i could almost see Dire's pure inocent hapiness on he's face when he said 'i made this' while looking at the card holder. :D It's great when something works :) Keep making great things Dire!
Classic Dire. Complains about endermen ruining his mob farm, doesn't realize that they teleport out, and doesn't read that he could mitigate that problem with a little block that stops endermen from teleporting out of his aforementioned mob farm.
Dire, you should put an anchor upgrade in your digital miner so it automatically chunk loads without you having to go into the map every time you move it
@@WombatMatt There's smooth quartz blocks up and down the show. Enrichment chamber turns them into normal blocks of quartz. Then there's any number of ways to turn them back into pieces of quartz, the simplest being to shove them into a compacting drawer.
Hello Direwolf. I don't know how far ahead you are about playing and posting episodes, so i hope what i'll say won't come too late. In Mekanism, there is an upgrade called "anchor upgrade" which loads the chunk the machine is in; the Digital miner accepts this upgrade. Then you won't need to go by FTB's map chunk unloading / reloading process.
IMPORTANT!! There is a way to hide Refined Storage cables! To make a cover the recipe is 1 iron nugget and the block you want make 6 covers. To make a hollow cover, just put the cover back into the crafting table.
I'm just curious how long it's going to take Dire to realize his boots are missing. They got knocked off of him by one of those nasty skeletons just as he was leaving the nether.
That opening was a joy. Overpowered neatherite acquisition, taunting ghasts, and the laughter from acquiring exactly a stack. "It's me, direwolf20" new favourite quote.
Recommended: name the network card in an anvil to what it’s for (like mob farm, charcoal farm ect) early on, cuts the guesswork of which card goes to what 😁
A quick melter from tinkers near the mob farm to melt down any armor into iron/gold/diamond wouldn't be a bad idea. It is quick to set up and would handle all the misc trash coming out of the spawner. Laser IO could use the tag filter to insert any armor by filtering for the armor tag
For the fluid extractors, I setup 2 tanks. 1 tank to feed the latex processor and the other connected to an external storage for machine frame creation
@Quietust I split the output so that I can stock plastic in advance. I have no desire to wait every time I want some. Though you could probably just set up a system to keep 32 or so in stock fairly easily Dire did the create on demand for one series and it drove me crazy. Added 1-2 minutes everytime he did a Foregoing craft.
I assume that the logs don't hold any info when broken so you could set up a break and replace system. every so often and swap out the log with a new one before the extractors break the log
16:15 You know what needs to be a mod? Replacing the portal sound effect with the old Batman scene change fanfare. Maybe it already is a mod, actually. But it's not a mod I've heard of, so. Subjectively speaking, my point is still relevant.
@5:27 LOL I can just hear the gears grinding to a halt in Dire's head. Also, all the grass blocks in the botania room. Those endermen are absolutely barbaric.
for signage, Pneumaticcraft has that Aphorism Tile which is pretty decent, or there's the screen + Text module from RFTools for a different kind of fancy
you may want to place a destructor (or whatever its called) opposite the constructor. because the fluid extractors convert the log to a stripped log before destroying it, and the stripped logs produce like half as much latex per operation.
@@NuttyBuckeye629 yea but just to tell other people because I don't think he ever mentioned it and he's probably quarrying it with his builder and it's farmable with his wither skeletons much faster than his tree farm
27:53 now, considering you have more than enough power, and needed quartz, I'd have set that miner to Silk Touch the ores, and then tossed them into the Enrichment Chamber for bonus quartz - same with redstone ore. you get like 12 per ore block vs whatever you get mining
It doesn't really matter when you have a mining dimension with super high ore density. You don't need efficiency when you have a massive supply of ore to work with
alchemy catalyst is one of the early items I push for because of its ability to convert rotten flesh into leather. leather for days. everything else is secondary to that
I think you should do a play-through with all your builds inside compact machines. I say this because you basically already do something similar, with stuffing everything into your basement walls. Doing everything inside compact machines would allow you to have your entire modpack base inside your starting 9x9 house. It would also be a bit different and have a few design challenges both in production of things that are usually done in huge buildings (like power), and also a slightly different logistics problem. Also this way you might only feel obligated to have 1 aesthetically nice room. Maybe also with a self imposed limitation of no wireless logistics (or only laser io with wired AE/RS)? Something like that might be a bit different and refreshing from the standard playstyle.
I always stick mufflers in, some noises can be triggering my ASD if I hear it for long enough, and rather not go through an episode, thanks ;) . That smelter one is especially bad.
@@CarpathiaS i know that it's supposed to be inside the config folder, but where exactly is this located at? i've been searching the files and cant find anything related to chunk loading
@@DJ3thenew23 Nah I was mostly meming. It does feel cheesy to fly around with zero cares in the world though. It's the equivalent of the cheat command minus the fact that technically the resources are missing.
