I love to ice fish, and live in Minnesota. It seems strange to me seeing ice fishing in Nevada. I do like Northern Pike, but think they taste way better when caught out of cold water. They seem more firm and less gamey tasting. I honestly think Sin City Outdoors should someday take a trip to Lake of the Woods for some amazing fishing.

Northern pike, or as we call them, Northerns, are good eating. My daughter caught an 8-lb one once and we planked it on the grill. Many people complain about the bones in the northerns, but I grew up on them and I feel the large Y bones make it easier to pick them out when you eat them. Either way, delicious fish

Being from SE Tn. and never being in Nevada in winter I didn't realize the lakes froze over. You guys are alright, showing everyone a good time cooking fish on the ice. We need more good people.

Believe it or not just 2 1/2 hrs from Vegas in the desert its quite common, 3 hrs away at the reservoirs and lakes it can be below 20 for months during the winter. The lake where theyre at can get down to the single digits. As we say, it keeps the city slickers away. hahaha

We are somewhat new to your channel...my husband and I... I just want to say...as parents of 3 sons...wevwere just not outdoor family. As far as hunting and fishing. We traveled a lot when we lived in Southern Utah...with our boys... Every time we watch your channel...I am absolutely so impressed with the knowledge instilled with Jr....invaluable survival skills. Absolutely making memories with Family and Friends. I again enjoyed yet another video. Here in Indiana we've only had 3 inches of snow this winter and no ice fishing due to only a few days in the teens. Of course in March we can have anything from a blizzard to a Tornado. Wow that was a great video guy thank you very much for sharing that experience. Sitting in fishing around the lake with people friends family is a lot of fun. What a beautiful scenery. Love fishing at Comins and Cave Lakes. Back before someone Illegally put Pike in this lake we caught 7-10 lb footballs with nice Bass too. Trout fishing slowed down in the 80’s-10’s. We usually just went to Eagle Valley. I now live in Pike City Minnesota we’re catching 10-20 lb Pike and Muskies often. We always had great times in Ely just like y’all and would site in my guns at the shooting range every year before hunting Area 10! BTW y’all need a Chucker Hunt 😊

Ice fishing used to be my favorite until a few yrs ago we went and got our holes drilled started fishing and the ice broke around me that done me in I've never been that cold in my life. You guys keep catching and making great videos so we can enjoy. Stay Safe🤘🇺🇸🤙

When I was a kid, my family would go up to northern Quebec, where my family came from, for a winter visit. My dad and my uncles, cousins, etc., would go ice fishing on the local lakes. One of my uncles had a shack on skids that he would drag out on to the lake behind his Suburban, and leave it there for the winter. It had a pot belly stove and card table. It didn't take me too long to figure out that they were having ME go out and tend the lines while they drank whiskey and played cards! Froze my butt off! Great memories though...

Me and my family live in central Idaho and we go yearly to visit my wife’s family in Vegas and always pit stop in Ely for a day or 2. Great little town.
