I visited a girl whom I was talking to at the time back in October in Georgia. While visiting, showed her your channel and she was complimenting how pretty you were and liked how you made your vids. She was vietnamese born and came to the states 6 years ago, her style choices werent too over the top but she was definitely cosmetic crazy and spent a lot on that and other things. We still talk here and there, and she always states that me and your videos have made her save a lot more money and prioritize things of value and meaning in her life and she thanks me all the time for it. I was already pretty minimalistic myself + I hate having debt xD. Congrats on 100k, i think it only took what like 7-8 months? I do hope to have a long term partner whose as free thinking and spirited as yourself

Yours is one of those very rare RU-vid channels for which I am glad I found and will refer to often. Your words, presence and energy speak volumes. I've often struggled with materialism and the wanting of things, which in turn leads to stress about having enough money to acquire said things, which in turn leads to issues of self-worth and acceptance. And for what exactly? And why is that a priority over so many other concepts that actually do have the possibility to manifest joy in ways that will outlast material possessions?

I loved how you explained how slow living should adapt to your life and not the other way around. I always try to find excuses why things are hectic, but it’s actually all about oneself. You appeared in my feed today and I watched a few of your videos - the combination of your calmness, beauty and minimalist approach produce such an appealing and almost mesmerizing effect. Coincidentally, I began playing with YT in past couple of years also. I also used a G7X (mark II) and just bought a Sony A6600 and also lived/worked on Maui for 3 months in 1979 and I use Davinci Resolve 17 (I like MrAlexTech, Casey Farris and William Justice) - can't beat the price and it has more features than we'll ever need. I'm in Davis, CA now but will likely spend significant time in Asia (Philippines) in the future. I also worked in Ulsan, Pusan and Seoul briefly in the past. Keep up the good work - your numbers are inspiring - just a little better than my 56 subscribers 😂 I worked and stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel in Wailea - think it's long gone now - can never seem to find it on a map. Rambling too much ... need to be more minimalist with my words 😁

They always make me feel relaxed :) i am a minimalist and have been for years but often when i look for other minimalists i just see massive closet clear outs from people beginning minimalism when i really just want ideas from other minimalists only going through a few items and being really intentional and thoughtful with their pieces and i feel you do that :) i also live in Alaska and am from Hawaii so it is fun to see someone on here who has some commonalities

Hi Sophie, I´m the same lady that asked about how you "trained" your hair. When I watched this video, I thought I had experienced a time warp and was watching my own life story, albeit with different timing. My parents were Korean, I grew up in California, went to University of Hawaii and now live in Germany. It sound like the only missing place we share was Alaska. Although I plan to live the rest of my life here in Germany, in a few years, I would love to have a place in Hawaii to live there part of the year. I even looked like you at your age while I lived in Hawaii, long wavy hair, tanned skin, similar Korean features. Maybe fate will have us meet one day.

It's also good waiting (we're in our mid 30s) because you have more income and just a better mindset, we also wanted to finish our Master's degrees first.
