Helen, you are quite right to tell and show it how it is on the canal. There will be many people out there that will be watching canal vloggers videos and getting the wrong impression otherwise. Also going out and buying boats with their retirement / hard earned money to then realise it isnt all roses! BTW we are boaters (13 years)...been all over..rivers, canals so know exactly what it is really like...we're also northerners (from t'other side.. Yorkshire) but moor in Cheshire.might see you out and about sometime. Take care!

Great vlog 👍 There is a lot of idiots about Speeding boats That don't care even to slow down for moored up boats. And now you've met the knob heads in the tunnel.i hope you put them right lol. And I've just seen on Facebook a higher boat have sunk In a lock by catching it on the cill 😢

Hi Helen and Tony, I loved your vlog, despite the collision of personalities. Passing a tunnel is a real test about canal courtesy. All boaters have a learning curve, with inexperienced drivers you can hardly see it's a curve yet, hahaha! They don't need to be rude though, you have every right to confront their behaviour. Enough said, I am in sync again with past and current events. Heidi the Narrowboat Pirate is very down to earth and sometimes blunt, but still a sweetheart, Aarrrgh! So Tony found a way to stay off camera, very clever to shoot some footage of his own! I hope you have a good time cruising ahead, see you in the next vlog! Thanks for the vlog! I have chronic pain issues and have had foot surgery. Pain takes my pleasant personality at times so I understand. So sweet of you to film those people, especially the parents. What a treat for them to be able to show others. Now the tunnel, I get it! I’m a rule follower and when people cock things up by doing their own thing it’s infuriating!

Good Morning Helen, Tony and Captain Bruce, Lovely area there and clean looking. It is annoying when people do not apologise when they are in the wrong, sorry or thank you won't go amiss. There are certainly a lot of ignorant sods about today, it's me first and sod you attitude. When you were talking to the people on the small boat, with the oldish couple, and you said they'd just had a birthday. I thought you were going to say they'd just they had a baby - Bloody hell, I thought! Hope the weather is not too much for Captain Bruce. My dog is not a lover of it. On a negative note though you always get people who ignore the rules and get away with it. It's a pity you weren't a fully loaded working boat they would have shit themselves. Thanks for a lovely cruise and as usual had me in stitches laughing, shame about the holiday people being ignorant of a serious safety ruling and as Tony said "own your mistakes". Also there's no mileage in telling 'porkies' , if I cock up I'll say "there's my arse, kick it". If it's the other way round and they tell me lies I would struggle to deal with it (sometimes) as well as you two did. Moan moan moan moan! What moan? I never noticed any moaning. Well nothing more than is usual. However, I have a rant. You said you were going to show us what it was like from inside the boat whilst travelling through the tunnel. It never happened. I am really, really disappointed as I was so looking forward to experiencing travelling through the tunnel inside your boat whilst you cooked Tony's mixed grill on your cooker. Mmmm! Maybe not. My guess is your cooker still has the protective packaging on it from new. Tell me I am right. Still, you did manage to end your journey at the Number 3 although Tony almost missed a Number 2. Heidi would have been really pleased to see you. Well, maybe not your bum, but if you hand over a bottle of Rum she would share it with her Mum. Hey that rhymes. I'm a poet and I didn't know it. Just to let you know, I watched Lancashire Ladies play against Yorkshire Ladies at cricket here in Mirfield this afternoon. I am pleased to tell you that Yorkshire won, mainly because they played with faster balls.
