Seeing a lot of comments angry that I didn't disclose the shop and also some who found my hidden messages but have had different experiences with the shop so I'm going to cover a few things. If you rewatch the ending, the part I filmed in daylight you have all the answers you need but I'll explain again. I originally was going to name the shop but they recently reached out to me and I don't want to risk dealing with all of this again. I also don't want to have ANY risk for defamation claims because even though I have evidence sometimes an individual (please remember I'm just one person) going thru charges like this from a larger company can be insanely complicated,costly,stressful and I've seen some people be nearly ruined by just the process alone. I also mentioned that I ordered something from them recently and it did come so it is possible they've fixed their issues. I'm also not sure if the people who were communicating with me are still with the company. No company should behave this way but it's not going to end with this one shop. Other companies may do this and I want people to be aware not to tolerate it because no one told me this in 2015. I wanted to make this video to share my story and arm consumers and influencers with knowledge not to tolerate this sort of behaviour. This is not an advice, review or drama series. It's about sharing unfortunate events for entertainment and hopefully for viewers not to make the same mistakes or be prepared for certain situations. I hope that makes sense. There's a lot more coming to this series that may not be expressly disclosed or hidden for different reasons. I hope you enjoy and keep your eyes and ears open

I suffer under depression and anxiety (and other stuff) a lot so I can totally understand why you don't want to confront them again. You made an awful experience with them and it wasn't just a misunderstanding or "the employee was rude" situation. Thanks for sharing your story I absolutely love the lolita horror series.

Thanks for sharing. Kinda sounds like you had a run in with a person who had their own head up their own booty. Sometimes people forget that someone else's expierences are not shared for their opinion input. When someone tells a personal story, we're suppose to listen. We love ya Lor.

Receiving an item you ordered and paid for is the absolute bare minimum from a shop, I think everything you described is absolutely unacceptable.

Reviews don't have to be positive. It's better to give a negative review than to ignore doing a review at all, I think.

If you have a negative review for a company that sent you something. It can be just as bad if not worse when they find out. It's a big issue on Amazon. Companies will offer you a refund if you leave a positive review on a bad product. It's really sad

I mean she acts like she has no idea why they could have possibly not stopped asking her for a review like they didn't specifically tell her we are giving you free merchandise in exchange for a review. That review could have been a suggestion from an employee who saw her videos and really liked them and decided convincing the higher ups to let her have something for free or even possibly out of their own pocket could get help boost company sales. The smart thing to do would have been to instantly ask if she could return their merchandise back to them since she clearly didn't feel comfortable even doing the review anymore but instead she just kept stringing them along lol.

The reverse audio says something like: "The next episode is about boundaries. It includes two stories, one of the lolitas...." I couldn't really tell the end part 'cause it was said so quickly and jumbled.

"The next episode talks about boundaries. It includes 2 stories. One, of lolitas crossing boundaries. The other, about the mummies/mommies". That's what I figured out. I think the next episode is about people crossing personal boundaries of other people and moms interfering with their kids. (Unless there is an actual horror story involving a real Egyptian mummy.....)

my-lolita-dress is the store in question but i've made multiple orders with them in the past and have had no issues refarding out of stock items, refunds etc. 3 years has made the difference guys.

Jesus, it's ridiculous what some people think you owe them because they give you one free thing. If a sponsor gives an influencer things but no $$ the influencer doesn't actually owe the sponsor anything at all imo. It feels like to me this shop is one of those that doesn't really sell things, and just scams people by getting trusting influencers to promote them. I'm sorry you had to deal with such a shitty company >:

It really would do us a huge service to know who the shop is. Lolita clothing is already so expensive, confusing, and frustrating to order, so having a shop like this be the first introduction for a new lolita is troublesome. It seems they are still unreliable to this day.

I think I know which website you're talking about, and I had a very similar experience with out of stock items. Everything I ordered was out of stock. Then instead of a refund they offered to have me exchange for something else. It was a total bait and switch. They lure you in with cool items, take your money, and want you to walk away with something you never intended to buy in the first place. They were also extremely aggressive with emails about getting me to find something else in the shop when I just wanted a refund. Even months after I got my refund they contacted me asking if I was still interested in their shop. Honey, no.

