This week Casey and Brent return from Adepticon with lots of things to talk about! We want to thank everyone for the amazing support you all showed at the con. Getting to meet and talk in person was amazing, we can't wait for next year!

EQUIPMENT:

Don’t hold back on those Artis Opus brushes. I got them and they are AWESOME - just so much better than a makeup brush or cheap Army Painter brush. Actually - they’re comparable to AP, but the length of the bristles make them better. I don’t understand why AP didn’t just lengthen their bristles - but being shorter, one can’t work as quickly as they could with AO brushes. The AO brushes are a treat to use!

One of these days, Resin Beast is going to allow minis from one of those companies that made a Brent mini. That year is going to be either your best or worst Adepticon ever.

I use the army painter dry brushes (artis opus are not easy to get where I live, and the shipping almost doubles the price). Make up brushes are good, but the army painter dry brushes are definitely better. Makes sense seeing as makeup brushes are designed to use powdered pigments, not liquid paint. Still use make-up brushes for vehicles and terrain, but use the army painter dry brushes on minis. Keeping the brush slightly damp makes the world of difference too.

Great to hear more adoption of siocast is coming. :D The 3D print stacking has been around for a couple years now, I remember seeing it when I was working with intraoral scans 5 years ago. Stoked to see more 3D printed bits come to consumers, though.

The reasons you stated is exactly why para bellum gets my hobby dollars. They work hard to make a good game and good mini's. They have been very open that they do see that mistakes were made AND admit it!!!!!
