commend you for trying to learn about the leagues past and the games great players not from this generation

MJ scored 38 leading his team to victory with food poisoning. LeChoke Steroid couldn't finish an NBA Finals game because it was too hot in the arena for him. That's the difference between champs and chumps. Today's soft AF players wouldn't last in the 80's and 90's. Taking games off for "rest"???? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