That has happened to me in a lot of shops actually,but they informed me quicly and I chose another item,because my style is a weirdo mix of classic-hime-gothic-kuro lolita,so as long as it is dark with beautiful print and EXTREMELY much lace and ruffles I will get another item

Those ciphers at the end made me feel like it was 2013/2014 and I was back in my Marble Hornets decoding days. I'm sorry you had such an awful experience with [redacted] company but at least on your final ditch attempt you actually received a product! [redacted] company is setting the bar so low you could trip over it.

If anybody is wondering, the cipher at 18:58 says "If you can read this maybe you can find the shop in this video" and the cipher at 19:00 says "IN THE NEXT EPOSODE". The audio starting at 19:00 played in reverse and slowed down says "The next episode talks about boundaries. It includes 2 stories. One, of the lolitas crossing boundaries. The other, about the mommies".

Bloody hell, the fact that even when dealing with depression you had this seemingly unending supply of optimism to keep giving the company second chances is astounding. (I won't lie, I'm very curious as to what the company is or at least what's the dress that you got from them just now, but I understand why you won't disclose that.)

Holy moly, how can a company do this? Like go publicly on the internet and harass someone who wanted to represent them in a good way. That's just embarrassing and supreme unprofessional. Extra points for unprofessionalism for not updating the site to say that stuff is out of stock.

It's not really about being nice. It's more about not getting involved in a whole debacle like this again, defamation, harassment and possibly legal actions. Not naming the shop is a careful and wise move on her part. I know we're all so into cancel culture, but there are times where it's not a good move to make.

I knew the store once you mentioned about items “ suddenly “ being out of stock. I bought the same Diamond Honey Gingham dress you have but in blue, no confirmation, then received an email almost two weeks later that the wrist cuffs were “ out of stock “ when online it was fully in stock. Not only did my items take 4 months to arrive, with express shipping. The second dress I ordered was the wrong size, the wrong colour way, and the wrong cut. I reached out to them and said this is not what i ordered. They refused a refund and I only got store credits. THEN MY FRIEND ordered from this site and the same thing happened to her!! I wont be ordering from them anymore and i used those store credits to get a classical puppets petticoat, which came fine and in a week. Sorry this happened to you Lor, its definitely a situation that would suck to be in especially when youre facing a hard time.

Not related to Lolita fashion, but one time I wanted to buy an item (a seal pillow) from a small website called Ikiha. I was very close to buying it until I did a background check on the website only to discover that it was a scam storefront. There were hundreds of reviews written by people who had all been scammed the same way. Ikiha's method of scamming was to accept the money for your "purchase" and then not send you anything in the mail. Some people were messaged fake "tracking numbers" but most people didn't receive any responses from the company requesting tracking numbers, order confirmations, or refunds. Once they had your money, they were gone. Checking back on it a year later, it looks like they actually send items out now, but the items are of extremely low quality. I guess that's a step up for them? Case in point, if you ever decide to buy from an online store that you've never purchased from before then make sure to do your research.

When they asked you to pick something else, you should have asked for something that you order previously that was "out of stock" to see if they really didnt have it or of they were trying to scam you out of money.

Is their business model predominantly collecting interest on payments while waiting for customers to demand a refund (and/or hoping some customers give up badgering them and forget about their purchase)?! I assume some customers must occasionally get their purchases without extensive badgering, otherwise how the heck are they still in business?!

Wow, i'm actually shocked! That shop is actually where i bought my first "new" dress and petticoat also back in 2015! They also told me that my choice was out of stock and i could choose a different dress, so i chose one that was a little more expensice and everything went fine. I also bought a petticoat on there and everything was going fine, i liked customer service.. thanks for warning us!

I remember buying a dress from them and I purchased it in cream it took forever for them to contact me with and then they told me they sold the last cream color way to another girl (it was in stock in cream when i ordered it??) and that I'd have to pick another. I picked the pink colorway and when i got it it had a defect with the print. I asked for a partial refund because it was a pretty big defect and I didn't think it was worth the full price anymore. They offered to take ten bucks off of a 200+ $ dress and I had to argue with them again to exchange the dress for another dress without the defect. They offered to refund me shipping if i sent it to someone who was their proxy who lived in the us. I eventually got a new dress without the defect but they never refunded the shipping and at that point I didn't want to argue anymore so I just let it go. It left the worst taste in my mouth and I've never bothered to try and order anything else from them again. It makes me feel better that I wasn't the only person who got dicked around by them, because at the time I had only heard good things about them from other lolitas.

