The judges initial statement was really good.

My problem with the best piece of testimony Erin has here where she calls Karen and Karen says John is dead before she should've known, they will need to show phone recordings including a timelog on that call. Because as Auntie Bev instructed, what Karen said according to a witness is not evidence, but just for the purposes of relating certain people and situations to each other and building that context. As of the part of whether Karen actually said that or not is hearsay at this point. If I was a juror I'd discard that whole phonecall unless I get to hear it because I can tell you anything anyone said on a phonecall it's going to be a he said she said whether they did or not, that's not evidence.

Remember that judgement before hearing all the FACTS is NOT what we do in a trial.

Idk about Erin's cry. I mean it's definitely not standard crying that's for sure. But you gotta remember we're not on trial to see IF John died, we're on trial to see if Karen caused that to happen. So there is actual grief in her for a fact, and RBF does exist and she sure does seem to be suffering from it as well. Though what does puzzle me a bit is if she's holding back tears, I wouldn't be able to recover that quickly that's a bit odd as well. But anyway yea I mean the fact is there is actual grief to have tears about so I don't think it's fair to go around saying she's faking it over a single situation.
