i mean... i dont live in the usa but these 2 do fit the image i have of some of the cops over there. no sense of humour to the point they're not aware of its existence, take everything literal, if its not done in a way to their liking its the wrong way.

This movie was greatly appreciated back in the day in my country(Bulgaria). I was born in the late 80s, but I first saw it in 1993. It was the first movie on my dad's TV channel. He had just started a cable TV company and this movie was used for the test run. Considering that we had 2 TV channels + 1 channel in Russian in certain days that was a big fucking deal

When I was a young man in the 90's it was still ok to date a subordinate at work PROVIDED they did not directly report to you and you had no formal (and ethically informal) impact on their career. Now most companies simply ban either any workplace dating at all or, usually at minimum have lower ranks have to date exclusively lower ranks and if you are a Manager even if your proposed date works from home in another division or even in offices at the other end of the country, you simply can't do it. Quite frankly, I think todays workplace dating policies (including what counts as abuse of a authority) are too strict and often antihuman but to be fair such policies only exist because modern Sexual harassment law has gotten ever stricter and more Orwellian as well as arguably more sexist (Reasonable woman standard instead of Reasonable Person, let alone Reasonable Man).

I have watched other people talk about movies related to their job and it was more clear. But still if you watch movies to see real life its kind of missing the point, but if that is the point of your video I guess good job!

Basic training has got to have a bunch of wild stories 🤣 you are taking kids fresh out of high school or college and completely changing their world. Police academy has similar elements but I feel it is much less challenging physically/mentally but is harder academy only because of the learning component of the law.

There is a layer of satire within our review of this movie most people missed. We get that this was a "comedy", it was just a bit problematic at times and didn't come from a creative place that would be relatable. Google examples of shows that do a much better job is Brooklyn 99 or Reno 911. Those are objectively better at LEO related comedy 🤣

This, in my opinion, is an accurate representation of this of online cop hater (everyone is an individual and only bigots make gerealizations). Your lack of real world experience lead to to believe (inaccurately) that either of these retired officers had a military background or felt inferior to a old slapstick comedy about police academy 🤣 All of their body cam is already public record (like all of it is/should be) and they both received honorable discharges for their service. Go find actually shit cops (who totally exist) on the internet and shit post their videos... or watch any of the other content we produce here, we out bad policing allllll the time. (Or don't, we "fit the description" I guess and that is good enough for some people to pass judgment.)