Oh, I had a quite similar experience with lolitawardrobe. I ordered a dress like in the end of 2018, and did not hear from the website for a couple of months. When I emailed them, they told that it is not available in the required size and suggested to choose another dress. I tried to choose, but the dresses I liked and within desired price range were not available in required size either. Just for mentioning, it was my first dress order from any lolita store. So, I asked them to refund me money. To be fair, I ordered 2 blouses from the same site before and received it in time all perfect and pretty. But after the dress story I don't feel comfortable to order again.

I had the same issue with that shop when I first started into lolita and they refused multiple times to give me a refund. We had to threaten them with legal action to get my money back. Not fun.

I actually ordered from this shop BEFORE this video but I'm not ordering again bc honestly I ended up getting told my dress was out of stock, so I asked if I could get a different colorway that was in stock. I didn't like the other as much but I loved the unique cut. I waited 3 months!!! But I ended up getting the dress in my 1st colorway choice... not the one I settled for??? Wtf.

Had the same experience with Uniqso, the circle lenses online shop. Their website has hundreds of listings, but they actually have next to nothing in stock, and I ended up having the longest conversation with them via email, where they asked me over and over again to chose another pair of lenses from them. It was ridiculous, and after they told me for the 5th time they didn't have stock for lenses I was trying to buy that were listed as available on their website, I decided to never deal with them again, and I found a new supplier.

i ordered a lolita coat from that same store during 2015 but i didn't have many problems as far as i remember. the shipping took a while though but i did get my item. apparently i just got really lucky. except!! however!! they made me pay an extra $20 after my order was confirmed for no apparent reason. (i ordered a custom sized coat which already costed extra so i should've been more suspicious of them now that i think about it) first the person said the measurements were wrong and i was like no. those are my actual measurements. but they told me to send the $20 anyway and my naive teenage self agreed promptly... anyway this video changed my whole perspective on the company now i'm not sure if i'll ever order from them again. i might just try lolitawardrobe next time or something

oh man, so if this the place I'm thinking of, I ordered my first OP from them in 2014 or 2015. I also got the extra 20 for the plus size, a hidden fee for "more material". They also sent me the wrong color dress and offered me a pair of socks to make up for it. I never thought anything of this because I ended up loving the dress anyway, but it's all coming together now

I know I'm replying to this late, and it'll probably get buried, but this sounds awfully familiar. I'm a guy and don't follow lolita fashion, however I do know that companies from a certain country (as listed on their Twitter) have a habit of poor customer service, cheaply made products, and *especially* hounding reviews for their review videos. A guy I follow on YT whose main focus is retro computers was asked to review a product, and *even though he told them when*, they would hound him every few days asking when the video would be posted. It seems to be a common theme with companies from there.

Can I just say I’m impressed how people can know about cyphers and stuff it’s something that I find so interesting but like how do you get good at noticing different kinds where do they come from like you never hear about cyphers anymore. Maybe that’s just in England but the first I heard of cyphers was from gravity falls and I just think it’s so cool and don’t know how to get into it

I watch a lot of horror content and from that I've learned about ciphers haha I think once you take a lot of it in you start to notice them or look for them more. If you are interested in more stuff like this I suggest the youtubers Reignbot and Nexpo ! They cover internet horror a lot and it's great because it's summarized and explained so if you can still get the stories and such without having to go through them all and narrated which makes it less scary ! They also go into hidden messages and stuff like that more and explain it!

They used to be my favourite reseller when I was a wee beginner (2014), and then one day they made a preorder for a Little Dipper dress with which I fell in love ♥ So i preordered it, only to be told weeks later that the preorder was cancelled. They then told me to choose another dress (they said that since I had used a prepaid card, they could not refund me /which was a lie but I didn't know at the time) so I chose another one, they made me pay 50 USD for the difference, and they shipped the parcel with DHL (even though I had asked them not to use DHL since in Canada, their custom fees are HIGH). I ended up getting 81$ in custom fees, and it's not even a dress I liked. but I did get the parcel, though. I guess there's that.

