(we did not) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Spare ribs. If you use baby back ribs only cook for 2 hours. Remove from oven. Open foil and drain liquid. Cover ribs in BBQ sauce. Broil on hi for 5 minutes not covered. Remove from oven, let stand for 5 minutes. Fall off the bone delicious ribs. Enjoy.
hi Joe and Melissa, these bbq ribs are the next thing on my to do list to make. I love ribsand I too always used a dry rub. I am going to try your recipe looks inviting and delicious too.
cool, i have 2 racks of baby backs in the freezer. Never tried the foil wrap method before. I've done the slow back in pan on a rack with water under covered with loose foil method for 3 or 4 hrs. then broil to brown. It does work. this looks a bit easier and tastier cooking them in their own fat. I'll be trying. Thanx for sharing.
I do try to pull some of the membrane off and it's really not that hard but not an absolute must. It will melt away on a slow cook and provide the liquid in this recipe obviously.
I made this tonight and it was just as you said, fallin off the bone tender. The rub was just right, and made the house smell so good. Just so easy and tasted great.
Fall off the bone and fork tender, that’s what I’m talking about! Thanks a lot, Joe, I think I’ve gained about 26.72 lbs just from watching these videos since you and Melissa started this channel! 🤤😂 Praying for everyone’s safety during these uncertain times. 🙏🏻
Lookin' good! Here is another bbq sauce you could try! BBQ APRICOT SAUCE 1 16oz jar apricot jam 1/3 cup soy sauce 1/4 cup brown sugar 1 tsp. garlic powder 1 tsp. oregano 1/3 cup bbq sauce Mix all ingreds together. Brush on pork ribs. Broil 5 minutes. Enjoy!😁
My favorite thing is country-style ribs, smothered in my favorite BBQ sauce and baked at 295 until tender. Will have to try and do ribs from this recipe!
Beef is way to expensive here in South Australia i often feel like going next door to borrow a cow maybe leave the gate open pretend it went walk about 😁
You will get a better char if you raise the oven rack higher. Depends on what you are going for, but I Broil ribs on high with the rack on the second from the top position.
I do my ribs for a hour in a half in the foil and an hour half out of the foil the ribs will be really tender off the bone but still have a good texture to them
I normally boil it for at least 1-2hours. Then The stock for save for cooking. The meat and bones out. Then put in tray marinate for BBQ for quick one few mins top and bottom or oven bake for 20 mins or so.. for smokey or crispy outer. so beautiful... It's still moist.inside and off the bones.. did the same with chickens.. So beautiful as no wastage .. got the stocks and the meat cooks beautifully and not dry.. Also when doing for BBQ for guests ...it was so easy pre cooked in the oven cover with foil. Then marinates and when guests arrives just grill for BBQ effect.. Everyone got to eat without having to wait.yhe meat stocks I cook with rice or noodles or pastas etc..
The beauty of cooking ribs and butts this way... is its forgiving enough so you can play around with seasonings and really not mess it up, till you find exactly what you like. For me I replace the chili powder with more brown sugar and add the cayenne. Cayenne, used properly, adds background flavor. But still, awesome job.
Hello Joe & Mellisa , I Live in Burlington Ontario Canada , OMG I made Those Ribs this past weekend 1st off Joe I see why you wrap them twice in Tin Foil LOL 2nd I Cannot Believe you cheated on your Filet Knife & Liked it LOL ,You've literally got me using a Filet knife now (no one else is allowed to use it) Guys those were the BEST RIBS I've Ever Made I pulled the bones right out , as you did Joe I did half with BBQ Sauce I prefered it with the Rub only they were sweet beautiful ribs so tasty & juicy Thank You so very Much for sharing this recipe I can't wait to make this for my freinds eventually , Hope all your Families are safe & Well Thank You Again.
You should add in a rooster crow in the beginning of the videos. 😊Those ribs look FABULOUS! Thanks for the recipe, and bless you both, and all the furanimals! 💖 Washington State USA🌲
Sensational! Look so good😋! I am a BBQ nut! I love extra sauce on the side as well as on the ribs. My hubby enjoys, his ribs with no sauce. I was glad to see how you solved that problem for you and Melissa. The more the sauce the better for me. I put it on fried, baked or boiled as well. Fried Pork chops is my favorite glazed with BBQ sauce. Fried Chicken soaked and swimming in BBQ sauce I get to eat most often. TMI... During the winter we add a few drops of smoke in the bottle for that grill taste. Mayo will also, make the meat slide right off the bone. 🍖 The presentation will be messy tho, lol! Your ribs are perfect. Great job! This time. Melissa tested 😋 Melissa APPROVES. 👏👏👏👌
This looks delicious. I will be making it. I've cooked alot of recipes yall have made and they all was delicious. I wonder if joe would show us how to make his sloppy Joe's from scratch. Thank yall for all the awesome videos and recipes. Yall take care and be safe
Thank you Joe and Melissa, tried your recipe and once again, the ribs were a big hit at my house. Please keep them coming. Do you cook with hot spice? if so, we would love to try some of your recipes.
Joe that brown sugar chili powder rub is so good when you smoke them I use the same rib rub recipe for my business the only difference is instead of using the onion powder I use black pepper
Now you got me wantin ribs🙄 and I am not going out.....maybe🤣🤣🤣. They looked really good. Might have these for Easter if for some reason I have to go out. Tyfs God bless you
I made your shrimp with cheese, turkey bacon for me and it was something I will make again it was great. I wanted to ask you all if you have seen or heard of more wild animals around your town of on Joe's yard cams. Here we are seeing coyotes in city limits downtown. : ) peace and good health to all.
A neighbor sent me a text Saturday letting me know a cougar had just crossed the road onto our land. I didn't see him but they did...about a month ago there was a wolf out here but again I didn't see him. :(
@@astheroostercrows6435 Good thing your chickens are still indoors. With any luck you won't see them and maybe the trail cam did and they are long gone. I hope 'no ears' didn't see them either. I watched some vlogs w/the animals taking over neighborhoods and it's pretty wild out there. : ) peace
I’ve been trying to cook nice meals for my family of late because we all home as a family 24/7. I’m using crockpot a lot, the meat regardless of what I make seems to cook so fast and be dry? Even on low. I made a 3 lb roast in crockpot on low and it was rock hard and dry in only 4 hrs!HELP ME MÉLISSA
Sounds like you didn't add any liquid . Try adding 1-2 cups of water when you put the roast in the crook pot. I also like to mix one package of dry onion soup mix with 1 1/2 cups of water and pour over the top. Mine always comes over moist and tender or maybe you need a new crook pot.
