I think most men will be fine with a 4" belt, but if you're on the shorter side (or female), a 3" belt might be preferable.

Great video. I feel that Inzer belts do have an overlap, they just don't mention it on their website. I had a medium 10mm lever belt, and it seemed to fit between 28" waist, all the way to a 38" waist. But, over this summer, I switched to a prong belt. I didn't like the overlap that the lever belt cam with. The prong seems to fit more evenly over my abdomen.
@BasementBrandon
@BasementBrandon 8 лет назад
I agree, they fit like a range of 10 sizes or so, however their website is very confusing to people as it's not disclosed.

I have a 10 mm double prong, and you sure are right about it being difficult to open, the first time I got it on, it took me about 5 minutes to take off again.. Now that it's broken in, it opens easily though. The quality is great, and it was extremely cheap, the only problem was that it was sold out on the size I needed, so got one that was too big, so had to make extra holes to make it fit me. Works just as well, just looks stupid to have half the belt hanging out.

@BasementBrandon
@BasementBrandon 5 лет назад
Haven't had to clean mine, but my friend from Pioneer suggests the following: "If it is treated and/or dyed, I would suggest using the Bick 4 once or twice a year. For a suede belt, the Gard-More acts like a Scotch Guard protecting your belt and the Suede cleaner is self explanatory and works great."

i just bought a rdx 4" belt with a lever. it's a little tough to take off, as the hooks tend to stay hard in the holes, but it looks pretty good. i'm going to try it tonight. only thing, i like to squat very low, atg in the hole, and it's a little unconfortable under my rib cage at the very bottom of my squat. maybe it will get easier later on.

Hey Brandon, how much of a difference is there between using one of the regular harbinger belts provided at some commercial gyms and the 10mm forever lever inzer belt? I'm expecting my inzer belt to arrive soon and am curious as to whether or not I'll be able to squat a little more(maybe 5-10lbs more on working sets) now that I'm upgrading to a real belt. Hey Brandon, Great video. I had one more question and could not find the answer skimming through the comments. I am looking at a belt by Harbinger and there is an option for size between either 4 or 6 inches. What would you recommend or what is the difference or benefit between a wider or more narrow belt? Thanks!
@BasementBrandon
@BasementBrandon 7 лет назад
The thought behind that is that a wider belt would provide more support, however in reality the belt is something you should be using to push out against yourself, so the taper isn't really too necessary.

I bought a 1 prong 10mm fron pioneer. I can't recommend it enough. It took less than 5 days to get in my hands.

Nice dude! Custom or plain?

+Brandon Campbell i went with a plain belt... I can't come up with a creative design that I will like for my remaining lifting years.. I know I suck. How is that shoulder doing btw?

Hah trust me it was hard for me too, plus if I trained in a commercial gym I'd probably feel weird wearing it.

You can get a 6.5mm from Pioneer

I'm greedy.. Prong & Lever in one. I love my Wahlanders belt! P. S - While I got the couple of jokes, I enjoyed the style of this video my friend

Does simply sitting and walking around at home or in the office with the belt on, help break it in?
@BasementBrandon
@BasementBrandon 8 лет назад
It can if you're actively flexing into it. Try wearing it on the pooper.

Don't know if anyone asked yet but are you thinking of getting a ST belt or that new SBD belt that's coming out?
@pritulaag
@pritulaag 8 лет назад
from what I've heard, the STrong belts aren't very good quality (I've personally never seen, or felt one, so take this with a grain of salt). The SBD belt is just way too expensive for anyone buying a belt for a first time. Stick with Inzer, Pioneer, or Best Belts. Once you know you truly need an SBD belt, or want to try the STrong belt, go ahead with it then.

Thanks bro I have an inzer my self but was just wondering because Brandon usually gets all the hot new gear. Bummer for the STrong belt if that's true. Specially for 120$

Right now not planning on getting either. However I wouldn't say no if someone offered to send me one... :)

Do you suggest a 3” or 4” belt to start?

I think 4" is the standard.

If I take my belt somewhere can I have custom lettering stitched on it without compromising its structure? I have a black inzer and feel it is kind of boring
@BasementBrandon

Dalton White don't think so. All the custom work is usually done on the suede before it's then sewn onto the leather.
