I’ll be the first to admit I always did the chasing with my ex. Time and time again I wouldn’t think twice about throwing my dignity away just to be with him. Stupid, yes, but it did teach me a very valuable lesson: What’s easily given is easily taken for granted. When we split for the final time, it was extremely difficult not to reach out, but I knew I needed to improve of my self-worth and having him in my life would only hinder my progress. Sometimes it’s not about letting them go to get them back; it can and often should be about letting them go to get YOU back. It took me a long time to understand my value, but I’m glad I exchanged him for me. No regrets.

Trust me , its better to let it go. If she has leave you once, she wouldn't hesitate again.

People need to stop running from problems. It's like they're running from themselves. If you run from the relationship, you're still taking yourself with you, so you'll see the same or other problems, and then run from those., and you haven't learned how to solve problems so you'll have problems all over again and then you run from relationship to relationship. Breaking up is not worth it. It wastes time and energy when you could have spent that time building something great. You could have looked back with pride in what you built together. You could have a legacy, family-wise and financially. You could have been a well-respected pillar in the community. You could have had stable children who followed in your footsteps. I mean, seriously. Be a courageous, strong, focused man or woman. Don't throw out what's broken. Fix it, take care of it, and value it.

It is often just about our ego. How many people wished their exes came back, to get the relationship to start all over again. This is the effect of rejection. But how many can tell, that, once the ex actually came back, they rejected them. They don't want them. They just needed to feel empowered again and see the light! Ego boost!

My man!!!! I'm going on week two of break up. We still talk a bit but I feel I'm moving on. My self worth has jumped with self growth and focusing back on my passions, vision, mission, core values. She messages I just have other shit to do now. Working full time, working out, building MY budgetting and I feel its the hardest thing. One thing that helped was these vids and my support network. First I go through a protest period...after having been conditioned to enjoying time on a regular basis and then there’s that shift...that’s when I feel like huh what and I give faire warning that what for me interested if I go without the nurturing that got me interested in the first place...if it continues I do finally give up...now I’m bummed out and it’s like my own bubble bursts. If he doesn’t restore things soon after my detaching gets to the point where by the time they do come back I’m fine with the wind. It kills it for me.

Broke no contact after 7 months, I feel like a fool man.

My ex broke up with me 3 weeks ago in the weirdest fashion. It started with a text about ending the relationship and that she wasn't ready for one. Then followed up with some angry texts accusing me of ridiculous stuff. I called her out on the later part but she then sent angrier texts telling me to leave her alone. Was blocking me, etc. I stopped replying right there. Three days later, sends another text accusing me of stealing 60 dollars from her (which is bogus) and to pay her back. I didn't reply to that either. Even if she does want to reconnect in the future, I'm not so sure about her mental state.

So I told my ex I don't want her as a friend that I'm only interested in her in a romantic way that friends isn't an option all she said was OK...now what?

One tip for dudes ☝️ if she wants to emotionally connect do it or tell her you can’t and leave. Don’t breadcrumb or string along.

They will do all the necessary to take her to parties, meeting new people.... I'm now in NC for 1 1/2 months... we still have our business to clarify.. but she obviously lives in La La Land... 9 years for nothing and here we are in our mid 30's single again

If they broke up with you and keep contacting you post break-up, I don’t think they even deserve the courtesy of you kindly asking them to stop contacting you. You just need to stop responding to them - I think that silence speaks volumes in terms of you being able to break away from them. You asking them to stop contacting you somewhat makes it seem as if you two keeping in contact is up to them and as long as they keep contacting you, contact will still be alive. You, as the dumpee, need to take control and stop giving them the time of day; stop responding to them if they keep reaching out. They’ll be a lot more shook once they see that they can’t/don’t generate responses from you anymore. Once they see that, they’ll be able to reflect more clearly once you make your absence felt with your silence.