I actually had a similar experience with that shop a few years back! I tried to buy the Milu Forest Swan Lake jsk in white (I still love that dress to this day but haven't been able to get my hands on it). They told me it was out of stock and to pick a different one and I almost cried, as I thought I was gonna get what had become my dream dress. I ended up getting something similar in price but that I didn't love. It was upsetting lol

I'm really glad you made this video. I'm dealing with this right now... Others had told me they had issues but I ordered from them once before and it was fine and decided to order from them again. I ordered 3 "ready to ship" items with an 8-12 day processing time with the fastest shipping. It was over a month with no update from them. I contacted them and they told me some of the items were out of stock (same as you, the items were in stock on their site). Offered to ship the items separate once some was done. I told them no just ship everything when it's done and I will never trust their processing times again. A week later I get half my order.... No shipping notification, nothing. So now I'm not sure if I'll get the other half of my order, if they're going to try to charge me or what... They just said sorry :( we give you small gift. Not really worth the over 2 month wait time with zero updates and terrible communication. Definitely avoiding them from now on.

sounds like you had quite the unpleasant experience with them. maybe their a scam shop? I dealt with a scam toy shop, they never e-mail you or send ya package. glad I used paypal for that order and got my money back. ;3

BIG BIG YIKES thats absolutely unacceptable about the things they put you through. I ordered from [REDACTED] before with a guarantee my stuff would be shipped out in 2 weeks, and my stuff actually took about 6 months to actually be shipped out. Only after my stuff had been shipped they emailed me to say that the paticular colorway for the JSK i'd ordered was "out of stock" so instead theyd automatically shipped it out in a black colorway?? And also emailed to say the paticular socks I'd ordered were also out of stock, which luckily I did get a refund for but I would have liked to had some sort of message about that before like yknow...6 months had passed.

With this same reseller, a few years ago I did a preorder with them for this JSK I really wanted. I missed the deadline on the brand's Taobao shop but the reseller's preorder period was longer as they had an agreement (I think?). I placed the order, no communication at all. Not even an update email. When I emailed them inquiring about the order, again no communication but my package suddenly showed up days later. Like, am I supposed to read y'all minds lol. At least I got lucky.

damn i thought that may have been the shop, that sux. i really liked them. i got my first coord completely from them and it all worked out perfectly fine and was great cuz well they have custom tailoring. i had asked about them once in a group and everyone said they were legit too. so i wonder what went wrong in the past, cuz i rarely have seen anything bad about them.

If i remember correctly the store you’re talking about actually has been through some BIG improvements especially with communication and stuff, the owner has been really good with me so far about refunds/what dresses r in stock etc so i think the store has changed for the better!

I REALLY want to know who this shop is!! We would love to not be scammed LOL. This shop can't sue you for defamation if it's the truth, you can't sue over the truth by the way (if they ever tried). Like someone commented earlier, if you've got receipts, then they can't do anything.

There was no written contract between you and the store to do a review so you weren't legally obligated to do the review. I know you haven't revealed the shop name but at the end of the day with how bad they are, other people will know who they are and their business end will happen.

I’m extremely saddened to hear this. I have been a loyal customer of this store for years, even my GREAT GREAT GRANDMOTHER uses this store, I’m fully serious. I’m quite disgusted to hear of these practices and honestly just mourning the loss of the shop at this point. Couldn’t possibly feel right buying from them anymore.

Constant out of stock issues and continued refunds with an unprofessional media/marketing team are the hallmarks of a badly run company. Its also possible that maybe its just a few people working behind the scenes and its totally possible you may have been getting these from the owner. In my own world where I worked for companies both big and small, I have run into very vindictive owners and CEOs. People that have no filter and just cannot talk to perspective clients and influencers. That's why you have a marketing team who know how to manage it all and be professional. I have worked for owners who took things WAY too personally. Just a bad environment. Any managers or owners out there reading this, NEVER EVER get personal and always have an experienced marketing and PR manager handling the communication with influencers, spokespeople, etc. Out of stock issues could be a sign of drop shipping maybe? Drop shippers usually have low or stock that takes way too long to show up. If you got once piece immediately it may have been sitting in their office for all we know and everything else was never actually in a warehouse they own, just something they have to purchase from elsewhere. The second possibility is just a poorly run website and inventory management which could be the management and owner screwing up. I am sorry you had to deal with these people, it seems like a company that I hope got their act together and fixed their issues. Firing and rehiring people that are experienced in running a brand and company. I do mean actually firing because this stuff where I work would NEVER be tolerated by the heads. If our PR team pulled this on a client or a reviewer that they spoke too they would be out, no questions asked.
