Go to survivortohero... to download the HoS and HoSaM config files for the Logitech 3D Extreme Pro. You may purchase the stick directly from Logitech or other retailers. We make no money off any purchases.
This video will walk you through the setup and thought processes for the setup. These are the simple highly functional mappings that hopefully will withstand the test of time (new patches), more easily. Current patch at time of recording is 3.17.4
This joystick is the most budget friendly one I am aware of, as a $35USD Joystick, from Logitech, that works for Star Citizen. www.logitechg....
Special Note: Sorry it is such a long video. I would suggest to put it on in the background if you want to know more about the configs, or fast forward and pause the areas that are most relevant to you.

Just found the video. Ive been using HoSaM for SC for years now. I use the Extreme Pro in left hand and Logitech trackball in my right hand. Very immersive and accurate for me.

Maybe a config file or program to apply all of these settings would be useful? An updated video would be cool at launch of the game with a quick 2 minute guide with CFG or some sort of application script to edit it.

been usign the logitech extreme 3d pro as my HOSAM setup, had to 3D print a left hand stick for it, that was a pain in the bum but works so far. You can be a dam good fighter pilot with this thing if you're willing to practice enough. does it add to the immersion? not as much as a VKB might, or dual VKBs but ship movements are alot smoother comapred to keyboard. The setup that i use is: left right for strafe left right forward and backward for strafe up and down trigger and a key for strafe forward and back (after some practive you can control your inertia and momentum better) Roll on z axis Power management of the hat boost and countermeasures including scanning on the 3 keys aiming with mouse

You printed and installed your own left stick for the Logi3d? That's amazing! Logitech needs to get on the HoSaS and HoSaM train. There are a lot of really amazing pilots who do HoS, HoSaM, and HoSaS using just Logi3D, I totally agree with you practice is key.

I don't have a 3d printer but a family member does. where can i find 3d print left hand stick files? Been using it in my left hand for a few years now and trackball right hand.

@@sajasafosajasafo8207 After printing 2 versions for it, i absolutely wouldn't recommend it. You're better off using epoxy and making a base for your left hand, and maybe cut out the thumb button so u can hold it better. 3D printing is a bad idea, my sensors wouldn't work perfectly. Use epoxy to make a base, and invest in a VKB gladiator

I appreciate your video, but I find to follow your video was confusing,The volume was super low and your stick is in a different orientation, makes it kinda hard to follow

I can not for the life of me get that stick to work in Win11. Logitech homepage seems to only have drivers for Win10 and older.

COMMENT EDIT UPDATE: I'll get on this ASAP. If you have any error codes or other info on the roadblocks post below. I run windows 11 and got the Logitech working. I will work on removing the driver and doing a video from scratch to see if that helps. Logitech support for this stick is almost non-existent. Side note: IMHO Logitech and Thrustmaster are doing the entire Sim community a HUGE dis-service, as they advertise to be the premium brand and have such dated designs and support. Laaazy and non competative. Logitech bought Saitek but have not made any notable improvements. That said these sticks can be found pretty easily used and new so I'll keep with my best budget claim for now. :) Hopefully they respond to the market and update support and products soon. I am going to be releasing some very negative reviews of Logitech and Thrustmaster to hopefully add to the tending information about how they need to update their gear and support to be competitive in 2022.

i think i tried this stick on my win 11 first too don't think you need a software for it to work in SC, but iu do remember downlaoding a software for it. jsut installed the win 10 one you can also test the joystick on online sites to check for joystick inputs, to see if it's working or not. Maybe it's working in wondows and not in game, in which case the game might not be recognising it
