Welcome to our new VLOG on here! Vlog 26!
This week we take you from the river weaver in Cheshire, up the Anderton Boat Lift and onto the Trent and Mersey again.
We plan to go onto the river weaver again but we need to get more information and knowledge about where to moor. We have to head back to Pennington Wharf regardless as I am due my foot operation.
We have not let the events with one person put us off the river weaver at all...we think next time we will turn right from Anderton Boat Lift and head towards Dutton.
The Anderton Boat Lift is absolutely amazing! It is one of the best things we have ever done. The Canal and River Trust staff were absolutely superb and made it such a pleasurable experience.

Hi Helen thanks for the seeds they arrived safely the cards are lovely I am going to give one to my brother and one to my sister in memory of my mum and the others I’m going to put in the church yard somewhere I have to get permission but I will get them in where I can .I must say don’t let people put you down we think your a breath of fresh air always full of fun a pleasure to watch because you lift my spirits xxx

Great footage of the tour Tony, when you held the camera over the Edge I went all giddy haha! Always a Laugh watching you two ejoyed every minute! That's my worst nightmare Tony going into an Elsan and finding a pot full of gold! haha :)

Good afternoon Helen and Tony. Good views of the lift and seeing the gearing on top which is now not in use. It must have been a complicated job in the days when it was built. Hope you have had no more idiots about since your last vlog. Captain Bruce soaking it all in, not a care in world. Have a good week and hope the weather improves x

It didn't take you long to get the return journey on the Anderton CHAIR lift. You need an Ena Sharples hair net to control that Barnet. It's got a mind of it's own. The two CRT guys weren't watching the CHAIR lift, they were simply thankful you had gone. The hot dog stall had just got a big delivery of sausages because they had heard you were in the area. Little did they know you were leaving. Tony is always blowing his horn. The guy wasn't stalking you. He was just making sure you were really leaving. Tony's pipe is a long one. But I guess if you're gonna have one, have a big 'un. What with toilets blocked with floaters and no diesel things were going down the plughole. Even Bruce tried to abandon ship. The look around the boat lift was interesting. What a marvelous bit of engineering that is. Thanks for the vertical voyage. See you next week.

Love going on the lift the last time we went on we'd just had the boat painted it was pouring with rain when we got off the whole boat was covered in a slime I was devastated I made hubby Moor up and wouldn't move till I'd washed it all off 😂that tour was amazing you see it totally differant from being on the boat amazing technology. Love watching your vlogs lovely people x

Thank you for your return vlog around Anderton Boatlift. It used to be a complex machinery with lots of gears and motors which now all are out of service. I can imagine Tony wanted to take a peek on a guided tour and hear all about the works. For the first time I noticed your boat has a nifty foldable tiller, what kind of figure is on the tiller pin?

Yes he went for the tour to find out all about it. Unfortunately the wind was too loud even with the microphone to hide it. We have a rhinoceros- Tony supports leeds rhino rugby team xxx
